During the last years the need for real-time database services has increased due to the growing number of data-intensive applications needing to enforce real-time constraints. The COMponent-based Embedded real-Time database (COMET) is a real-time database developed to meet these demands. COMET is developed using the AspeCtual COmponent-based Real-time system Development (ACCORD) design method, and consists of a number of components and aspects, which can be composed into a number of different configurations depending on system demands, e.g., Quality of Service (QoS) management can be used in unpredictable environments. In embedded systems with requirementson high up-time it may not be possible to temporarily shut down the system for reconfiguration. Instead it is desirable to enable dynamic reconfiguration of the system, exchanging components during run-time.

Syfte: Syftet är att göra en studie av shop-in-shop-konceptet inom dagligvaruhandeln, och att se om konceptet påverkar positioneringen. Metod: En explorativ fallstudie, kvalitativa intervjuer och besök i butikerna ligger som grund för den empiriska datan, analysen och resultatet. Teoretiskt perspektiv: För att utforska shop-in-shop-konceptet, och analysera hur det påverkar Coop Extra har vi använt teorier om marknadsmixen och positionering med; plats, produkt, pris, påverkan och service som grundstenar. De aktuella teorierna har hämtats från vetenskapliga artiklar och litteratur inom respektive ämnesområde. Empiri: Våra studieobjekt omfattar Coop Extra Kävlinge och Coop Extra Värnhem, samt de inhyrda butikerna Ingelsta Kalkon och Nina Fisk.

In 2006, Stora Enso Skog implemented an education program in water management for harvester operators, timber purchasers, cut block planners and supervisors. The focus of the program was creating stream crossings with minimal harm to the stream and the surrounding riparian area. This main purpose of this study was to determine the difference in work procedures before and after participating in the program. The methodology consisted of field studies and interviews with harvester operators and their supervisors. The field study looked at how the streams had been crossed concerning the number of crossings, visible damage to the stream and/or the riparian area made by the machines. Biological parameters such as the width and dept of the stream and amount of large woody debris in the stream were also measured. The field result from 30 harvesting sites showed no significant difference between sites that had been harvested before or after the education program. But the harvester operators and their supervisors experienced an increased concern for watersheds after the educational program.

Homework is and has always been a part of school work. It may take a lot of time from the pupils? leisure. Despite this, you cannot find anything written about homework in the curriculum. How can this be? Is homework necessary and what is its function?The purpose of this study is to find out how a few teachers in primary school reason about homework.  What are their attitudes towards homework and what functions do they see?To get an answer to this I studied literature and research reports, and did four qualitative interviews with teachers who teach grades 1-6.The results show that all the teachers give homework to their pupils, but their opinions about homework differ.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to investigate the reasons for public libraries to have story-time today and also the reasons for story-time at the public library historically in Sweden. Why is the phenomenon of story-time still existing at public libraries today? The study is based on a questionnaire that was sent to childrens librarians in the Västra Götaland region. The material collected in this questionnaire was put together and resulted in six different categories showing the libraries purposes and thoughts of their story-time activities. The categories were: cultural heritage/tradition, joy of reading, language and imagination, library visits, storytelling and mutual experience.

Kronisk obstruktiv lungsjukdom är en sjukdom som vanligtvis orsakas av tobaksrökning. Syftet med denna integrerade litteraturöversikt var att sammanställa och beskriva omvårdnadsåtgärder för patienter med kronisk obstruktiv lungsjukdom. Tretton artiklar analyserades och tre teman framkom i resultatet som har benämnts som; Undervisning, Avslappning och Extra stöd. I resultatet framkom att undervisning och information kan minska rökning, förbättra livskvaliteten och i kombination med träning ge en förbättrad fysisk funktion. Avslappningsövningar kan ge en förbättrad livskvalitet genom bland annat minskad dyspnérelaterad oro och osäkerhet.

Avloppsreningsverket Sundet i Växjö har en rötningsanläggning som producerar biogas. Anläggningen består idag av två rötkammare och en maskin för avvattning som substratet går igenom efter rötningen. Substratet som används i rötningsprocessen är avloppsslam från Växjö. Planer finns på att utöka processen med en tredje reaktor i vilken det rötade slammet ska återrötas. Detta för att få ut mer biogas ur slammet.

This thesis was conducted at Linköping University and SAAB Aerostructures, Linköping, and focuses on the automation of flexible fixturing in machining applications. At Linköping University a project called "Koofix" is conducted with support from Strategiska stiftelsen and several manufacturing industries including SAAB Aerostructures. The purpose of this project is to develop a more cost-effective, flexible, technique for fixation of workpieces during processing and assembly.Fixtures are an important part during the machining process, especially if you process the parts with high accuracy. Today a large number of fixtures are used at SAAB and they would prefer to reduce the number of fixtures by using flexible fixtures instead. SAAB uses one fixture for each article and this result in a high fixture cost and it also takes time to design and construct a new fixture.There are several advantages with using a flexible fixture such as that you can process workpieces with different length, height and thickness in the same fixture.

SammanfattningDet finns en uppsjö av olika elavtal på marknaden, och många elbolag har valt en grön profil. Ofta erbjuds gröna alternativ, som kostar extra, för att få exempelvis vindkraft. Allt pekar dock på att kundens val inte har någon påverkan på utsläppen eller utbyggnadstakten av förnybar elproduktion, utan att detta i slutändan bestäms helt och hållet från politiskt håll.Vi har gjort en undersökning där vi ringt till kundtjänst hos några av de största elbolagen, och låtit dem motivera varför man ska välja att betala extra för ett miljövänligt alternativ. Svaren har varierat, men samtliga bolag har hävdat att man bidrar till utbyggnaden av förnybart.Enligt marknadsföringslagen är det elbolagen som har bevisbördan, men när vi konfronterat elbolagen har ingen lyckats belägga att kundens val har någon påverkan på utbyggnadstakten..

Regeneration with scarification and planting is a well known method, but the plants have a tuff period in the beginning. Decease of plants comes from pine weevils, dry weather, browsers, wrong method of scarification and wrong time for the planting. These are some courses why not every planting gets successful. The purpose with this study is to investigate witch time of planting gives the best result, spring or autumn planting and to give a answer of witch factors are the main course of deceases. The goal is to have the study to decide witch time to plant after final felling. The choices of plantings were maid from a period of three years. Spring plantings were from year 2005, 2006 and 2007 and autumn plantings were from 2004, 2005, and 2006.The purpose was to compare differences in deceases at the same spring weather.

Rapporten beskriver arbetet och resultaten av en prestandajämförelse mellan Teredo och 6to4, som används för att tunnla IPv6-trafik över publika IPv4-nätverk. Detta gjordes då ingen tidigare forskning hittats som jämför dessa tekniker ur prestandasynpunkt. Tre separata testmiljöer, en vardera för Teredo, 6to4 och 6to4 bakom NAT, sattes upp i en labbmiljö. I varje testmiljö skickades genererad trafik i åtta omgångar mellan två klienter, som samlade in testdata. Insamlad testdata bearbetades med formler för Throughput, End to End Delay, Round Trip Time och Jitter och ett medelresultat för varje räknades ut.

Time studies in dairy production are an essential tool when deciding about level of mechanisation and automatisation both in investment situation and improving efficiency in existing operations. In previous investigations such studies have been carried out during normal barn conditions during winter. Since there is a compulsory to have dairy cows grazing 3 to 5 months during summer time in Sweden time studies during this season is important to have a full picture of needed working time. During grazing season time studies was carried out at 14 dairy farms representing herd sizes from 66 to 450 dairy cows of which 6 farms with AMS. 8 farms were the same as studied during winter season.

This study was carried out at the request of the Swedish forest company Sveaskog which is an important producer of logging residues (branches and tops) intended for energy production. The company wanted to increase the average dry content to 60 percent in their delivered logging residues. At the time when this study was initiated, the dry content in the chipped logging residues originating from the Bergslagen district was at 52 percent. The aim of the study was to find out how windrows of logging residues could be arranged in order to help obtain desired properties such as increased dry content. Sveaskog had developed a system for evaluation of windrows and a standardized form was utilized to describe different properties of the windrows.

This thesis aims to identify bottlenecks in the internal communication of aSwedish public library. Specifically, it addresses the behaviour of the library staff when they seekfor work-oriented information through interaction with their colleagues. A fundamental assumptionof this study is that the information-seeking process depends on organisational culture. I have madean exploratory case study in a medium-sized Swedish public library, where relevant issues areidentified and correlated with the culture of the organisation.I have used Schein's three-level model to describe the culture of the library; this model definesculture as a set of basic assumptions and the actions of people as expressions of their culture. Datafor the study were gathered using several approaches, including interviews with the library staff andobservations of them.

Today it is common to have adult horses stabled for most of the day. This limits the horses? ability to perform some of their natural behaviors such as foraging and movement. The purpose of this review was to compare the feral horses? diurnal rhythm and time budget with stabled horses.
