The division of Electricity at Uppsala University runs a project called Lysekil project, they have designed a buoy that uses the waves to create electric power from a generator attached to the bottom of the sea.Uppsala University is closely connected with the company Seabased and the university makes use of their facilities in Lysekil. When they designed the buoy issues occurred, the geometric design was flawed, brackets with a short shelf life and it is generally uneconomic.A study visit was done in Lysekil on Seabased facility. With this visit the project started, which is to improve the design of the buoy and the attachment of wires leading to the generator. In this project we have chosen to use a beam system with three beams that are attached to the buoy. Then a wire attached to a plate that sits between the beams will be leading to the generator. Two proposals for construction are created, what distinguishes them are the brackets between the beams and the buoy.From these constructions, the design that is considered most optimal for our project is chosen.All parts of the buoy have been modeled and the drawings are designed in ProEngineer software.The two constructions are compared with each other, but the whole focus is on the second and final structure. The report begins with an introduction describing Lysekil project, and a task description of our project.The project aims to produce an optimal buoy that will be easy to design, materials restrictive with good durability and an economical solution.Wave power true function has been studied, mechanical and finite element analysis of beams, buoy and plate design.This has been presented in this report, where in the various chapters can read more about the processes. Housing construction very close to the lake Mälaren has become very popular today. One potential problem with these houses is the influence of the sea climate. Unprotected buildings are affected by strong winds and precipitation. So for that reason, it is very important to make an accurate climate investigation and use it for decision-making during the planning of the new settlement.It is very important with a good moisture protection regarding pelting rain, that is the combination of wind and rain. This is more important for buildings close to a lake, as this location normally means a higher exposure to wind.

This report is of technical character and treats how to plan a small building in Borlänge, Sweden.The technical components that have been treated in the report are the construction, foundation,installations and thermic abilities of the house. In addition to planning this house the report alsocontains a part that deepens in net zero energy buildings. AbstractManagement is a field that started getting attention in the beginning of the 20th century by Frederick Taylor. His publication is called the Principles of Scientific Management and is based on the principles of using scientific methods to find the best way of conducting each operation within a production facility. Many of Taylor?s principles may appear obsolete today but the matter of an effective material flow is still highly current. Efficiency is the relationship between the input into an operation and its result.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att studera och analysera hur möten mellan olika människor och livsstilar sker på offentliga plaster och stråk i centrala Malmö. Examensarbetet belyser begreppen offentligt rum, möten, livsstil, identitet och försöker ge svar på varför det är viktigt att människor med olika bakgrund och kultur möts, och vad det kan få för konsekvenser om möten inte sker, samt hur stadens offentliga rum kan utformas för att gynna sådana möten. Examensarbetet baseras på litteraturstudier samt egna betraktelser och iakttagelser vid besök i Malmö. Arbetet inleds med en kortfattad beskrivning om industristaden Malmös förvandlig till kunskapsstad. Därefter följer en utveckling av teorier och begrepp kring möten, livsstil och rum. Vidare följer beskrivningar och analyser av två centrala områden i Malmö; Ribersborgsstranden - Västra hamnen - Stapelbäddsparken (område A) och Stortorget - Lilla torg - Gustav Adolfs torg ? Möllevångstorget - samt stråket mellan dessa platser (område B).

Sammanfattning Syftet var att belysa den fysiska vårdmiljöns betydelse för vårdtagarens välbefinnande. Frågeställningen löd; Hur belyser litteraturen vårdtagarens upplevelse av den fysiska vårdmiljöns betydelse för välbefinnandet? Metoden var en litteraturstudie och sökning av vetenskapliga artiklar har skett på databaserna Cinahl, Academic Search Elite, Emerald, Springer Link, ADAM, BYGGDOK, Pubmed, IDEAL, Kluwer, Libris, ScienceDirect och Scirus. Sökord som används både separat och tillsammans inom samtliga databaser var health facility, environment, architecture, design, art, surroundings, ward, garden, välbefinnande/well-being, hospital, health, light, noise. Med sökmotorer har vi sökt på nämnda sökord och namn på olika forskare, samt MeSH- sökverktyg för översättning av svenska ord till engelska.

Detta examensarbetet är skrivet på magisterprogrammet för Fysisk planering vid Blekinge Tekniska Högskola och omfattar 30 högskolepoäng. Syftet med uppsatsen är att visa ett förslag för en framtida sträckning av ett system av spårbilar och stationer i Tyresö. Arbetet utgår från konkreta mål, riktlinjer och visioner som formulerats på internationell, nationell, regional och kommunal nivå gällande hållbar utveckling och transportsystem. Dessa visioner stämmer ofta dåligt överens med den faktiska utveckling vi kan se idag vilket gör det mycket intressant att hitta alternativa och kompletterande lösningar till dagens transportsystem. På global nivå efterlyser FN miljövänligare, tystare och mer användarvänliga transport- och kommunikationssystem eftersom dagens transportsektor, där bilen står i fokus, förbrukar stora mängder icke-förnybar energi, mark- och vattenresurser samt missgynnar flera grupper i samhället. Det nationella transportpolitiska målet innebär att transportpolitiken ska säkerställa en samhällsekonomiskt effektiv och långsiktigt hållbar transportförsörjning, ett mål som SIKA, Statens Institut för Kommunikationsanalys, i dagsläget bedömer vara mycket svårt att uppnå. På regional nivå menar utvecklingsplanen för stockholmsregionen, RUFS 2010, att regionen idag riskerar en tudelning som en följd av det hårt ansträngda vägnätet och efterlyser bättre kollektivtrafik. Statliga utredningar gjorda av SIKA och RUFS 2010 pekar ut en satsning på spårbilar som mycket intressant för att komma tillrätta med de högt ställda transportpolitiska målen och som komplement till dagens bilberoende transportsystem.

SAMMANFATTNING Arbetet syftar till att komma fram till ett förslag för en framtida expansion i Eksundsområdet med pendeltågstation samt en utveckling av Torps villasamhälle 6 respektive 9 kilometer väster om Norrköpings centrum. De båda områdena består i dag av fritidshusområden som delvis är under övergång mot åretruntboende samt områden av permanent bostadsbebyggelse. I arbetet ingår en inventering av förutsättningar och intressen för området och sedan en geografisk bedömning av lämpliga utvecklingsområden för eventuell exploatering. De utvecklingsområden som vuxit fram i arbetet är belägna kring Eksund-Strandhugget samt kring Torps villasamhälle. I dessa två områden har en visuell landskapsanalys gjorts, som de två planförslagen delvis bygger på. Huvuddragen och ambitionen som behärskar de båda förslagen är att nyttja ett befintligt järnvägstråk, för att skapa ett stationsnära boende i Eksundsområdet.

Examensuppsatsen syftar på att utreda hur folk uppfattar en bostadsmiljö av en viss karaktär utifrån de konstvetenskapliga områdena arkitektur och bebyggelsemönster. En undersökning genomförs där allmänheten värderar tio områden från tre olika städer. Resultatet presenteras bland annat med hjälp av polära diagram, i diagrammet bildas en värderos, vars bild illustrerar den upplevda känslan av området..

The present study examines a new production line of glue-laminated wood (glulam). The glulam is produced from non-planed boards of spruce, which also is convex, that is pressed together with high pressure during the gluing. According to a economic calculation, the material has a economical potential mainly on account of the absent planning. The study mainly found out that the shear strength of the material tolerated the demanded values in standard SS-EN 386, but the delaminating values did not. Since there are more areas to be studied around the material, the prospect to achieve the right delamination values is seen as positive..

This thesis treats Building Information Modeling, BIM, in the production stage. Brieflydescribed BIM is virtual model of a building object where all information about theobject is gathered. All the involved operators in the construction project have access tothe model and can gather or share information about the project. There are several waysto apply BIM in the production stage. The preschool constitutes a big part of many children's everyday existence. Its contents are therefore of great importance and the environment deserves a well thoughtout design. In this study, surveys in field and literature have resulted in conclusions around how plants can be used in children's play environments, in order to contribute to the experiencerelated values. The aim is to present conclusions to lean on when drawing up designproposals for new playgrounds, especially where the natural conditions are not so favorable. The first question that is responded to is how plants can be used in order to enrich the children's play environments.

The ongoing change that characterizes the landscape as a result of the development of the society as a wholeis the basis for this thesis. Even though the Scanian landscape still is dominated by arable land, other valuessuch as biological diversity, cultural heritage and economical aspects, has all been ascribed the landscape asmore and more important factors and in some respects, compete with the farming industry about the right tothe landscape. Our demand of more and more space, will of course also affect the landscape. Huge amountof land are used to build external malls and single-family houses, which gives rise to an increasing need foran extended transport system that also is land consuming.It all comes down to: how the municipalities deal with non built areas - the green structure. Do themunicipalities have separate programs describing their vision and objectives concerning the green structure?Literature studies, an inventory made of the municipality programs in the west and south west of Scaniaand interviews with employees at the municipalities clarifies the use of the green structure concept, both intheory and in practice.The green structure concept seems to be derived from the environmental debate.
