In search of Umbilicaria subglabra In Sweden Umbilicaria subglabra has its only known occurrence in Lybergsgnupens nature reserve in the county of Dalarna where it has been found only once in 1936. It was found on the east-facing rock spur, approximately 650 meters above sea-level. The lichen is now red-listed as Regionally Extinct (RE) in Sweden. The aim of this study was find U. subglabra.

Purpose/aim: The purpose is to get increased knowledge about how the communication had developed from the first contact online to the first meeting in real life and even after when it had turned into a real relationship. I also wanted to know why the eight women I interviewed experienced that the Internet is a good venue to meet and develop a real relationship at and if there existed any differences between those four women who were a bit older and those four women who were young.Material/method: When the purpose with this survey stood clear I decided to use interviews as the method to find out more about my subject. I decided to do eight interviews and I contacted eight women who all found their partners online that were willing to help me and answer my interview questions. I did six of the total eight interviews through MSN Messenger and the other two through the telephone.Main results: I found out that three of the older women had used e-mail and telephone and sometimes SMS communication to find out more about their soon to be partner and after that decided to meet the other person in real life. One of the older women and all four of the younger ones had used a Community and Instant Messenger to communicate with their soon to be partner, they also used the telephone and SMS to communicate with each other but Instant Messenger was the medium that dominated in their wish to communicate.

Bakgrund: Många företag arbetar idag i virtuella team eftersom det ger en möjlighet att samla kompetens utspridd på flera platser utan att behöva spendera tid och pengar på resor. Virtuella team ger också möjligt att arbeta med en uppgift över hela dygnet. Genom att en arbetsuppgift flyttas mellan tidszoner under dygnets timmar. Även om virtuella team har sina fördelar så finns det problem. Dessa inkluderar sämre teamsammanhållning, arbetsglädje, tillit, samarbetsbeteende, social kontroll och engagemang i att nå teamets mål.

This project report shows the work around a mockup to a three-dimensional avatar-making application. An avatar-making application is a computer-based software program in which it is possible to create your own personal virtual character. The possibility to use three-dimensional avatars can in the future be essential for adding extra personal information or characteristics to social communication over the internet or over mobile phones. The problem of transforming a physical form and reconstruct it to a virtual basis has been an important problem to solve for many companies and software developers in the, for instance, virtual worlds area. Methods and ideas over making this transformation is the key throughout this project.

In today?s society, people often find themselves in situations where they need to be identified;for example when we buy alcohol, need to use an ATM or log on to our e-mail account. The most common methods today that are used for these kinds of matters are antiquated, and inthe meantime, criminals all over the world get more sophisticated. Companies invest billions every day in order to protect their interests. Maybe it?s time that we finally give biometrics theattention that it deserves.This essay aims to describe the biometric methods that are available today, find some of the most effective when it comes to physical access and make a comparison.

Facial expressions are a part of our body language that helps us to clarify the verbal communication between humans. We use our facial expressions every day, both consciously and unconsciously, to express emotions and attitudes depending on the situation. The hypothesis of the study is: Given a facial expression, how well can Microsoft Kinect, as an input method, determine a person?s feelings with the two algorithms Naive Bayes and Sequential Minimal Optimization? The feelings are limited to happy, sad, surprised and disgusted. With the help of Kinect, a person?s facial data, both coordinates of the face and parameterized data, were saved and used for machine learning.

The aim with this study was to describe how the board members of athletic clubs view and value their youth program. A qualitative approach was used in form of interviews. The interviews were made face to face as well as being taped, this to facilitate the analysis. When the board members viewed their youth program to be in alignment with the overall club philosophy there was a discrepancy between their views and the ?de facto? conditions of the youth program.

This paper was written at the Baltic Business School in Kalmar. The purpose was to analyze and determine the importance of packaged holidays within the tourism and travel sector and how value can be created for the customer. This have been done with a focus on the chosen parts; customer needs and how packaging can create value, how companies can work to give the customer increased value through packaging, last but not least how companies segment the market and if there are specific segments that prefer packaging. We have applied the qualitative method through conducting four Face-to-face interviews and one phoneinterview. The purpose of this paper is not to generalize, but to show patterns in the chosen subject.

Syftet var att utva?rdera hur det internetbaserade sto?dsystemet COMMIT fungerade som komplement till KBT Face-to-face fo?r personer med mild till ma?ttlig a?ngest och depression. Internetportalen COMMIT med funktioner anpassade fo?r att sto?dja behandling under och mellan samtal baserades pa? kunskap och teknik fra?n internetbehandlingsforskning.Totalt 15 klienter och 8 behandlare deltog i studien och behandlingarna pa?gick i a?tta till nio veckor. Under samtalen anva?ndes surfplatta (iPad 2, Apple) fo?r a?tkomst till COMMIT och mellan samtalen anva?nde klienter och behandlare dator med internetuppkoppling.

The study focuses the evil within human beings and evil actions against other humans and the human kind. The evil is defined as evil actions such as murder and actions in war. The questions asked is whether the evil has a face and if it is possible in that case to paint that kind of face. The medieval mural paintings in old churches include Cain murdering his brother Abel based on the Bible. The study also includes reliefs, sculptures in stone describing Cains´s murder of Abel and sculptures with the Massacre of the Innocents in Bethlehem according to the Bible.

 Abstract: Facebook in the Public Sector - qualitative interviewstudy with The Swedish maritime Administration, the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, the Swedish prison and Probation services and the municipality of Katrineholm about their precense on Facebook.In my bachelor?s thesis I have studied how three government authority and one municipality uses or don?t use Facebook in their communication towards the citizens. I have chosen to study four different cases, to see if there are any significant similarities or differences between how the different services are working with their communication. I have chosen to explore my cases through semi-structured qualitative interviews, where I met communications officers of every organisation face to face.I have found out that there is not one right way to communicate through Facebook, every organisations decisions must be based on their own mission, aims and objectives. And I have seen that both the transmitter and the receiver need to mature into the new acting of this new channel - Facebook..

En ny typ av mobbning har börjat tillämpas på grund av uppkomsten av, och den allmänna tillgången till, Internet: nämligen elektroniks mobbning (Wendland refererad i Raskauskas & Stoltz, 2007). För att kunna bekämpa elektronisk mobbning är det viktigt att förstå varför Internet används vid mobbning. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att undersöka bakgrunden till varför ungdomar idag använder sig av Internet vid mobbning. De frågeställningar som ingick var: Vad finns det för orsaker till att Internet används för mobbning? Hur används Internet vid mobbning? Vilka former av mobbning förekommer via Internet? För att kunna besvara frågeställningarna genomfördes en enkätundersökning med 58 tredjeårselever vid Luleå Gymnasieby.

ABSTRACTInternet use in Sweden is among the highest in Europe. The increased availability and use of the Internet has changed people's behavior patterns. This, in turn, has made many companies choose to offer their products and services online. This means that there is less personal contact and that customer relations can be described as having gone from Face-to-face to face-to-screen. Swedish banks have come a long way in terms of adapting its operations to customers? demand in a global environment that is digitizing at a rapid pace.
