Hur läroböcker är utformade och vilket innehåll de har är inte en slump, utan ett resultat av åratal av forskning och ett samhälle i konstant förändring. Idag tar vi det som en självklarhet att ett stort kapitel i biologiundervisningen, såväl på högstadiet som i gymnasiet, tas upp av Evolutionen, det vill säga läran om livets utveckling. Så har det inte alltid varit.Denna undersökning ämnar till att se om det finns ett samband mellan sekulariseringen av skolan och hur ämnet Evolution har formats i biologiläroböckerna för högstadiet och gymnasiet. En textanalys har gjorts av 20 läroböcker från olika stadier och tidsperioder, resultaten har sammanställts och diskuterats.Sammanfattningsvis kan konstateras att biologiböckernas innehåll har förändrats i takt med dels sekulariseringen av den svenska skolan och dels olika skolreformer som gjorts under 1900-talet. Till detta kan vi addera de framsteg som naturvetenskapen gjort från andra halvan av 1800-talet fram till idag.

Diversiteten bland gener som ger resistens (R) mot infektionssjukdomar är mycket stor i växtriket, särskilt i den effektorutlösta klassen av försvaret. Denna artikel beskriver interaktioner mellan växters effektorutlösta fösvar och patogeners effektorproteiner och undersöker Evolutionära och genetiska mekanismer för uppkomsten av ny resistens. R-genprodukter har en typisk domänstruktur och interagerar både direkt och indirekt med patogeners effektorproteiner.Vid kontakt med ett effektorprotein utlöses en försvarsrespons som kan förhindra fortsatt patogen tillväxt. Flera genetiska mekanismer verkar samtidigt på R-gener, något som resulterar i en hög hastighet för uppkomst av nya R-varianter. Den intima samEvolution som existerar hos många patogen-växtsystem formar det Evolutionära utvecklingsmönstret av R-gener.

The aim of this study has been to discuss ideas of knowledge within classification theory and subject analysis in the light of theories of fundamental changes in the production of scientific knowledge. Guiding questions have been: How have the conditions of knowledge production changed? How has interdisciplinarity as part of this development evolved? What assumptions lie behind theories of classification and subject analysis? How do these stand in relation to the alleged changes in the production and understanding of science? Three works about the changing conditions for knowledge production and the growth of crossdisciplinarity have been presented and discussed. These works stress the loosening up of boundaries between traditional knowledge domains and open up for discussions about how to organize knowledge production in the light of these changes. In the study it is argued that their works also could open up for discussions about the way knowledge is organized for retrieval purposes.

The purpose of the paper is through a touristic view to see how the zoos have developed to modern zoss and interview Djurens Rätt and Skansen to see their view on "animal welfare". Another part of the paper is to see what the public thinks of animal welfare and if it's crucial when they choose a destination. We used a survey to see if the public has been influenced by any media in the aspect of their view of zoos. By seeing the Evolution of zoos to the modern zoo, we can see how society had the power to influence. .

ABSTRACT This study consists of a comparison between a public and a private organization that works with people with mental unhealth. The first organization is an authority that conducts investigations to determine if their clients are qualified to receive some sort of help in their daily lives as a part of the Swedish welfare system. The private organization works with offering different kinds of daily activities for people with mental unhealth as a work-training program or to help them create a daily routine in their lives. Our purpose with this paper is to compare the work of the two different organizations based on their organizational framework to see what similarities and differences there are in their work and their chosen approach in meetings with their clients. Our chosen method is that of semi-structured qualitative interviews with three different employees in each organization.

Furthermore, I am anxious to widen the perspectives of that which theoretically can be considered substantially real, and the existential consequences that follows on such a study. In doing so I must make sure that it´s properly anchored in history of both philosophy and religion, and of course ? with the general idea of God.

The purpose of our report was to analyze the effects of youth drug abuse on the families concerned. Youth drug abuse made us wonder about the effects on the family as a whole, of those involved with drug abuse. To answer this question, we decided to employ an empiric study in the form of interviews with four teenagers, five parents and four drug counselors. Because our intent was to understand rather than try to measure the problems involved, we decided on a qualitative method. Our method built upon semi-structured interviews using open questions, where the interviewees were free to express their own thoughts and opinions.

Denna uppsats argumenterar för tesen att moraliskt tänkande är en irrationell produkt av Evolutionen och att detta underminerar värderealismen. Den argumenterar för att värdeomdömen i praktiken inte bygger på rationella övervägningar utan på känslor och att vi har fått dessa av naturen. Syfte: Syftet med detta examensarbete är att kartlägga förkunskaperna i områdena fotosyntes, biologisk mångfald, växthusgaser, energi och hållbar utveckling, samt Evolution och naturligt urval hos gymnasieelever som läser ämnet Biologi 1 på det naturvetenskapliga programmet på en gymnasieskola i västra Götaland. Syftet är också att utvärdera betydelsen av diagnostiska test för dessa elever och deras lärare. Avsikten är även att presentera möjliga förslag till att utnyttja resultaten av dessa test för att på bästa sätt kunna hjälpa de elever som har svårigheter i eller ligger i riskzonen för att ha svårigheter i dessa kunskapsområden i Biologi. Metod och genomförande: Undersökningen har dels genomförts med en diagnostisk test, dels genom intervjuer av tre lärare på gymnasieskolan. Eleverna har även fått två analysfrågor som berörde deras uppfattningar om användandet av denna test inom ämnet Biologi. Resultat: Resultatet visar att eleverna har bristande förkunskaper inom områdena fotosyntes och betydelse av växthusgaser. Både elever och intervjuade lärare är positivt inställda till diagnostisk test i Biologi.

The business potential of software defined radio (SDR) technology is studied by evaluating whether or not its characteristics correspond to those particular to a disruptive technology. The maturity of the SDR technology concept is illuminated by analyzing the opinions and perspectives of a selection of representatives for different stakeholders in the wireless communications market. Characteristics as, for example, the degree of consensus about the utility of SDR technology and the awareness of features and limitations are studied by application of the theory of technological frames. This theory helps us understand how and when technology Evolution takes place. Finally we describe the value network structures of some potentially viable application areas for SDR and suggest some possible business opportunities based on SDR technology.This thesis is carried out as a case study and the research data is obtained from secondary sources, such as literature and Internet publications as well as interviews with people well experienced in the field of wireless communications.

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to see how public libraries have adopted the new e-book readers and how the libraries think the e-readers will affect them in the future. There are three different theories in this study which are used to see how the e-book reader influences the libraries as an innovation and as a remediation from the paper book as well as its Evolution. The authors have used four qualitative interviews where they have tried to find the most relevant librarians for the purpose. It was found that all the libraries in the study think that they need to learn about the e-reader and its functions to be able to understand users? needs, but they haven´t agreed if they should have the e-reader as a library loan.
