?Den ickeverbala kommunikationens betydelse - Kommunikation av kroppsligt förankrad erfarenhet? är en fallstudie med kvalitativ metod där ?Berättelsen om K? står i centrum.Det empiriska arbetet sätts in i ett filosofiskt och teoretiskt perspektiv med förankring i framför allt forskning kring lek. Flerårig erfarenhet av arbete med Expressive arts i utbildnings-, socialpedagogiska- och psykoterapeutiska sammanhang utgör studiens bakgrund. Studien svarar på följande frågeställningar:Vad kännetecknar kommunikation av kroppsligt förankrad erfarenhet i/genom användandet av expressiva estetiska uttrycksformer?Vilka former tar sig en sådan kommunikation?Hur förhåller sig denna typ av kommunikation till verbal kommunikation?Vilka konsekvenser får denna typ av kommunikation för deltagande parter? Arbetet visarAtt det är möjligt att konstruera en förståelse av sin verklighet och sig själv genom sitt handlande i kropp, rörelse, färger, lera, ljud på instrument samt inspelad musik.Att kommunikationen genom icke-verbala uttrycksformer stiger fram som språk i sig.Att denna kommunikation tar deltagarens teknik och skicklighet i sin tjänst ? samtidigt som tekniken och skickligheten utvecklas.Att samarbete, samhandling och samtal i mötet mellan Deltagare och Processledare[1] är av avgörande betydelse då utveckling av sinne och själv är en social, relationell komposition.Att ett nytt mellanmänskligt område skapas i samarbetet mellan Deltagare och Processledare genom det omedelbara, känslomässiga, intersubjektiva mötet som uppstår ? och att tolkning får stå tillbaka för arbetets sociala och kommunikativa betydelse.Att leken är central för var människa.Att slutsatserna ovan för den skull inte förminskar den verbala kommunikationens, ordens, övergripande och centrala roll i vårt vara som människor. Jag har i tidigare texter använt benämningen Processledare framför exempelvis psykoterapeut och Deltagare framför exempelvis klient..

The aims of the thesis are to describe ways to obtain information needed for teaching andlearning practical and artistic subjects at a folk high school, to look into which part the library plays in this search for information, and finally, to see what the library can do to meet the information needs existing arnong teachers and students of arts and craft.Qualitative interviews were made with four teachers, seven students and one librarian atone folk high school, providing data for the thesis. The results indicate five main ways to obtain information among the persons interviewed:through books, by their own work process, by sensuous experience, throughcommunication with other people, and by the master of the craft passing on his/herknowledge to the apprentice.In this thesis some suggestions are also given for helping the library to meet the information needs of people involved in arts and craft work..

A film can attract all kinds of emotions and moods of the audience through its audiovisual communications and cinematic expression, in which music plays a significant role in both understanding and interpretation of film content.It is interesting to explore the musical significance and the emotional aspect of the film out of a media and communications perspective and visual communications perspective because it?s a subject that belongs to the communications of scientific discipline as film is a media text which is working both as communicative and as audio-visual medium with its expressive aspects.The purpose of this bachelor?s paper is to increase and deepen the understanding of music's function and significant role in context with its reinforcing sense of visual expression in film. More specifically, it aims to explore the musical value of the expressive aspect of the media text in form of film musical Les Misérables (2012), which has been transmedialised from the novel of the same name, referring to the sound, music and song in relation to the film's visual expression.The research questions are at the core of the essay study: "how is music used to reinforce the cinematic visual expression?" and "how can music signify the narrative and highlight the emotional aspect of the film?" The theoretical framework is based on some of the key scholars assumptions such as Michel Chion (1994) and Claudia Gorbman (1987), who share the same theoretical views that the soundtrack seems powerful when it expresses its participation in a scene?s emotional moods as the music follows the scene?s rhythm, the image?s flow and contributes emotional and musical codes of emotions and expressions. According to Chion sound and image interact together to tell a story where sound enrich the image with expressive and informative values.

This study was conducted in the Master program at The Music Pedagogical Center (MPC) at The Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Korta musikresor (Short Music Journeys) is the Swedish term used for a receptive method of music therapy adapted from the tradition of The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (BMGIM) and the theory and practice of Expressive arts Therapy. The KMR method uses carefully selected short pieces of music, lasting between 2 and 5 minutes, to work on various psychological problems and life- crises. The music session is conducted in a slightly altered state of consciousness with a clear focus being established beforehand in a verbal dialogue with the psychotherapist. There is also the possibility of using artwork to process and explore the imagery after the music listening.

Title: What shall we play? -A study of the importance of genre spread in music education. The aim of this study is to examine music teachers' and music students' reflections on the importance of genre spread in music education. The study covers music education in municipal primary schools and municipal music schools/schools of arts and music. I have used both quantitative and qualitative methods in my study.

In this paper I argue that the development of innovation ideas within the financial system of scientific research might have a counterpart within the financial system of the social sciences and the arts. The ideas of innovation share a common way to evaluate science in terms of how well it can contribute to economic growth. In the past two decades a similar development can be observed within Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (RJ), one of the largest external financiers of the social sciences and the arts in Sweden. The idea of evaluating research used by the innovation ideas has grown popular within RJ, only it seems they evaluate research in terms of how well it fits into an international research community rather than how much it can contribute to economic growth as is the case within the innovation ideas. By examining the different ways of financing research that RJ has used during the last 2 decades, this paper aims to introduce a new perspective in which it is possible to understand the development within this type research funding as a part of a bigger system of development..

The purpose of this dissertation is to examine how teachers in the municipal Music schools Schools of arts (kulturskolor) estimate the quality of their teaching rooms, which factors that are significant for their opinion, and if they have experienced any tendencies of improvement in the quality of their teaching rooms. The examination is built on a questionnaire, which was sent to a number of music- and ?culture schools? in Sweden. From the answers you can read that the majority (66%) of the teachers are satisfied with their teaching rooms, even if a relatively large part (33%) seems to be unsatisfied. The single factor that are of most importance for their opinion are how much of their teaching they spend in rooms that doesn?t belong to the music- or ?culture school? and also are used for other kinds of education.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) är en kampsportsgren som blandar tekniker från diverse andrakampsporter och där utövaren växlar mellan brottning, så kallad grappling (brottning medlås), samt stående kamp. Sporten har tidigare mött på hårt motstånd och diskuterats en hel delbland annat i media, men dess popularitet har växt mycket det senaste decenniet. Många somidag väljer att börja träna kampsport väljer just MMA.Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vad MMA fyller för funktion för dess utövare. Fokusligger i att undersöka hur stor påverkan MMA har i utövarens liv och hur man kopplar ihopMMA med sin egen identitet. Detta gör vi genom att med MMA-utövares egna berättelserexemplifiera hur detta kan ta sig till uttryck.Studien genomfördes med en kvalitativ undersökningsmetod och det empiriska materialet harsamlats in genom totalt fyra individuella intervjuer.
