The main purpose of this essay is to investigate if Latvia´s pattern of trade has become more similar to the mature market economies, after Latvia´s independence 1991.Today, the intra-industry trade (IIT) dominates the trade of mature market economies. One of the pioneers of intra-industrial trade is Paul Krugman, who was the first to emphasize the importance "of scale and consumers' desire for variety" in explaining the basis for modern commerce. Customers get more variety and usually cheaper goods when the market gets bigger. I mainly use the modern trade theories to explain the trade pattern in Latvia. To measure how Latvia has developed its intra-industry trade, and thereby is approaching the mature market economies´ trade pattern, I use the Grubel-Lloyd index (GL-index).

Modeling and simulation is growing ever more important in the development of new products. This thesis describes the use of Hopsan for hydraulic modeling and its use in conjunction with Simulink with the intent of using the model in a hardware-in-the-loop setup. A sensor layer has been created in Simulink to emulate all the internal sensors in a modern forklift. The details of using legacy C-code instead of a hardware MCU for a fully simulated environment, software-in-the-loop has been outlined. There are two major routes one can follow implementing software-in-the-loop, Exporting the C-functions to CAPL via a Export layer or creating an s-function in Simulink.

Sedan skedde kontakt via telefonsamtal för att säkerställa att informationen var korrekt uppfattad. Respondenternas svar redovisas i empirikapitlet och har analyserats och bearbetats med hjälp av två teorier inom marknadsföring, nämligen marknadsföringsmix (de 4 P: na) och SWOT-analys.Resultat & slutsats:                              Resultatet visar att i nuläget är det inte lönsamt att Exportera pellets från Brasilien till Europa. Priserna för pellets på den europeiska marknaden är för låga, en höjning med cirka USD 50/ton är nödvändig för en godtagbar lönsamhet.

International trade in services has increased over the past 30 years as a result of progress in information and communication technology, increased focus on services from the manufacturing sector and the establishment of trade associations.The international market for healthcare services, also referred to as medical tourism, is growing more and more. Patients increasingly seeking treatment at other countries healthcare systems because of long queues within their own country or because it exists better prices for the same care abroad. However, this type of service Exports occurs at a limited extent in Sweden.The purpose of this study is to highlight and analyze the conditions for Swedish service companies to Export healthcare services. This, includes the challenges and opportunities that exist to expand the Exports of these services.The approach for this study has been in the form of interviews with two market actors and written responses, from the same interview guide, with three market actors. These market participants are the so-called Care companies which Export healthcare services in various counties, and the membership organization Swecare who work with Export promotion activities for its members in the Swedish healthcare sector.

I denna uppsats undersöker vi Export Processing Zones (EPZ) roll i ett lands ekonomiska utveckling, exemplifierat med Mexico. Fokus för uppsatsen är centrerat kring de bakåtriktade länkeffekter som förväntas uppstå som en effekt av ett EPZ-program. Fenomenet längs den mexikansk-amerikanska gränsen kan sägas ha flera orsaker, men grundas i tillgången på billig arbetskraft samt närhet till världens enskilt största konsumentmarknad. Uppsatsen visar på ett minskat FDI-inflöde, ökad sysselsättning, begränsad teknologiöverföring samt mest jobbspecifik kunskapsöverföring. Eftersom få lokala eller inhemska underleverantörer kontrakteras av EPZ-företagen minimeras länkbildningen.

Danmark är ett land som har en utvecklad industri inom grisproduktion, där största delen går till Export. Inom jordbrukssektorn i Danmark är det grisarna som står för det största Exportvärdet. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur denna handel kan motiveras genom studier av komparativa fördelar. För att kunna analysera grisproduktionen och dess påföljande Export, undersöks nyckelkoncepten till drivkrafter bakom handel. I detta arbete är två olika index nyttjade som jämförelse för att räkna ut de komparativa fördelarna -Balassa?s revealed comparative advantage är det index som är äldst och mest använt inom litteraturen. Det lider dock av flera brister.

Det finns idag över 40 000 registrerade små och medelstora bolag i Sverige, varav cirka 25 procent Exporterar. Värdet av all Sveriges Export uppgår till nästan hälften av Sveriges BNP, vilket innebär att Sverige är mycket beroende av sin Exportverksamhet. När ett företag ska utvidga sin verksamhet och ta sig in på utländska marknader kan man inte lita på att man kan arbeta som på hemmamarknaden längre. En Exportmarknad skiljer sig ofta åt från hemmamarknaden, och företagen behöver kunskap för att kunna utföra en lyckad Export. Tidigare forskning har uppmärksammat tre kunskapstyper som alla är kritiska för att ett företag ska kunna internationaliseras på ett lyckat sätt.

Export is a top priority for Sweden's economy but for Swedish companies it may involve uncomfortable risks of Exporting without sincere consideration. When the United Nations Security Council puts an embargo against a country, this often mean an import and Export restriction. The thought is to push undemocratic regimes into respecting human rights. When the embargo is in force, however, the parties are not able to fulfill their contractual obligations, which practically means that the agreement will be suspended. The problem is what happens when an embargo is in force for a longer period of time.

AbstractBusiness, or business decisions always involves an endangerment from the company?s aspect, but when it comes to business with foreign countries the risk profile looks quite different from the profile the company has when its doing business inside the country. Therefore, it is extremely important for an Export company or import company to carefully consider the risks that are enclosed with the deal, before he makes the decision to enter a deal. One of the most important risks a company have to considerate when doing business with foreign countries is the currency risk. A company is exposed to currency risk when either long-term or short-term changes in the exchange rate may affect the result of the company, competitive position and growth.

Increasing volatility and less political intervention from the CAP in the market price of wheat is making it more difficult than in the past for Swedish farmers to determine the price at which they should sell their wheat. In the past, the Swedish farmer-owned company Lantmännen has traditionally set a guideline price for Swedish wheat every year to which farmers could adapt, but ceased doing so last year. Therefore this study sought to identify the parameters on which the price of wheat is dependent on by using a reduced form model. The perspective adopted was that of farmers. The model proved able to identify the main factors determining the annual price fluctuations in wheat, with all variables included having an impact on the wheat price, except Export quantity in the previous year.

How affected are the sugar production in Mozambique and Tanzania by EU sugar regime? What does the EU sugar reform constitute in these countries?Using theories regarding free trade and anti-free trade, I am able to answer these questions. The aim of this paper is to study how the various sugar agreements with EU affect the sugar production in Mozambique and Tanzania. Therefore I am using a method called a most similar system design in this comparative case study. The conclusion is that the EU sugar regime is the main reason to how the sugar productions in developing countries are.

Vi har i den här studien valt att undersöka problematiken mindre och medelstora företag upplever med en indirekt marknadskontakt. Med hjälp av en kvalitativ forskningsmetod och en flerfallstudie har vi intervjuat fyra företag och på så sätt granskat hur relationerna mellan företagen ser ut med syfte att undersöka företagens möjlighet att säkerställa sin identitet i en piggybackingprocess. Vidare har vi granskat möjligheten till att uppnå ett balanserat beroendeförhållande, förutsättningarna att skapa egna kundrelationer och stärka företagets varumärke, detta för att vidare kunna ge rekommendationer för framtida samarbetens utformande.I den teoretiska referensramen har vi huvudsakligen inriktat oss på etableringsstrategin indirekt Export med inriktning på piggybacking. Vidare belyser vi internationaliseringsteorier, kundrelationer samt varumärken. Därefter har vi integrerat samtliga teorier i en teoretisk syntes som legat till grund för vår analys.

Internationaliseringen har lett till att svenska företag har ökat sitt engagemang på olika utländska marknader. Detta har skett genom en ökad Export, men även genom anskaffningar och nyetableringar utomlands. Internationalisering av företag har pågått länge men på senare tid har detta ämne växt enormt mycket. Vårt syfte med arbetet är att få en bättre förståelse om hur vårt valda fallföretag har gått tillväga med internationaliseringen. Vi vill även undersöka vilka problem och hinder företaget stötte på under internationaliseringen.

The aim of this thesis is to discuss and analyse the American cotton subsidies? effect on the world market in general and developing countries in particular. The amount of U.S. subsidies is substantial compared to most other countries, but a great deal of the effect is due to the USA?s significant share of the market.
