The aim with this study is to prepare for a larger study, by gathering information about hunting enrichment, discuss which enrichment Parken Zoo in Eskilstuna have that are suitable to use in the larger study and report which observation methods that are used in other articles. In the larger study, the focus will lie on evaluation methods and measurable results. They have, during several years at Parken Zoo in Eskilstuna, developed different types of hunting enrichments for their carnivores, because hunting is a natural behavior that is hard to accommodate in captivity. The bigger project will integrate other zoos so that they can do a study on a larger group of animals, and because a lot of other studies in the same field only capture the results of few individuals. In the year of 2006 I moved to South Africa for a year, a land that has fascinated me because of its history. During the time of my stay I became very surprised how strongly apartheid permeates the community where the white South Africans today are building walls around themselves. Through media we get surrounded with pictures that media creates and to find information regarding what?s happening in the world this is, most often, the primary source. Therefore I believe it?s interesting to explore how two different local newspapers from the county of Kalmar, with two different ideologies, present pictures of the same event, namely the revolt of Soweto in 1976 and how these two newspapers relates to racial policies.

This Master thesis is about how to involve young people in a creative process. The aim is to see what methods can be applied to make them reach the kind of knowledge they need to be able to contribute to the creation of a memorial place. Issues such as if a place that displays death has a right to exist in an urban environment or why young people should be involved in the creative process are brought up and discussed in this thesis.The memorial place that the young people contribute to is unique, in some sense, due to it not commemorating any special event or person. The purpose of the memorial is rather to serve the public when larger catastrophes occur or to serve individuals who do not have a grave they can visit to commemorate their loved ones. The idea is to place the memorial in an urban setting in the city of Borås.In this thesis the process that the young people participate in is reported in a form similar to a diary where the reader can follow the developments of the young participants, from how they gain knowledge to how they develop their ideas.

Denna uppsats handlar om Hallandspostens och Skånska Dagbladets nedskrivna redaktionella policyer för nyhetsjournalistiken. Uppsatsen tar sin utgångspunkt i tre grundfrågor. Vad innehåller policyerna och varför existerar de? Vilken relation till policyerna finns hos chefredaktörer, redaktions- och nyhetschefer samt journalister? Hur väl följer tidningarna sina policyer? Dessa frågor besvarades genom att policydokumenten noggrant analyserades samt att samtalsintervjuer med medarbetarna genomfördes. En kvantitativ innehållsanalys gjordes för att jämföra policydokumentens innehåll med respektive tidnings nyhetsmaterial.

The purpose of this study has been to investigate how individuals with reading- and writing disabilities and dyslexia handle their information need in the workplace. The method that has been used is a qualitative study made with interviews with individuals who have these problems, to see how they think and feel about the flow of information on their everyday basis. The study?s respondents are working women between the ages of 27 and 47 years old and they have reading- and writing disabilities and dyslexia. The most interesting results of this study are that the respondents are avoiding jobs where they need to read and write much and where they also do not like changes in their job situation.

Jag har studerat en Learning Study i syfte att studera innebörder av kritiska aspekter i olika skeenden i en Learning Study. Detta med utgångspunkt i följande forskarfrågor: Vilka kritiska aspekter identifieras under processen i Learning Study träffarna?, Hur realiseras de kritiska aspekterna under försökslektionerna?, Vilka identifierade kritiska aspekter, ges möjlighet att erfaras av eleverna under försökslektionerna och resultatet i eftertestet?Studien kan ses som en form av praxisnära forskning av kvalitativ karaktär och har sin grund i min roll som en av deltagarna i ett FoU-arbete i Learning Study anordnat av utbildningsförvaltningen i Stockholm i samarbete med Stockholms universitet. Studien har sin utgångspunkt i granskning av avhandlingar och forskningsartiklar som innehåller studier kring och inom området Learning Study. Redan 1899 skrev Woodworth om iakttagelser av effekten av visuell feedback på rörelser. Sedan dess har ett stort antal studier berört ämnet och studerat effekterna de medför. Denna studie anser att det finns brister i kunskapen om visuell feedbacks effekter inom vardaglig användning. Genom att låta deltagare använda och utvärdera instanser av en bokningsplattform för biljetter till ett event har studien observerat användarens upplevelse och effektivitet under processen.Den insamlade datan analyserades via variansanalys men lyckas inte avfärda nollhypotesen. Studiens resultat visade ingen korrelation mellan närvaron av visuell feedback på hover-funktionen och användarens effektivitet och upplevelse.

Den här studien studerar crowdfunding och musikfestivaler och hur dessa kan kombineras. Syftet är att utifrån ett upplevelseproduktionsperspektiv teoretiskt beskriva den nya modellen för crowdfundade festivaler som U x U Festival utvecklat. För att uppnå syftet kommer jag att besvara följande frågor: Vad innebär en crowdfundad festival (U x U Festival)? Hur kan en crowdfundad festival beskrivas utifrån ett upplevelseproduktionsteoretiskt perspektiv? Hur kan en teoretisk modell se ut för en crowdfundad festival?Mina resultat visar att crowdfunding kan vara en mycket bra finansieringslösning för festivaler och kulturarrangemang som vid större produktioner tvingas ta stora ekonomiska risker om inte biljettförsäljning, väder och konkurrerande event faller väl ut. Crowdfunding kan, genom att tidigarelägga delar av intäkterna för biljettförsäljningen åtta till nio månader före festivalen hjälpa festivaler att differentiera sig och även skala storleken på festivalen efter den tidigarelagda biljettförsäljningen.

This study has been conducted with the purpose to examine the marketing effects of waiting lines on the customer- and brand experience. Our ambition has been to describe how the waiting line can be used to heighten the positive experiences. The study has had a qualitative, as well as an inductive approach towards the subject. Sveriges Radio stores their data in large archives which makes it hard to retrieve specific information. The sheer size of the archives makes retrieving information about a specific event difficult and causes a big problem. To solve this problem a more consistent use of metadata is needed. This resulted in an investigation about metadata and keyword genera-tion.The appointed task was to automatically generate keywords from transcribed radio shows. This included an investigation of which systems and algorithms that can be used to generate keywords, based on previous works.

Syftet med denna kandidatuppsats är att studera hur den Olympiska parken i Peking respektive London planeras för att hantera de Olympiska spelen samt hur de planerats för att användas efteråt. Vidare är syftet att se vilka förutsättningar och vilken problematik som därefter uppstår. Undersökningen har skett genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys av den Olympiska parken i Peking respektive London. Resultatet från studien har därefter analyserats och diskuterats utifrån ett par teoretiska huvudpunkter som är viktiga vid planeringen av mega-event. Planeringen av de Olympiska spelen är ett komplext projekt med många olika aspekter att ta hänsyn till.
