The purpose of this essay was to get some knowledge about how the situation was for children with overweight and obesity. I wanted to examine what experience about causes, consequences and measure the professionals, who meets children in different situations in their daily work had, and I wanted to find out which explanations current research had about the problem.The knowledge I have acquired during my work with this paper about the problem was that it was depending on many different factors on various stage in the child's life which influences and interacts with the child in its development. The risk that a child would develop overweight was amongst other things depending on the child's eating- and exercising habits.This habit was formatted for example by the circumstances in the family, availability of sweets/food and the choice of leisure time activities.The consequences for the overweight/obese children could be that the child did not manage to keep up with its friend's physical activities which led to a sense of rejection, risk of being bullied by friends, the risk of a damaged physical and psychic health. The problem was not easy to measure and all of the studies demonstrated that parental involvement is necessary in an effective treatment of childhood obesity..

Detta arbete undersöker det muntliga interimspråket hos två f.d. illitterata L2-inlärare av svenska. Informanternas språksystem analyseras utifrån Klein och Perdues teori om basvarietet som slår fast att kortutbildade inlärare som tillägnar sig ett L2 informellt utvecklar ett språksystem som präglas av förenklade strukturer och ett begränsat ordförråd, men som fungerar väl i kommunikativa syften. Arbetet syftar till att pröva om teorin är tillämpbar även på f.d. illitterata inlärare som deltagit i formell undervisning och uppnått kursmålen för SFI 1A.

Under åren 1976, 1986, 1996 och 2006 gjorde ungdomar i Mönsterås kommun val till gymnasieskolan, har jag gjort kvalitativa intervjuer med tre stycken från varje år. För att undersöka vilka faktorer som har spelat roll i deras val av gymnasier linje/program. Har skolan och samhället haft någon betydelse för ungdomarna då de gjorde sina val, eller finns det andra faktorer som påverkat deras val. I arbetet kan jag se att den sociala bakgrunden haft en stor betydelse för eleverna, och att föräldrar som kulturbärare haft en inverkan på eleverna då de gjorde sina val till gymnasieskolan. Resultatet i helhet visar även att fast skolan och samhället har förändrats under dessa år, så är den sociala reproduktionen fortfarande svår att bryta..

Examensarbetet gick ut på att konstruera ett robotlås. Ett robotlås håller fast roboten i sitt transport/utskjutningsrör till det är dags för roboten att avfyras. Det första som gjordes var att förutsättningslöst försöka komma på så många grundidéer som möjligt. Efter detta togs de krav vi hade fått med. Dessa bestod av mått- krafts- tids- och miljökrav.

This thesis examines the ongoing European political debate on the links between livestock production and climate change. In the end of 2006 the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) released their report Livestock?s long shadow, showing that livestock production represents some 18 % of the total global greenhouse gas emissions. A water treatment unit consisting of two aeration basins, two settling tanks, a residence basinand a horizontal subsurface flow wetland were used to treat wastewater from an eggprocessing factory in Brazil. The aim of this paper was to determine the efficiency of thesystem in reducing nitrogen, phosphorus, BOD5 and TSS (among other parameters) andgetting a further understanding on different kinds of constructed treatment wetlands as well astheir nitrogen and phosphorus removal processes. The wastewater from the factory consistedof process water from manufacturing and water used for cleaning, no stormwater or sewagewater entered the system. Tests were taken three times a month from October 2013 ?til April2014.

Uppsatsen utvärderar om utländskt ägande har förändrat sammansättningen av den svenska VD:ns lön. För att utvärdera detta genomför vi en kvantitativ undersökning av företag på Stockholmsbörsens A-lista. Data består av VD-löner, uppdelat på fast och rörlig lön, samt utländskt ägande. Undersökningen ska visa om det finns samband mellan utländskt ägande och förändringen i VD-lönen under tidsperioden 1999-2004. I undersökningen finner vi tendenser till att utländskt ägande påverkat sammansättningen av den svenska VD-lönen.

The aim of this thesis was to study financial support within the Church of Sweden and the view of the church?s diaconal work. This was done with a quantitative method where a survey sent to a number of churches containing questions about financial support within the church and how they, the respondents, looked at the church?s role as a welfare agent. Of the almost 200 congregations only 23 congregations responded.

I denna studie undersöks det ifall karaktärer med psykopatiskt beteende uppfattas mindre skrämmande och mer lättsamt i animerad form än i icke-animerad form. En litteraturstudie har genomförts som till stor del fokuserar på psykopater i film och de extrema personligheter och beteende som är frekventa i animerade verk. Två klipp har skapats utifrån två icke-animerade referensklipp innehållandes psykopatiska karaktärer spelade av skådespelare med identisk handling, karaktärsbeteende och miljö fast i animerad form. Dessa animerade klipp utvärderas genom strukturerade kvalitativa intervjuer med en fokusgrupp inriktad på föräldrar med barn som är 7-9 år gamla. Undersökningen visar att de animerade karaktärerna upplevs som mindre skrämmande och mer lättsamma än sina icke-animerade motsvarigheter..

This paper was written at the Baltic Business School in Kalmar. The purpose was to analyze and determine the importance of packaged holidays within the tourism and travel sector and how value can be created for the customer. This have been done with a focus on the chosen parts; customer needs and how packaging can create value, how companies can work to give the customer increased value through packaging, last but not least how companies segment the market and if there are specific segments that prefer packaging. We have applied the qualitative method through conducting four face-to-face interviews and one phoneinterview. The purpose of this paper is not to generalize, but to show patterns in the chosen subject.

Background: Flavan-3-ols are polyphenolic phytochemicals belonging to the flavonoids. Flavan-3-ols are present in many higher plants and are particularly concentrated in e.g. Camellia sinensis (tea) and Theobroma cacao (cacao) and have got attention due to their antioxidative capacity. Many studies have been able to associate flavan-3-ol-rich foods to improved endothelial function. The aim of the present work is to review the scientific literature and evaluate the evidence for positive effects of flavan-3-ols on endothelial dysfunction in humans. Method: Scientific articles describing intervention and observational studies about flavan-3-ols and endothelial dysfunction, were searched for on http://www.pubmed.org.

The aim of this essay was to acquire an enhanced knowledge about young immigrants? point of view of integration. During a former practical training semester I became interested in what the young immigrants thought about their own integration, what their conception was about this issue. I found that it had different meaning to different persons, to some it meant assimilation, to others it meant being able to interact with the opposite gender. To examine this I used interviews and interviewed an amount of young immigrants in different stages of their studies in Swedish.

Syftet med denna undersökning var att ta reda på förskollärares syn på utomhuspedagogik i förskolan. Våra frågeställningar var: Hur definierar förskollärare begreppet utomhuspedagogik? Hur beskriver förskollärare användningen av utomhuspedagogik i praktiken? I vår studie intervjuade vi åtta förskollärare på sex olika förskolor. Resultatet visar att samtliga deltagare säger sig använda sig av utomhuspedagogik fast på flera olika sätt. En del av deltagarna sa sig använda sig av utomhuspedagogiken på ett medvetet sätt medan övriga såg utevistelsen i sig som utomhuspedagogik.
