The aim of this thesis is to examine Social science teachers infor-mation seeking in their professional role.The focus in this study has been on what sources the teachers use for information seeking, examine and analyze their information practices and how they state their reasons for using different in-formation sources, and finally how these teachers experience con-ditions related to information seeking and how these conditions in-fluence their information seeking.This study is based on four semi structured qualitative interviews. The empirical material from the interviews has been compared to earlier relevant research and analyzed with a theoretical frame-work, which includes conceptions from a sociocultural perspec-tive, a matrix over different kinds of information sources devel-oped by Höglund och Persson and McKenzie?s model of infor-mation practices.The results of this study are:- These teachers use both formal and informal sources and external and internal sources. Digital sources are important and these have consequently been added to Höglund och Persson?s original matrix from 1985.- Information practices tend to overlap each other, for example ac-tive seeking (more specific and prepared information seeking) and active scanning (less specific), which are the two most common information practices among the teachers.

Examensarbetet inom produktutveckling - konstruktion har utförts under perioden april till juni 2012 och omfattar 15 högskolepoäng, en högskoleingenjörsexamen. Examensarbetet skrivs för Mälardalens Högskola.Efter kontakt med projektgruppens handledare Philip Järpenby påbörjades arbetet med att kartlägga underhållet, samt utveckla ett underhållssystem för AT Modellprodukter AB i Eksjö, Småland. AT Modellprodukter AB hade då ingen koll på vilket underhåll företagets fabrik krävde. Även få verktyg användes för att öka förståelsen kring begreppet underhåll, eller för att få någon sorts styrning på underhållet i verksamheten.Med produktutveckling i åtanke har projektgruppen använt sig av diverse produktutvecklingsverktyg för att kunna presentera det underhållshjälpmedel som presenteras i den här rapporten. För att nå bästa möjliga resultat så har produktutvecklingsverktyg anpassats efter projektets behov.En stor del i examensarbetet har varit att gå in på djupet vad begreppet underhåll egentligen innebar i praktiken.

Sammanfattning Bakgrund: Att följa de basala hygienrutinerna är den viktigaste åtgärden för att förhindra uppkomst av vårdrelaterade infektioner (VRI). Vårdpersonal måste arbeta för att förbättra och upprätthålla följsamheten för att minska risken att sprida VRI eftersom det ger onödigt lidande för patienten. Det leder till förlängda vårdtider, ökade samhällskostnader samt bidrar till en förhöjd mortalitet.Syftet: Syftet med studien var att undersöka om och hur väl de basala hygienrutinerna följs vid Akademiska sjukhuset i Uppsala. För att undersöka om det fanns någon skillnad mellan avdelningarna valdes en avdelning som deltagit i projektet ?vårdrelaterade infektioner ska stoppas- VRISS? på sjukhuset samt en avdelning som valt att avstå deltagande.Metod: En kvantitativ jämförande observationsstudie valdes som metod där vårdpersonal observerades utifrån en mall angående de basala hygienrutinerna.

The aim of this work is to understand the recruitment of candidates to the local representative assembly in the municipality of Täby. The method used is qualitative interviewing, of a total of eight local politicians in Täby. The theory in which this work rest upon is based on a new-institutionalist perspective. Of great importance is the thoughts of the politicians involved in the recrution process, what do they think were the reasons that controlled the order of priority in the party list among the pool of candidates? Were there any obstacles for minorities in the politics like for example foreigners, women or young people? The study is taking it?s departure from the politicians who candidated in the election of 2002-2006 and the ones which are candidating to the election this coming autumn.In conclusion the aim is to understand the reasons that gives some of the candidates electable places to the assembly, and what the actors themselves think are the conclusive qualities that matters the most.

In a world characterized by increasing sustainability challenges, organizations are continuously facing new demands; creating new requirements of change management and incorporation of new strategic decisions. Today, organizations are responding to the emergence of new sustainability directives and regulations at a EU level, whence the latest sustainability framework CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), becomes particularly relevant. Companies are therefore facing the challenge of integrating strategic management in their navigation, preparation and maneuvering of new directives; a transition that requires new strategic decisions and adaptations. The purpose of this study is to qualitatively examine how CSRD affects organizations in terms of corporate changes, operational adaptations and strategic decisions, as well as what capabilities are essential to incorporate. The study also aims to investigate relevant challenges and opportunities associated with the new directive.

Background: Chronic pain is a condition that approximately 18% of the Swedish population suffers from. This condition affects many aspects of a person´s life and causes psychological, physiological and social suffering. Multimodal treatment is considered the most effective treatment for patients with chronic pain. Patient participation and motivation are very important to treatment. Aim: The aim of this study was to explore patients´ experience of a multimodal chronic pain treatment program regarding their experience of patient participation and interaction with the rehabilitation team.

Background: Inter-organisational ways of working have become more and more common during the last decades. In order to attain efficiency and productivity, such inter-organisational relationships need to be governed and controlled. However, studies have shown that inadequate control is one of the main reasons for why inter-organisational relationships fail. One of the means that can be used for governing and controlling a business is management control. The use of management control in inter-organisational contexts is a quite unexplored area of research at the present time, which might seem somewhat surprising considering the fact that inadequate control is a common explanation for why inter-organisational relationships fail.

In 2014-2015 a large-scale Ebola epidemic occurred in West Africa. The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency was given the order to conduct the Swedish response. The purpose of this case study was to investigate the impact on project planning of the three factors: the nature of the crisis, political initiative and developing countries. In this case study the crisis was an epidemic, and the project was initiated by the Swedish Government and conducted in two developing countries. The results were intended to contribute to developed understanding and recommendations for future project managers in similar projects.

The aim of this study is to examine the historical information about women?s libraries and book ownership during the early modern period in the work of Carl Magnus Carlander, Svenska bibliotek och ex-libris [Swedish libraries and ex-libris] (1904) and to inquire the scientific value of the information. Syftet med denna intervjustudie var att undersöka vad ett antal domare och blivande domare anser om de svårbegripliga ord som används i skrivna domskäl och domslut. Fem personer intervjuades; två fiskaler, två ordinarie domare och en pensionerad domare som fortfarande var aktiv. De fick i samband med intervjuerna även formulera om svårbegripliga meningar från autentiska domar. Forskningsansatsen var dels inspirerad av fenomenologin med avseende att beskriva intervjupersonernas upplevelser av de svåra orden på ett objektivt sätt, men också av hermeneutiken då viss tolkning görs i diskussionsdelen. Intervjupersonerna var medvetna om att vissa ord som används är svårbegripliga för allmänheten, och majoriteten av dem uppgav att de försökte undvika att använda ålderdomliga ord.

The aim of the study was to understand professionals? perceptions and experiences of adolescent stress. In the study I interested myself further if you can identify gender-specific patterns in the professional stories about young people's stress and stress related illness. Five interviews were conducted with professionals in psychiatry and social work. The thesis took its incipience in social constructionism.
