Many companies do not register all the stops that occur in a production plant, it often takes longer to report than to fix the problem. If no problems are registered, you cannot trace where the problems arise.This master thesis was performed at AcobiaFLUX and they have noticed an increased demand from their customers to trace problems raised in their processes. The aim of the thesis was to find out how a tool to monitor a process best could be developed. Then the most essential from the theoretical base was developed into a useful tool for operators. For the operators to know if the process utilizes the full capacity of a process, the tool presents a measure of the Overall Equipment Efficiency, OEE.

With the climate change issues growing in importance on the social agenda, the field of urban masterplanning is of no exception when it comes to minimizing the carbon footprint in a variety of projects. The aim of this thesis has been to prepare the Carbon Critical Masterplanning tool, a software plugin for carbon dioxide emissions assessment developed by Atkins, to be used in Swedish conditions. The main targets were to improve the areas of the tool associated with energy conversion and renewable energy sources, and to test the tool in a real case. A planned construction of a new campus in Albano, Stockholm was chosen for the pilot study. A 3D model was built in the tool and the carbon footprint was calculated for a variety of combinations for energy supply to the future area.

The thesis first objective was to develop field instructions for forest planning of native forests in Andean Patagonia, and the second objective was to test the plan on an actual property in the area. The thesis was limited to studies in the province of Rio Negro. The purpose with this project is to compare different fuels when investing in a central combustion station at a case study farm. I have chosen to write about biofuel from an economical perspective. This because the heating costs are steadily increasing. Also because the farm in this case study has several different heating systems, which are neither profitable nor easy to work with. I have made calculations regarding usage of splinter, wood and grain for the heating system.

The purpose of this study is to propose and formulate quantitative indicators to help measure an aspect of the Environmental Objectives in Swedish legislation: ?A Good Built Environment, Interim Target 2.? The governmental bill 2004/05:150 suggests changes to Interim Target 2: By 2010 built environments of cultural heritage value will be identified and placed under long-term sustainable management. Following the revised formulation regarding sustainable management, indicators should be formulated to measure the fulfilment of sustainable management of built environments of cultural heritage value. An important part of management takes place at the municipal level of planning, where detailed development plans include regulations to protect built environments of substantial cultural heritage value. As a result, this study is focusing upon the regulatory function of the Swedish Planning and Building Act in respect to the built environments of cultural heritage value.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att på Huntley farm i Lusaka, Zambia undersöka gårdens möjligheter att utvinna biogas i framtiden ur deras restprodukter i form av gödsel från nötkreatur, kycklinguppfödning, höns samt avlopp från slakteri. Huntley farm ägs av Zambeef Products PLC som är en av Zambias största kött och jordbruksproducenter med en marknad i södra Afrika.För att göra farmen mer miljövänlig samt minska energikostnaderna har beräkningar gjorts på hur mycket biogas som teoretiskt går att utvinna ur substraten. Därefter kan biogasen användas till bränsle samt som ett komplement för generering av el vid eventuellt strömavbrott.Rapporten undersöker hur mycket substrat som finns tillgängligt på farmen under ett år och med hjälp av teoretiska värden för varje substrat beräknas det totala biogasutbytet. Behandling av farmens totala energiförbrukning och energikostnader har gjorts för att se vad biogasen ska användas till samt hur mycket energikostnaden kan skäras ner.En blivande biogasanläggning på Huntley farm skulle teoretiskt sätt kunna producera 1 464 000 m³ uppgraderad biogas vilket motsvarar 14,2G Wh el eller 1 450,8 m³ diesel. Efter energiförluster i form av uppvärmning av anläggning samt generering av el skulle den producerade energin bli 3,37G Wh eller uppgraderad biogas som motsvarar 725,4 m³ diesel eller 1450,8 m³ diesel om biogasanläggningen inte underhållas med biogas.

The purpose has been to investigate how practicing teachers perceived management and their own leadership style, whether they made conscious choices and if so, whether they then had any purpose in their leadership style. Teachers' views of a good leader and how much influence students have on the teaching, enter into these issues.The survey is based on a qualitative research approach, based on interviews with four active teachers. In metropolitan areas where the exploitation pressure increases, also the importance to point out nature areas grows, both for the sake of outdoor life and for biodiversity conservation. Since nature conservancy and spatial planning constitute two different parts of the municipalities land use control, a case study has been carried out in two municipalities in the Stockholm region, Huddinge and Järfälla. Both these municipalities have protected about one third of their land and today there are plans to repeal parts of the reserves to enable exploitation. This thesis shows ? from the theoretical concept of sustainable development ? officials, politicians and non-governmental organizations perspectives on questions concerning land use together with the work with nature reserves and repeals.
