Previous studies have pointed out the potential risks involved with targeting homosexual consumers by using ads with homosexual imagery in mainstream media. Many of these studies have indicated that there may be drawbacks with exposing heterosexuals to these kinds of advertisements. The purpose of this paper is to investigate whether this is true for all groups of heterosexual consumers. An experimental study was carried out to examine the effects of explicit homosexual imagery on a heterosexual group with a generally positive attitude towards homosexuality. Empirical evidence suggests that homosexual imagery does not elicit any negative reactions among these heterosexual consumers.

This report present a working model for simulation of what happens to colors displayed on screens when they are observed through optical filters. The results of the model can be used to visually, on one screen, simulate another screen with an applied optical filter. The model can also produce CIE color difference values for the simulated screen colors. The model is data driven and requires spectral measurements for at least the screen to be simulated and the physical filters that will be used. The model is divided into three separate modules or steps where each of the modules can be easily replaced by alternative implementations or solutions.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the elderly people experience the food on a sheltered accommodation. We will examine nutrition in the food and if the elderly people have an influence on food they gets everyday. The aim of this study was to examine older persons? everyday experiences of food within the context of homes for the elderly. More specifically, nutrition and the personal experiences of influence concerning choice of food were examined.

Goal-Oriented Action Planning (GOAP) Àr en AI-arkitektur som tillÀmpar ett mÄldrivet beteende Ät agenter i spel. MÄl uppnÄs genom att planer med ÄtgÀrder genereras med hjÀlp av en sökalgoritm. Syftet med denna rapport Àr att undersöka hur tvÄ sökalgoritmer, A* och IDA*, presterar under planering i GOAP.De experimenten som anvÀnds Àr dels en miljö dÀr agenter simuleras, samt ett test dÀr planer genereras för samtliga implementerade mÄl utan rendering och simulering av agenter. Data som utvÀrderas Àr bl.a. planeringstiden, antal besökta noder under sökning och genererade planer.UtvÀrderingen visar en tydlig fördel till A*, som i snitt Àr 38 % snabbare Àn IDA* vid planering av ÄtgÀrder i GOAP.

This thesis is a qualitative study in which 12 award-winning printed adverts, awarded with either a Swedish ?GuldÀgg? or an international Clio Award, have been analyzed from a rhetorical perspective. Visual rhetorics were used to analyze the adverts in order to expose the rhetorical concepts and to find out whether the rhetorical concepts represented in the Swedish adverts are the same concepts represented in the international adverts. One of the conclusions drawn is that pathos-arguments, a rhetorical concept where the senders allude to the emotions of the receivers, are the most prominent in both Swedish and international adverts, but are used in different ways. Another conclusion drawn is that the adverts are overall characterized by their messages not being explicit.

EU har som mÄl att Är 2020 ha minskat utslÀppen av vÀxthusgaser med 20 % och ökat andelen förnyelsebar energi till 20 %. I Sverige Àr andelen fossilt brÀnsle som förbrÀnns ca 30 %. Denna studie syftar till att utreda om termokemiskt behandlade biobrÀnslen kan ersÀtta de kommersiella fossila brÀnslena. Resultatet har nÄtts med simulering i programvaran Fuelsim och insamling av experimentella data.  En simulering ska pÄvisa om syreberikning gynnar brÀnslena och experimentella data anvÀnds för att se vilka problem som finns för respektive brÀnsle.

Arbetet bygger pÄ att de informationssystem som anvÀnds idag men som blir allt Àldre och dÀrigenom inte klarar de krav som stÀlls pÄ dem. Detta medför att informationssystemen mÄste migreras till modernare plattformar, dÄ företagen dels inte klarar sig utan dess nuvarande funktionalitet och dels mÄste vidareutveckla systemen.Detta arbete tar upp olika sÀtt som detta kan genomföras pÄ och vilka problem som kan komma att uppstÄ nÀr detta sker. För att kunna undersöka detta sÄ genomfördes ett antal migrationer. SprÄken som migrationen kommer att ske mellan Àr Visual Basic 6 och Visual Basic .net. Migrationerna kommer att ske med hjÀlp av ett migrationsverktyg, samt ett ramverk som i arbetet skrÀddarsys för just arbetets typ av migrationer.Det arbetet kommer fram till Àr att det sker problem vid anvÀndande av ett verktyg och Àven att det inte ger tillrÀckligt med respons pÄ vad som gÄtt snett under migrationerna..

Tidigare studier har pÄvisat att sprÄkliga förmÄgor har ett nÀra samband med Theory of Mind (ToM). PÄ senare tid har studier med hjÀlp av ögonrörelseteknik kunnat undersöka ToMförmÄga implicit och fynden tyder pÄ att barn redan i tvÄÄrsÄldern verkar ha en vÀlutvecklad implicit ToM-förmÄga. Resultaten frÄn en av dessa studier har funnit att sprÄkutvecklingen kan spela en avgörande roll i tillÀgnandet av ToM och tyder pÄ att det kan finnas ett orsakssamband mellan sprÄk och ToM. En viktig aspekt för att nÀrmare förstÄ ToMutvecklingen Àr att undersöka vilken betydelse den sprÄkliga förmÄgan har i tillÀgnandet av ToM. Det Àr fortfarande oklart om specifika delar av sprÄket har mer betydelse för ToMutvecklingen Àn andra och hur sambandet mellan sprÄkliga förmÄgor och ToM ser ut.

Tidigare forskning har visat att implicita och explicita attityder formas och förÀndras oberoende av varandra, samt att allt fler politiker anvÀnder sig av sociala medier för att nÄ ut till sina vÀljare. Denna studie syftade till att undersöka hur deltagarnas implicita och explicita attityder, gentemot tvÄ fiktiva politiker, pÄverkas av traditionella och sociala medier. I studien anvÀndes en experimentell mellangruppsdesign dÀr deltagarna slumpmÀssigt fördelades till olika betingelser. Dessa bestod av positiva och negativa nyhetsitems frÄn dels traditionella dels sociala medier. I undersökningen, som genomfördes pÄ internet, deltog 126 personer. För att mÀta deltagarnas attitydförÀndringar anvÀndes dels ett Implicit Association Test (IAT), dels ett explicit frÄgeformulÀr.

The aim of this thesis is to examine representations of masculinity in the activities of a local professional wrestling promotion. After briefly outlining what professional wrestling is, the study draws on a body on feminist and intersectional theory which critiques the notion of gender as a binary and essential category. The material comprises 10 recorded shows and oth- er material published on Sthlm Wrestling?s website between 2010 and 2013, and is analyzed using a qualitative methodology derived from cultural studies. The thesis argues that there are many different types of masculinities in the narrative, which are constructed in relation to different power hierarchies such as ethnicity, class, sex and sexuality.

Mig veterligt finns inget samlat verk sedan tidigare om dessa, vilket gör att jag med min uppsats kan bredda runologin i det avseendet. HÀr gÄr jag igenom sexuella inskrifter, tolkningar och översÀttningar samt diskuterar skriftbruket i en tid dÄ runskriften levde sida vid sida med latinskrift. Syftet har varit att vara sÄ rakt pÄ sak som möjligt i presentationen av runinskrifterna. Materialet innefattar ett 50-tal inskrifter, vilka finns samlade i ett inskriftsregister lÀngst bak.

By content and linguistic analysis the results of this study are interconnected to the beauty myth as it was established by Naomi Wolf in 1991. The goal is to pinpoint how VeckoRevyn?s question and answer columns construct relationships to their readers, and the mythologies that they maintain.
