This essay conducts a descriptive analysis of the ideas expressed by NATO´s official security strategy "Strategic Concept" from 2010 and the European Union?s security strategy "A Secure Europe in a Better World" from 2003. The purpose of this analysis is to examine whether the ESDP and NATO are compatible with each other when it comes to the role of security policy actor. To do so, I´ve chosen to analyse the actors' security strategies based on three dimensions. These dimensions are: Their view of the international scene, their views on cooperation and their views on how to reach security.

The Master Thesis has been carried out in cooperation with Silva Sweden AB and the objective was to develop a new product concept within the product category for everyday exercise. The purpose of the thesis was to use and analyze methods and tools which aid creativity and concept creation in order to make method recommendations for future projects.During the thesis a number of customer needs were identified, which in turn were translated into 20 concepts. On a concept decision meeting a pedometer-based concept was chosen for development. The new pedometer is in addition to counting steps also able to measure and calculate the user?s total climbed height during a day and present this graphically in comparison to famous monuments or distances.

Starting from this discussion, the thesis is aming to investigateand discuss the function of Abraham in Paul's argument in Romans 4. This study ismeant to support Svenska Bostäder in their planning of new buildings byanalyze and compare the different frameworks and building shells of passivehouses.In the first chapters (1,2 and 3) we presents the conditions for passive housesand the differing objects we have examined more generally for the reader tobecome familiar with the concept and the objects.The subsequent chapter presents an analysis of each object partial based on thespecifications from FEBY and finally, in Chapter 5, you will find a table ofvalues where the objects are put into relation to each other and valued there by,together with a brief explanation for the table.This chapter also contains texts on the environment, design and futuredevelopment which all includes our own thoughts and reflections.Finally, the gist of the whole work and our conclusion is presented anddiscussed.On the whole, the work has been very enlightening for us and we hope that theconcept of passive houses have a wider impact in the future..

This thesis is a qualitative study in which 12 award-winning printed adverts, awarded with either a Swedish ?Guldägg? or an international Clio Award, have been analyzed from a rhetorical perspective. Visual rhetorics were used to analyze the adverts in order to expose the rhetorical concepts and to find out whether the rhetorical concepts represented in the Swedish adverts are the same concepts represented in the international adverts. One of the conclusions drawn is that pathos-arguments, a rhetorical concept where the senders allude to the emotions of the receivers, are the most prominent in both Swedish and international adverts, but are used in different ways. Another conclusion drawn is that the adverts are overall characterized by their messages not being explicit.

The amount of information stored on the internet grows daily and naturally the requirements on the systems used to search for and analyse information increases. As a part in meeting the raised requirements this study investigates if it is possible for a automatised text analysis system to distinguish certain groups and categories of words in a text, and more specifically investigate if it is possible to distinguish words with a high information value from words with a low information value. This is important to enable optimizations of systems for global surveillance and information retrieval. The study is carried out using word spaces, which are often used in text analysis to model language. The distributional character of certain categories of words is examined by studying the intrinsic dimensionality of the space, locally around different words.

Användningen av mobila enheter, det vill säga smarta mobiltelefoner och surfplattor ökar ständigt och det nya mediet ställer helt nya krav på användbarhet och användarvänlighet. Vi tror att personer med funktionsnedsättning glöms bort i de nya smarta enheterna och att tillgängligheten i dessa enheter inte prioriteras och utvecklas tillräckligt bra.Syftet med denna C-uppsats i informatik är att undersöka på vilket sätt röststyrning och text-till-tal i mobila enheter påverkar användbarheten, främst för personer med läs- och skrivsvårigheter men även generellt sett för alla typer av användare, och att belysa vilka problem och begränsningar som upplevs vid utveckling av röststyrningsapplikationer.För att undersöka detta utvecklade vi en applikation till Android-enheter som använde både röststyrning och text-till-tal-funktioner. Denna applikation gjorde vi sedan tester på för att besvara vår frågeställning och vårt syfte.Vi fann att utvecklingen av en ständigt lyssnande applikation var svårare än vad vi först trodde och att utveckling för Android inte hade stöd för ljudigenkänning. Den röststyrning som fanns som stöd var en serverbaserad ord-igenkännare som försökte tolka ljudinmatningen till ett eller flera ord. Med lite brytning eller dialekt var risken för feltolkning stor.Vår slutsats blev att röststyrning och text-till-tal till viss grad ökar användbarheten för personer med läs- och skrivsvårigheter.
