There is an ongoing process where the free market within the European Union is expanding, partly through the incorporation of new member states, partly through the signing of association agreements with nearby countries and regions. When trade barriers are removed in different ways more companies consider an internationalization of the company. However, the procedure of the internationalization of companies is a rather new and unexplored area in the context of research. The focus of this study is therefore to examine how a few companies situated in Sweden, has proceeded while searching for knowledge during the internationalization process. Data has been collected through interviews that have been balanced with information from Internet and other sources.

Huvudsyftet med denna uppsats var att beskriva och analysera vilka interna hinder för organisk tillvÀxt som upplevs i mogna företag. Syftet var vidare att föreslÄ hur dessa hinder kan övervinnas. Uppsatsen gjordes utifrÄn en kvantitativ surveyundersökning med en InternetenkÀt. Undersökningen genomfördes bland 45 mellanchefer inom Industrial Hose, en affÀrsenhet inom Trelleborg AB. I teorikapitlet förklaras hur entreprenöriella och intraprenöriella aktiviteter gynnar företag som Àmnar vÀxa organiskt.

Globaliseringen som skett har lett till en större global konkurrens. Den globala konkurrensen har drivit mÄnga svenska företag till en internationalisering. För ett svenskt tillverkande företag som Àr utsatt för konkurrens kan det bli aktuellt att förlÀgga produktionen i ett land med lÀgre produktionskostnader. En etablering i ett nytt land innebÀr ett möte med en ny kultur och nya förutsÀttningar. För företag som vill skapa internationella relationer finns det dÀrför en hel del de behöver ta stÀllning till.

Social competence is an effective weapon at all costs on today?s market. In many job ads we can see the words to be socially competent. In our report we have studied the subject?s social competence, relations, relationship marketing and personal networks and looked to the connection these subjects have to one another.

I en allt mer globaliserad vÀrld med en ökad internationell nÀrvaro pÄ den europeiska marknaden har utlandsetableringar blivit allt vanligare och viktigare för europeiska företag. I det hÀr arbetet undersöker vi hur bankers strategier förÀndras och anpassas för att möta de utmaningar som de stöter pÄ vid utlandsetableringar, genom att studera SEB och deras köp av den tyska banken BfG 1999. Vi har undersökt hur de utmaningar banken mötte pÄ den tyska privat- och företagsmarknaden pÄverkade strategin. För att lyckas med detta studerade vi Ärsredovisningar och intervjuade nyckelpersoner inom banken. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att de största utmaningarna var den tyska fragmenterade marknaden dÀr banken mötte icke-vinstdrivande konkurrenter, en hos kunderna frÀmmande mentalitet gÀllande banktjÀnster och ett annorlunda banksystem.

Ruins and derelict places have since long fascinated and attracted humans. With my starting point in the wild vegetation and the spontaneous activities taking place on derelict land and in industrial ruins, I explore with help from the theoretical sociology, what creates not only this fascination but also fear. The purpose of the thesis is to explore and exemplify how the industrial ruin as a place outside the restrictions and control as well as design intentions of modern society can be used as an inspiration in a landscape architecture context.The modern city consists of areas and places with a well defined purpose. A piece of derelict land or a disused building is instead ambiguous, undefined and open for new purposes. However described in negative terms, these placesare often perceived as places of mystery and magic.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to study howuniversity librarians in a South African context relate to theconcept of information literacy. We investigated differencesand similarities in approaches to user education andinformation literacy. We have based our study on thefollowing research questions: What are the prerequisites foruser education at the University of the Western Cape? Howdo these prerequisites influence librarians' approaches toinformation literacy and user education at the University ofthe Western Cape? We have used a sociocultural theoreticalperspective and Hofstede's cultural dimensions in orderto pay particular attention to the cultural and social contextof user education.

Företagen sjÀlva anser att det företag som lyckas övertyga investerare om att deras produkter har störst samhÀllsnytta Àven kommer att vinna kampen om kapitalet. Trots hÄrd konkurrens om kapital och förstÄelsen över vikten av Investor Relations görs inga omfattande utvÀrderingar av arbetet. Anledningen Àr frÀmst att det tar för mycket tid och att tillvÀgagÄngssÀtten Àr diffusa.

Media has power and impact. It is therefore important for managers to be able to handle media storms when they arise. If not, the brand can be affected negatively. It is managers who should learn to handle media storms because the managers constitute an important part of the external face of the company. Based on documentation obtained through interviews a demo system was created based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication between an embedded system and an Android device.This report intends to describe the tools and methods used in the design of the demo system and the result of an analysis of the BLE communication.Bluetooth Low Energy is an exciting protocol with wide applicability within the industrial field. This project investigated the communicational possibilities between a Smartphone and a Raspberry Pi and based on the results that emerged the conclusion can be drawn that BLE is a protocol with many beneficial applications within industrial IT..

This thesis examines the power of developing countries within the World Trade Organization (WTO). The research question is if there is a change in the power relations between developing countries and developed countries from the establishment of the WTO in 1995 and until mid 2006, and if so, why this change is taking place? The thesis has its theoretical starting-point within regime theory and views it from a critical theoretical perspective. A multidimensional why of dealing with the concept of power is being used to answer if there is a change in the power relations? The conclusion is that there is a small change in the power relations and that the developing countries are gaining more, but limited power.
