The progress in the field of technology is often described as massive and its development has had a great impact on the social development (Vetenskapsrådet, 2012). As a result of the digital Evolution, there has been a change in the way customer and company interact (Normann, 2011). The traditional way for players to interact with each other required an interaction human to human (ibid), a mode of interaction that now can be replaced or supplemented by todays technology and often Internet-based solutions (Salomonson et al., 2013). These technological solutions, the technical interaction, are often referred to as self-service systems. These systems enables the customer to carry out the tasks previously performed by the company (Hilton and Hughes, 2013).

Abandoned and unused railway structures often possess great potential if they are reclaimed and reused for new purposes. The thesis focuses on the global trend of restoring and revitalizing these areas, converting them into park areas, rail trails and green corridors in the city landscape, while preserving their ecological, social, esthetic and historic values. These rail areas were often abandoned when industries moved out from the cities, either to industrial areas or abroad. The use of railways for transporting industrial goods was also replaced to a large extent my motorized road vehicles in the mid 20th century, leaving the rails under-utilized. Because of their location and intrinsic values, they can be reused for important functions, such as green areas in the city environment, providing space for recreational activities and exercise and social meetings and interactions. I have closely investigated the three park areas High Line in New York, Promenade Plantée in Paris and Schöneberger Südgelände in Berlin, which have all gone through this transformation in recent years. I have summarized my conclusions in three key concepts to consider: design for social values, preserve the architectural history, and leave room for future Evolution. The final part of my work is a design program for an abandoned railways area in Stockholm: Eriksdal railway area.

Många skolor inför allt mer undervisningshjälpmedel baserade på informationsteknik trots att det finns mycket få empiriska resultat för vilka effekter datorer har i undervisningen. Istället präglas argument för 1-1 ? att ge en dator till varje elev ? ofta av vad skolpolitiker hoppas att datorerna ska bidra med. Det finns många fördelar med 1-1, men utan kunskap om hur man arbetar med datorer finns risken för negativa effekter på undervisningen. Den här uppsatsen huvudsyfte är att undersöka om, och i så fall hur, svenskundervisningen har förändrats sedan införandet av 1-1.

This paper analyzes the Swedish labor market during the interwar and early postwar period within the framework of modern labor market theory. The development of unemployment during this period - according to the commonly cited source of labor union reports - represents a conundrum for research. The unemployment rate rose after the initial diverse shock of 1921 and stayed at a permanently higher level for the rest of the interwar period. This development was reversed after World War Two when the unemployment rate decreased and stayed permanently low for the rest of the postwar period until the oil price chock of the 1970s.In a first step the available sources of unemployment statistics is investigated and compared. The general conclusion is that the labor union reports overestimate the level of economy wide unemployment while being a reasonably good indicator of movements in the rate.

Previously studies have shown that the way companies explain outcome in their annual report is not totally trustworthy. Studies show that the management has a self serving bias when they explain the result to give a positive image of the company. Our study is based on investigations into this phenomenon in the telecom market in Sweden. Turbulent market conditions with, among other, deregulation of the monopoly of fixed telephony and a huge technical Evolution, which has led to an increase in competition, is the reason to why we have chosen to study the telecom market in Sweden. As a benchmark in our study the attribution theory will be used.

Sammanfattning Syftet med examensarbetet är att undersöka skillnaderna mellan en fysisk och en on-line konferens för att se om de kompletterar varandra eller kan ersätta varandra. Uppsatsen är baserad på The Conference ? en mediakonferens av Media Evolution i Malmö. För att uppnå syftet ställdes en huvudfråga och två underfrågor: Är det fysiska mötet på The Conference och on-line mötet på internet kompletterande eller ersätter de varandra?? Underfrågorna är: Vad vill arrangören att deltagaren ska få ut av The Conference på plats ? i förhållande till en konferens on-line? Hur används sociala medier för att knyta ihop on-line och fysiska möten för The Conference? Det teoretiska ramverket för uppsatsen består av teorier och artiklar om interaktion fysiskt och on-line.

BackgroundPolitics in some ways has always been about communication and marketing. In Sweden some people believe that communication and meaningful relations with the voters are of no value, instead it is the political content that is of importance. Media Evolution has changed the conditions of political marketing; this has meant that the choices of the right communication channels in political marketing have become more important today than ever. Political competition in Sweden has become more even in recent years, this has called for political communication and marketing to be more planed and well thought out. Political parties have therefore begun to spend millions on marketing themselves.

AbstractAttitudes towards the reference situation and the meetings between library users and librarians have become the subject of much debate in the library setting today. The aim of this two years master´s thesis has been to examine six librarian?s attitudes and apprehensions concerning the interactions between the librarian and the users in the library setting. We were also interested in knowing how a library can work to become more service oriented and customer centred. We conducted six interviews with librarians located at three different libraries in Sweden.

This Master Thesis covers the concept of Green Cars. The background to the research area is the high and rapidly growing number of cars, which together with other factors ad to the pollution of the environment. Under the Kyoto agreement the signing members agreed to lower the emissions of green house gases, further on the EU has a 3-pillar strategy on carbon dioxide and cars. Included in the EU strategy is a voluntary commitment from the car industry to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from new cars. The easiest way of lowering the emissions is by using alternative fuels and engines.

Det här arbetet är en undersökning om hur religion och vetenskap behandlas i biologiundervisningen inom de frivilliga skolformerna med inriktning mot gymnasiet. I undersökningen används kreationism och biologism som exempel på förhållandet mellan religion och vetenskap. Arbetet börjar med en litteraturstudie som förklarar vad kreationism och biologism är, samt vad skolans styrdokument säger om dessa begrepp i biologiundervisningen. I den andra delen redovisas en enkätundersökning om hur biologilärare från sju olika skolor i Östergötlands län ser på Evolution, kreationism och biologism samt på kreationismens och biologismens roll i undervisningen. Kreationism är en antiEvolutionsteori som grundar sig på att en ?kapare? har skapat jorden och allt liv på den.

ABSTRACTThe fauna of the Lower Cambrian is far from fully understood, as is the environment of that epoch. Some of the most crucial moments in the history of Evolution takes place during this epoch; the Cambrian explosion and the appearance of ecosystems as we know them. That makes it an important period to investigate. Doing so, the Lower Cambrian offers a lot of problems, one of which is that body fossils are seldom preserved. That has often left us with trace fossils to create an image of the Lower Cambrian life, but also some bedrock features such as ripple marks.The main purpose of this work has been to investigate the possibilities of relating the wave lengths and forms of recent wave-generated ripples to fossil ones, and also to evaluate the methods for that kind of comparison.

Agricultural soils constitute the base in human food production and soil content of organic matter and plant nutrients together with soil microbial activity are all important parameters for high crop yield of good quality. These parameters are dependant on proper fertilization.Anaerobic digestion of organic wastes for biogas production generates a liquid residue called biogas residue (BR). It contains organic material and plant nutrients which makes ita potential fertilizer for arable cropping. However, it also contains heavy metals and toxic organic compounds and it is therefore in need of evaluation before usage.Microbial tests were performed aiming to evaluate the agronomic traits of four different BR and to find a viable procedure for evaluating slurry fertilizers. Two experiments where soil respiration and soil potential denitrification activity (PDA) was measured at fertilizer addition were performed.

Vi har valt att inrikta oss på ekonomisystemet i företag under tillväxt. Dagens företag måste enligt lagar och regler genomföra en mängd administrativa uppgifter. En del av detta arbete omfattas av det så kallade ekonomisystemet där redovisning, budgetering och kalkylering ingår. Vi har med denna studie inte för avsikt att undersöka ekonomisystemet i allmänhet, utan vårt intresse väcktes till den förändring vilken sker under tillväxt. Det blir under tillväxt svårare för företag att arbeta med sitt ekonomiska system, då företaget behöver gå igenom olika tillväxtfaser där organisationen förändras.
