Background:Companies are beginning to see the world as their market; not only to seek global opportunities but also to oversee the global competition. Although most people connect globalization to export and import of goods, the globalization process also affect the businesses distinguished by service. The corporations are faced with higher demands of adaptation, which in turn leads to higher needs of skills and knowledge, which of course is very important in business such as the hotel industry. A motivated employee can perform better and furthermore has a stronger sense of belonging to the organization and might therefore be a key to future success of the company.Purpose:The main purpose of this essay is to compare the motivation strategies and reward systems chosen by the management and match this with what the employees are requesting. By doing this we can compare the different objects studied in this essay and furthermore we will be able to see which hotel that has the best match.

Both the German and the Nordic power markets are seeing dramatically changed conditions due to an ongoing process of expanding the share of renewable production in the systems. For the German part this comes from heavy subsidies which have led to an explosive development in installed capacity of photovoltaic and wind based production. After the Fukushima incident it has been decided to shut down all Germanys nuclear plants. This capacity drop is however not of the same magnitude as the increase in renewables, but will impact the stability of the power system. The Nordic power system which already has a surplus of power sees an even further increase, coming mainly from construction of new nuclear plants in Finland and a general increase in wind farms.

SyfteSyftet med denna uppsats är att ge förslag till hur regionen Kalmar/Öland kan stärka varumärkets attraktionskraft gentemot besökare. Grunden för de förslag som ges kommer baseras genom analys av följande frågeställningar:? På vilket sätt arbetar regionen med att profilera sitt varumärke mot potentiella besökare?? Vilken uppfattning finns av regionens varumärke hos potentiella besökare?MetodVi har använt oss av en kvalitativ och kvantitativ fallstudieundersökning bestående av fem intervjuer samt en enkätundersökning. Fallstudien innefattade destinationerna Kalmar och Öland. Intervjuerna gjordes med representanter från både Kalmar och Öland samt med varumärkesbyggare.

Zakrisdal and the west coast region of Karlstad was at one time a protected area where the ammunition factory AmF Zakrisdal 1941-1994 was situated. This factory manufactured explosives for the Swedish armed forces and for export. In this context it is an interesting paradox that the production of ammunition, mines and armorpiercing grenades for more than 50 years has preserved the environment surrounding the factory.The factory is now gone and the production is moved to Karlskoga. Plans are being made to build housing for 3-4000 residents and other enterprises within the area. The area now stands before yet another change, most likely the most profound to date.The inspiration for this work comes from the economic historic Jan Jörnmark.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att kartlägga de nordiska nationella destinationsorganisationernas digitala nätverk och därefter analysera hur nätverket och de olika plattformarna används för att slutligen diskutera på vilket sätt det går att generalisera ett optimalt nyttjande av nätverk för destinationskommunikation. Frågor som som använts för att undersöka detta är: Hur ser de nordiska ländernas nationella destinationsorganisationers digitala nätverk ut? Hur har nätverkssamhällets trender influerat de nordiska ländernas nationella destinations- kommunikation? Nätverk och nätverkssamhälle är den teoretiska ram som undersökningen utgått från. Närmare bestämt är det Van Dijks teorier om de trender som finns i dagens nätverkssamhället som ligger till grund för undersökningen. Med turismbranschen och deras digitala nätverk som undersökningsobjekt var det även relevant att ta hänsyn till branschförutsättningar och det som förespråkas inom strategisk kommunikation för sociala medier.

Uppsatsen ämnar undersöka om Ving, Apollo och Fritidsresor tar ett ansvar för att uppnå hållbar turism. Detta undersöks bland annat genom arrangörernas hemsidor samt att turistens perspektiv belyses i en enkätundersökning.Hållbar turism kopplas ofta samman med hållbar utveckling, Ving, Apollo och Fritidsresor definierar detta som miljö och socialt ansvar. I stora drag handlar det om att ta hänsyn till dagens behov utan att riskera framtiden för kommande generationer. Ur ett turismperspektiv innebär detta att aktörerna på resemålet måste ta hänsyn till både lokalbefolkningen och turisterna. För att en destination ska ses som hållbar måste miljömässiga, sociala samt ekonomiska faktorer finnas i åtanke.Researrangörer bistår turisterna med olika typer av arrangemang som faller under turismprodukten; transport, boende och aktiviteter.

Grief research generally demonstrates that children and teenagers who have lost a parent in suiciderisk developing severe psychological and physical morbidity, as well as social disabilities, in adultlife as a result of traumatic aspects of the death and complicated grief reactions. The youngbereaved also run a highly increased risk of developing suicidal behaviour or to commit suicidethemselves. Despite these alarming reports, the research field is poorly explored and studies thattake an interest in the long-term consequences and the subjective experiences of the bereavedyoungsters are lacking. A qualitative study using narrative methods has been carried out toexamine the experiences of four young women, who during adolescence lost a father in suicide.The study specifically focuses on the grief process, the short- and long-term consequences, and theneed for social support in relation to family, extended network and society. The study reveals thatthe women?s traumatic loss has shattered their basic assumptions about the world as a safe andmeaningful place.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med uppsatsen är att kartlägga säkerhetsansvarigas och supporterföreningarnas syn på supporterproblematiken i dagens fotbollssverige och se om där går att finna några likheter eller skillnader.Hur ser de tillfrågade på den egna klubbens problematik?Hur ser de tillfrågade på problemen med casualsupportrar?Hur ser de tillfrågade på medias inflytande på supporterproblematik?Hur ser de tillfrågade på förbundets arbete med supporterproblematik?Hur fungerar samarbete och utbyte mellan föreningarna?Metod:För att kunna besvara vår frågeställning så valde vi ut dom fem största publiklagen inom svensk fotboll nämligen Allmänna Idrottsklubben (AIK), Djurgårdens Idrottsförening (DIF), Hammarby Idrottsförening (HIF), Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Göteborg (IFK Göteborg) och Malmö Fotbollsförening (MFF). För att hjälpa oss att besvara frågorna intervjuade vi supporterordförande och säkerhetsansvarig i dessa klubbar.Resultat:Läktarkulturen och supporterkulturen har växt väldigt mycket dom senaste åren och med den har supporterproblematiken också ökat. Alla tillfrågade är kritiska till Svenska Fotbollförbundet och deras inställning till säkerheten på och utanför de allsvenska arenorna. Det hörs även kritiska röster om hur media rapporterar och hur det kan bidra till rekryteringen av s.k.

Society?s interest for environmental issues was reinforced in the 1960:s when the book by Rachel Carson, ?Silent Spring?, came out. She described a picture of a world without birds singing and this got the environmental debate going. Today, this debate has reached the corporate world since stakeholders are putting pressure on companies to show greater environmental awareness. Many companies show uncertainty when they are faced with these new market demands.

With the advance of the modern information society, the importance of reliable identity authentication has increased dramatically. Using biometrics as a means for verifying the identity of a person increases both the security and the convenience of the systems. By using yourself to verify your identity such risks as lost keys and misplaced passwords are removed and by virtue of this, convenience is also increased. The most mature and well-developed biometric technique is fingerprint recognition. Fingerprints are unique for each individual and they do not change over time, which is very desirable in this application.

Uppsatsen behandlar hur turismorganisationer på nationell och regional nivå arbetar med turismplanering och turismmarknadsföring för att skapa en bra och sanningsenlig image av Spanien och Costa del Sol i turismsammanhang. I uppsatsen tillämpas en kvalitativ metod. Analysen sker genom texttolkning efter hermeneutiska principer. Symboler tolkas även genom semiotik och metonymi. Uppsatsen beskriver hur turismplaneringen är organiserad i Spanien på nationell och regional nivå och hur dessa nivåers turismorganisationer arbetar med turismens utveckling.

The composing of new standards in the area of machinery safety is a continuous work which aims at writing standards that works as a tool for companies and enables them to control if the fundamental demands of security and health which is prescribed by law are reached. It is optional for the companies to choose if they want to use the standards. This report is written in cooperation with SIS and the study were performed within the technical committee SIS/TK 282. The report aims to investigating if the companies that choose to use standards see any economic advantages due to this work, how these advantages take form and where they originate. The main question formulation is how the profitability among companies that have adjusted their production to machinery safety standards are affected. The study was performed with an initial literature study which aimed at obtaining knowledge and an overview over the subject as well as investigate what former studies had resulted in.

Live-weight at different ages for Swedish Holsteins (SLB) and for the Swedish Red and White Breed (SRB), and the correlation to heart girth and height at withers. The aim of this investigation was to study the live-weight changes and mature weight for the Swedish Red and White Breed (SRB) and for Swedish Holsteins (SLB), and to estimate the correlations between body weight and body measurements such as heart girth and height at withers, respectively. The material used was from one of the experimental dairy herds (Jälla) of the Swedish University of Agricultural Science. It included recordings on 293 dairy cows with information from 7142 weight occasions and recordings on 275 dairy cows with information of 557 heart girth measurements and 560 measurements of height at withers. The registrations were done during 1993-2002. There was a large variation in live weight between cows in different ages and lactation stages.

Wound care of the horse?s distal part of the leg is challenging. Due to that distal limb wounds are easily enlarged, infected and generally heal slower than wounds on the body of the horse, the need for improved wound nursing arise. One way of improving wound nursing is to evaluate new ways of healing treatment. In this study, evaluation was made of a new product consisting of lactic acid bacteria and honey.

Skånes potatisodlarförening är en ideell förening som arbetar för dess medlemmar som består av potatisodlare i södra Sverige. Föreningen arbetar aktivt med att skapa en god ekonomi i odlingen bland dess medlemmar och för att stärka potatisens roll som livsmedel. Föreningen består av ca 150 medlemmar varav ca 120 är aktiva. Styrelsen i föreningen har beslutat att genomföra en undersökning om vad medlemmarna vill att föreningen ska jobba med och satsa på, om stadgarna i föreningen följs m.m. Målet med arbetet är att få fram ett beslutsunderlag för framtida arbete inom föreningen genom en undersökning bland dess medlemmar.
