Vid framstÀllningen av papper för tryckindustrin som anvÀnder rullat papper anvÀnds olika typer av kartonghylsor. Hylsans uppgift Àr att bÀra papperet frÄn pappersbruket till kunden. Vidare Àr det hylsan som ligger till grund för att papperet skall vara körbart och rullbart i tryckpressen. PÄ bruken och tryckerierna utsÀtts hylsorna för stora pÄfrestningar vilket gör att hylskvaliteten Àr av största vikt. I detta examensarbete har ett antal hylskvaliteter avsedda för pappersindustrin utretts.

Detta arbete undersöker tvÄ tekniker för att evaluera spelplanen i minimaxalgoritmen. Den tekniken som fokuseras mest pÄ i arbetet Àr ett artificiellt neuralt nÀtverk som evolveras med hjÀlp av samevolution. Tekniken Àr utformad för att inte behöva nÄgon tidigare mÀnsklig expertis. Den andra tekniken anvÀnder heuristiker och mÀnsklig expertis för att fÄ fram evalueringsfunktionen. Spelet som anvÀnds för att testa teknikerna Àr Kinaschack.Resultaten antyder att tekniken i fokus inte fungerar till spelet Kinaschack.

A numerical simulation case involving space plasma and the evolution of instabilities that generates very fast electrons, i.e. approximately at half of the speed of light, is used as a test bed for scientific visualisation techniques. A visualisation system was developed to provide interactive real-time animation and visualisation of the simulation results. The work focuses on two themes and the integration of them. The first theme is the storage and management of the large data sets produced.

AbstractWeÂŽre surrounded by music in many different ways. Sometimes we choose the music ourselves and sometimes it?s just there. The purpose of my thesis is to illustrate the students apprehension and understanding of the teaching of music in school. Moreover, my own interest in this subject and its influence during my school years motivated me in researching my thesis.

As students of graphic design the craft of print is close to our hearts. One of the most essential mediums of the evolution of printing techniques is the poster. In a world where digital mediums are being utilized to a greater degree everyday, our love for the printed poster makes us wonder if the days of the poster are counted.What we did was to take a closer look at the role of the poster in promoting events. We focused on the Stockholm area and did qualitative interviews with three different event promoters. Live Nation which is an international live entertainment promoter, Dramaten which is one of Sweden?s most well respected theaters and Stockholm Live which is a stand up comedy promoter in Stockholm city.From doing this we learned that economics play an important part in defining the role of the poster.

This thesis is concerned with how identity is connected to historical writings and what normsshapes the perspectives of history. The purpose of this study is to investigate the possibilitiesfor identification offered in history books used for history teaching. This study is concernedwith what role the nation plays and how it shapes the conception of history, with the hope ofcounteracting negative attitudes towards those not being identified as ?Swedish? in the historytelling.The study was conducted through discourse analysis. The material for this analysis consistedof three history books directed towards 4-6th graders.The study shows how identity is created through putting ?us? against ?them?.

The aim of this bachelorŽs thesis ist to analyze the idea progress in the party programs in the swedish Centre-party during the time 1910-1959. The progress in the party program is compared with the evolution of society during the same period.The bachelorŽs aim is also to analyze how each new program is described in newspapers, two newspapers were chosen to make the comparison; Arbetet (a social-democratic newspaper), and SkÄnska Dagbladet (a centre-party newspaper). The result shows that the party in the beginning was conservative and against both capitalism and socialism. The start of the party was a reaction against the new electionsystem which was introduced in Sweden in 1909.The party took a clear standpoint for the Swedish farmers, but after 1933, they were standing for the whole countryside. In the 1940Žs and the 1950Žs the party became more like a social liberal party rather than an agrarian party only for the farmers.The party programs are not given much space in the two newspapers.

Denna rapport behandlar push-teknik, en teknik för att skicka data i realtid inom webbapplikationer.MÄnga gÄnger i dagens mer interaktiva webb kan ett behov finnas av att behandla data pÄ ett alternativt sÀtt. PÄ grund av detta kÀndes det valda Àmnet relevant inom ramen för webbutveckling.Syftet Àr att undersöka hur vida denna teknik skiljer sig mot andra tekniker för att transportera data. För att kunna undersöka push-tekniken har en applikation skapats med hjÀlp av ett ramverk för detta ÀndamÄl. Som ramverk för arbetet valdes APE som innehÄller en komplett lösning för push-teknik pÄ webben.Som underlag för rapporten utvecklades en spelapplikation samt en utvÀrdering av ramverket APE och ett antal prestandatester gjordes..

Det huvudsakliga mÄlet var att skapa ett python-bibliotek som fungerar som ett interface till Visual TeMIP. Visual TeMIP Àr ett C++-API som anvÀnds till att utveckla applikationer och moduler för alarmhanteringssystemet OpenView TeMIP. Ett sekundÀrt mÄl var att skapa en lÀttvikts-webbserver och en webbklient för de mindre kunder som inte har behov av den fullfjÀdrade TeMIP-klienten. Webbservern skrevs helt i Python och anvÀnde sig av PyMIPbiblioteket, webbklienten skrev i DHTML och AJAX. En ASCII-baserad larmlista skriven i Python gjordes ocksÄ för att anvÀndas av utvecklare och tekniker, samt för att testa funktionaliteten i PyMIP.

The failure of Structural Adjustment Programs and its neoliberal policies to effectively reduce poverty have led to the creation of Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP) by The World Bank and International Monetary Fund. PRSP, connected to both the Comprehensive Development Strategy and the HIPC initiative, are built on the notion of national ownership and stakeholder participation and thereby expand potential conditionality to include matters of governance. This thesis examines the evolution of PRSP and how the process of participation affects national governance structures. By analyzing the role of rules and norms within the World Bank and IMF from a historical point of view the thesis explains why the participation process has developed the way it has. It concludes that neoliberal norms, still at heart within the World Bank and IMF, have an impact on the process of participation within nation states and thereby its governance structure.

Examensarbetet bestĂ„r i en utbyggnad av sökaplikationen för RON som Miljö och byggnadskontoret i PiteĂ„ kommun utvecklat. RON Ă€r en förkortining för Rekreations- och Naturdatabas, databasen anvĂ€nds bl.a. som besluts underlag vid tillstĂ„ndsprövning. Även lĂ€nsstyrelsen och skogsvĂ„rdsstyrelsen samlar naturinformation i egna databaser som kommunen Ă€r intresserad av. För utsökning ur RON anvĂ€nds en Visual Basic applikation med MapObjects som kartfönster.

In this project we have used the theory of analytical mechanics to derive equations of motion for complex mechanical systems in order to study their behaviour over time. Even if the theory provides powerful tools to tackle tough problems which would be very hard to solve by methods of Newtonian mechanics, you are still relatively limited without running any computer simulations. One realises that in a faster rate it will be an incredibly difficult task to find an analytical solution when the degrees of freedom increases. Even if one would succeed to derive the equations, one still has to solve them to get the information of the systems behavior. Of experience one knows that the equations in general are nonlinear and hence must be integrated numericaly.

This essay is dealing with the difficulties of cataloging and classifying anonymi and other kinds of literature without the components which have set the norm for bibliographic cataloging, i.e. a defined author, a standardized title etc. A typical example of this kind of literature is folklore and folktales, which are dealt with thoroughly here. The character of and the society's historical view upon the folk literature, as literature considered, are being described, as is the evolution of rules for cataloging in general. The folk literature is mostly systematized after a different pattern from other literature, since bibliographical facts are often missing.

Denna rapport dokumenterar arbetet med att utreda hur C# och Pitch RTI fungerar tillsammans, och vilka prestandaeffekter som resulterar av denna koppling. Motiveringen kommer frÄn att kunder till företaget Pitch har efterfrÄgat stöd för C# som programmeringssprÄk nÀr de anvÀnder Pitch RTI. Metoden gick ut pÄ att successivt lÀra sig anvÀnda de tekniker som finns tillgÀngliga, för att sedan implementera lösningar pÄ hur kopplingen ska ske. Resultaten visar hur övergÄngen gÄr till och prestandan som uppnÄddes med hjÀlp av indexnotation. Tekniken IKVM hade högre prestandaindex och gick snabbare att komma igÄng med jÀmfört med tekniken C++/CLI.
