Globalization is one of the most popular catchphrases in the international relations debate today. Globalization is a complex concept with as many definitions as authors. National borders or jurisdictions do not control the phenomenon, instead, it is moving without restraints from region to region. Is this a threat to the sovereignty of nation-state and an end of the system of Westphalia? Does the globalization undermine the nation-state by increased factor-mobility, less tax revenue and participations multilateral co-operations, as the globalists think? Or is it strengthens its importance by offering better allocation of resources through free and healthy competition, as the skeptics believe.The aim of this thesis is to analyze theories of globalization by applying them on Sweden and the Netherlands.

Upplevelseindustrin och upplevelsesamhÀllet har vuxit fram och blivit alltmer betydelsefull eftersom de flesta idag lever ett ekonomiskt bra liv och dÀrför vill uppleva saker utöver sin vardag. En upplevelse bestÄr till stor del av bemötandet frÄn andra mÀnniskor pÄ plats, ofta frÄn de som arbetar dÀr. Personalen blir en del av helhetsupplevelsen. En kvalitativ studie har gjorts för att fÄ en bild av vad som definierar en bra arbetsplats och om ett upplevelseperspektiv med vÀrdskap i förgrund har nÄgon relevans för detta. I studien har jag utgÄtt frÄn mitt eget perspektiv jag fÄtt under mina Är som studerande pÄ upplevelseproduktion pÄ LuleÄ Tekniska Universitet.

IT-arkitekterna Àr ett företag under utveckling och dÄ det sett att socialamedier i dag har stor inverkan pÄ mÀnniskor vill företaget skaffa enstrategi för att, i den mÄn det Àr möjligt och lönsamt, nyttja fördelarnamed dessa kanaler. För att kunna sÀtta upp denna strategi har enlitteraturstudie samt intervjuer genomförts för att hitta en definition förbegreppet sociala medier. Resultatet visar att sociala medier Àr dÄ text,bild och ljud anvÀnds för att kommunicera via Internet. Med hjÀlp avbland annat teorier om socialt nÀtverk och socialt kapital harnyckelbegrepp identifierats. Dessa nyckelbegrepp pekade pÄ attpersonalen eftersöker stÀrkt samhörighet och ökad kommunikationinom företaget.

Bakgrund: En bransch dÀr det i nulÀget syns ett ökat behov av personal Àr förskoleverksamheten, vilket bland annat beror pÄ pensionsavgÄngar. Det Àr dock idag inte lika mÄnga som utbildar sig till förskollÀrare med konsekvensen att det rÄder personalbrist inom förskolan. Friskolereformen har ocksÄ medfört att det rÄder en konkurrenssituation mellan kommunala förskolor och privata alternativ. Detta gör att det Àr betydligt viktigare för arbetsgivare att vara attraktiva, dÄ de sökande kan stÀlla högre krav pÄ bÄde arbetsgivare och arbetsplats. Det finns alltsÄ fler lediga jobb Àn det finns förskollÀrare.Syfte: Syftet Àr att skapa kunskap om och förstÄelse kring hur förskollÀrarstudenter uttrycker att en attraktiv arbetsgivare bör vara och vilka faktorer de vÀrderar högst vid val av arbetsplats och arbetsgivare.

It can be challenging, but also instructive in some ways. This study examines how it is experienced by the siblings with no diagnosis. The aim is also to investigate how many of them who acquired some kind of support or, if not, would have wished that.Qualitative data are collected by means of five interviews with non-diagnosed siblings.

Internationella företag vÀrlden över vÀljer att i allt större utstrÀckning förlÀgga sin forskning och utveckling, FoU, utomlands och Sverige Àr det land dÀr utvecklingen gÄr snabbast. Syftet med uppsatsen Àr att undersöka vad som förklarar internationaliseringen av FoU, samt vilka möjligheter och utmaningar utvecklingen medför för Sverige. För att besvara detta genomför vi en studie av Sveriges största internationella industrikoncerner. Resultaten tyder pÄ att anpassning till lokal marknad och stöd till produktion Àr de dominerande motiven, vilket indikerar att verksamhet i utlandet snarare kompletterar Àn ersÀtter svensk FoU. Utvecklingen medför dels en möjlighet för Sverige att dra nytta av den kunskap företagen erhÄller utomlands, och dels att svenska företag blir mer konkurrenskraftiga pÄ utlÀndska marknader.

The aim of this study has been to, through a couple of chosen theories, examine in what way and for what purposes Japan has used its international aid system, How can the nation have been said to have implemented and acted in lines with the philosophies and principles set forth in the ODA declaration. What approaches, concerning positive and negative aid sanctions in the matters of aid to Cambodia and Burma, have been chosen and what have the motives for these choices been. What have been the determining factors of the outcome related to these sanctions - economic, political and/or matters of identity? I have found that a concern for possible decrease in economic profit and investment related areas, combined with a feared loss of political prestige and worsened diplomatic relations to the neighbouring countries in the Asian society, have come to overtrump the notion of advocating democracy, human rights, environmental and anti-militaristic issues..

In industry applications, such as power supply plants, the issue of interaction between fluid and structure is always presented. More precisely, the fluid flow affects the structure by applying force(s) on it and vice versa. As a result, the structure can move (vibrate) or deform. A good understanding of this problem can help to design the system in term of safety, stability and efficiency.This project aims to optimize and test the Unicorn FSI solver from the FEniCS project [1] to simulate the interaction of fluid and structure in an experiment, which was carried out at Vattenfall Research and Development. The target is to improve the Unicorn FSI solver to cope with a real industrial problem.

Preschool is an important social arena for children. This might be the first time that children find themselves in a larger social context and create their first peer-relations. The aim of this study was to examine children?s peer-relations with particular focus on the acts of social exclusion and inclusion, and how children use different strategies to exclude and include each other. Another aim was to investigate how both verbal and non-verbal communication is used in these processes.This study has an ethnographic approach, and the use of video observation as a method enabled us to capture the children?s everyday interactions at preschool.Our results show that children use a number of different strategies to exclude other children that seek access to an ongoing activity to protect the interactional space that they already share.

This has for many companies resulted in an increased interest to explore the possibilities of mobile platforms and how they can be integrated in various business areas. As the usage of mobile platforms in industrial applications is a new area, it is difficult for companies to estimate their potential, and what contributions the different platforms can give.This master thesis investigates the possibilities and limitations for the consultant firm Combitech when integrating mobile platforms and handheld devices in industrial applications. This is accomplished through a comparison between the platforms and by considering the possible areas of use for the mobile platforms based on experiences from companies and research in the area.For a company with the intent to deliver services that use mobile platforms, it is important to be able to combine expertise and resources to effectively attract customers. The mobile platforms will, if applied right, give great possibilities in industrial applications as a cost-effective alternative for both hardware and software solutions for businesses, which provides an opportunity to sell services to both established and new clients.

Our language bear traces of who we are and of the culture we live in. As human beings we create language in interaction with other people and with our society. Media and commercials are other factories that strongly influence our everyday life as well as our language. With this study we would like to illuminate how our surroundings influence our language. We focus on the language of young people and their use of symbols, phrases and expressions when they reflect on relations.

Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka om dagens lagstiftning pÄ omrÄdet rÀcker till för att fungera pÄ en samordnad arbetsplats. KÀrnan i arbetet har varit att utreda och studera hur lagstiftningen ser ut, hur arbetsmiljön pÄ arbetsplatser fungerar och vilka brister som kan uppstÄ nÀr flera arbetsgivare verkar pÄ samma arbetsplats.Det har blivit uppenbart under arbetets gÄng att systemet Àr ganska komplext och att aktuell lagtext Àr anpassade efter att verka pÄ arbetsplatser med en, och inte flera arbetsgivare. Det blir mer komplicerat att hÄlla arbetsgivare ansvariga vid en arbetsplatsolycka eller vid arbetsmiljöbrister nÀr flera arbetsgivare verkar pÄ samma arbetsplats och kommunikation och information brister. Med detta medföljer att arbetsmiljöns kvalité inte gÄr att sÀkerstÀlla. Med exemplet och rÀttsfallet som tas upp i arbetet blir problematiken synlig och svagheterna i gÀllande rÀtt pÄ omrÄdet blir till klarhet.

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate the need of working instructions in Derome TrÀteknik ?s industrial house-building factories. Furthermore we wanted to determine an appropriate way for developing working instructions adapted to the conditions in a certain production environment. In the construction industry today prefabricated building elements are frequently used. With this come repetitive work tasks that need to be carefully planned.
