Det finns en brist inom leanforskningen när det gäller detta betydelsefulla område, och det gör problemet intressant och viktigt att utforska.Frågeställning och syfte: Frågeställningen som styrt denna uppsats lyder:Inom tillverkande företag som arbetar med lean som produktionssystem: Vilken mening kopplar de anställda till elimineringen av slöseri?Syftet med denna uppsats är att försöka identifiera samband och mönster, som kan leda fram till en förståelse av den mening som de anställda kopplar till elimineringen av slöseri.Metod: Utifrån grundad teori har urval gjorts och data insamlats via semi-strukturerade intervjuer och dokument.

Detta examensarbete är utfört på uppdrag av Scania IT i Södertälje och utgör sista delen av civilingenjörsprogrammet Innovation, Produktion och Logistik vid Mälardalens Högskola i Eskilstuna.Scania IT genomgår i nuläget en stor förändring i arbetssätt och struktur med målet att bli en mer flödeseffektiv IT-verksamhet. För att detta ska lyckas krävs det att Management tydligt styr verksamheten mot detta mål samt att alla involverade stöder denna verksamhetsstrategi. Syftet med omorganiseringen är att man snabbare och effektivare ska möta kundens krav. Det problem som Scania IT upplever idag är för låg leveranssäkerhet eftersom rätt funktionalitet inte levereras i rätt tid till rätt kostnad. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka hur Management inom Scania IT ska agera i en flödeseffektiv IT-verksamhet samt hur de kan skapa förutsättningar så att team kan bidra till flödeseffektivitet.

Abstract The technology has made it possible for you as a train traveller to be available in other places than stations and on the train. You now have the possibility to communicate by the phone or through the Internet to get information about the train you want to take. Development in mobile technology gives us new possibilities to communication. We want to find out whatever SMS would be a suitable approach to inform passengers about delays. The problem formulation is ?If the technology is available to inform the passengers about delays in an more effective way than today, then why not use it? The ?Kustpilen? that operates in Blekinge and Skåne is the case for our study.

This study is an attempt to investigate religious perceptions and its development, function and connection to religious practise within the Swedish extreme metal scene. This is performed mainly by a qualitative method of investigation, studying lyrical content published on a number of extreme metal albums, thereafter relating the lyrical progression to the progession of the scene as a whole and also to the development of individual religious belief and practise.The lyrically expressed manifestations of religiosity within the extreme metal scene prove to be related to religious practise in some cases, most visibly in the Christian parts of the scene.The study also indicates that development of religious expression often is evident regardless of religious preference. This development also regularly relates to an increase in musical evolution and prowess often achieved with increased age and maturity.Musically and lyrically, the extreme metal scene displays transgressive attributes which assist both individual and group in the process of creating identity, meaning and individuality.Experiencing extreme metal, in concert or in the privacy of one´s own home, can be one way of perceiving spirituality in this modern age..

Examensarbetet är utfört på Lifco Dental, som är ett distributionsföretag i Enköping undervårterminen 2013 och omfattar 30 högskolepoäng. Lifco Dentals huvudsakliga verksamhet ärlagerhantering av tandläkarartiklar och det rör sig om cirka 40 000 artiklar i varierandestorlek.Examensarbetet avser i första hand styrning av lagerhållning och artikelplacering. Abstract: The purpose of this thesis is to study the importance of having a website for traditional service companies as well as the factors that might influence its importance. This is done by answering three research questions that all contribute to the answer of the main purpose. A qualitative study has been performed including eight interviews with respondents from eight different service companies presenting four different types of businesses. The empirical findings of the study are analyzed with the help of the theoretical frame of references in order to identify the most interesting conclusions. The results of the thesis state that the main purpose of the website among the studied companies is to rationalize and save costs.

Bakgrunden till denna undersökning är den växande ASP-marknaden samt säkerhetsproblematiken som finns i en ASP-lösning.Syftet är att utreda de säkerhetsaspekter som bör beaktas vid en Application Service Provider (ASP)-lösning. Olika aspekter har samlats in dels från litteraturen och dels med hjälp av intervjuer. En uppdelning har gjorts med avseende på mål, hot och kontroll. De mål som först och främst behandlas är de som berör integritet, konfidentialitet och tillgänglighet. De hot som tas upp och som delvis är specifika för en ASP-lösning är ASP-företagets ekonomi och personal samt kommunikationskanalen mellan ASP-företag och ASP-kund.

Med utgångspunkten att ständigt förbättras och öka konkurrenskraften arbetar Alfa Laval mot Leanprinciper. Vad som dock är ett problemområde är att se över fabriken ur ett helhetsperspektiv, närfabriken är uppdelad i många avdelningar. Lösningen till detta problem är att via olika metoder ellerverktyg kunna fastställa svaren på problemen.Denna examensrapport redogör för hur metoder inom Lean produktion kan vara lösningen förproblemområdet. Forskningen är huvudsakligen byggd på en bred värdeflödesanalys som syftar till attfånga in ett företags alla aspekter ur ett helhetsperspektiv, med syftet att minska risker försuboptimering och istället optimera produktionen som helhet.För att se gränssnitt mellan informationsflödet har i denna forskning metoden swimlane utgjort enkartläggning över ett företags hela kontorsavdelning, planerings och inköps avdelningar.Resultatet av denna forskning visar att värdeflödesanals är en bra metod för att kunna identifieraslöserier, ojämnheter i produktion, brister vid tillverkningen och flaskhalsar. För att sammankopplaolika avdelningar av ett företags informationsflöde, visas i resultaten att swimlane är en bra metod försyftet..
