ISIT-modellen : Vägledning för att realisera en verksamhets informationssäkerhetsmål
The ISO standard ISO/IEC 17799/SS-627799-2 is a guidance for organizations to realize their information security goals. In spite of this standard, studies show flaws regarding information security in organizations. In particular flaws regarding overall view, knowledge and clear roles and responsibilities have been observed. The ISIT (Information Security Integrated Three level) model and its guidelines, developed in this thesis, help organizations to identify the required processes and procedures as well as the logical process flow. The thesis is based on theoretical studies and a case study within a multinational company.
HAR BÖRSEN FÅTT INFLUENSAN? - En event-studie av huruvida fågelinfluensan har påverkat finansiella marknader
SYFTE: Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka huruvida uttalanden från Världshälsoorganisationen, gällande första händelsen av att vild¬fågel, hönsfågel eller människa blivit smittad av H5N1 i ett land, har bidragit till abnormala prisrörelser hos aktuellt lands noterade företag med hönsfågelrelaterad verksamhet.METOD: Undersökningen är en event-studie där aktiekurers utveckling har undersökts vid informationshändelser rörande fågelinfluensan. För att estimera en jämförande normal avkastning har vi använt oss av en kombinerad OLS- och ARMA-modellering.TEORETISKT PERSPEKTIV: Den effektiva marknadshypotesen är den grundläggande teorin som använts för att analysera insamlad empiri, som även tillsammans med andra studier inom samma ämnesområde utgör det använda teoretiska ramverket.EMPIRI: 19 informationshändelsers påverkan på aktiekurser har analyse¬rats för att estimera normal och abnormal avkastning. Dessa 19 aktiekurser härstammar från 18 olika företag, belägna i sju olika länder.SLUTSATSER: Undersökningens resultat tyder på att undersökta företags aktiepriser inte påverkats nämnvärt av WHO:s uttalande om att H5N1-viruset spritt sig till respektive företags land. Det finns dock ingen möjlighet att dra några statistiskt signifikanta slut¬satser grundade på undersökningen och dess analyserade empiri..
Vem använder budget? : En kvantitativ undersökning av budgettillämpningen i olika organisationer
Weber and Linder (2005) have enlightened that the focus of the current debate on the budget?s to be or not be, has been on trying to find a general tool, which fits best in all situations. They argue that the budget may be more appropriate for organizations in certain circumstances, than for others. They claim that there is a gap in research concerning the situations in which the budget may be appropriate, or when Beyond budgeting is preferred. It is this gap we are trying to fill with our thesis.The purpose of the thesis is to explain which situational factors that affect the organization's use of budgets for the functions the budget can fulfill.
Prismodeller för Facilities Management-tjänster
A study has been conducted on how organizations in Sweden administer costs of facilities management services internally. There are three main theoretical methods for administering costs. In the first method, costs are maintained on a central level; in the second method, costs are allocated and in the third method, internal transfer pricing is used. The aim of the study is to identify which methods are applied in practice, to evaluate whether the methods fulfill their intended purposes and to study the relationship between the methods used and the cost level of facilites management services. In practice, a large diversity of methods are used for facilities management costs.
Organisering av ojämställdhet - En studie av kvinnors möjligheter att nå chefspositioner i Försvarsmaktens personalstab
This thesis aims to examine why women are prevented from attaining high positions in organizations. By executing a case study through qualitative interviews with employees from the Human Resource Department at the agency for Swedish Armed Forces, this study presents eight general and specific explanatory factors that hinder women from making a vertical career. The general factors include that women are discriminated against, women are perceived as less competent, men have created organizations and it is easier to recruit men. The specific factors include that a hierarchical organizational structure is correlated to inequality, that both the agency for Swedish Armed Forces and leadership are associated with masculinity and that women with civil competence face double misfortune. The division between general and specific factors indicate that the explanatory factors vary between organizations, which among other things implies that equality work should be tailored for the specific organization.
APPLE : Abnormala avkastningar på Apple Inc av diverse händelser?
This paper treats the question about how the internationally established company, Apple, is affected by intern or extern events when it comes to the trade market. The purpose of the study is to investigate if chosen events create abnormal return on Apples stock market. The chosen research area is Steve Jobs three sick-listings, It-bubble and the purchase of the search engine company Siri. The reason of writing about this is the big interest for the stock market and its function.This study methodological starting position is quantitative done by an event study, with qualitative feature done by an interview with an expertise within this area. When analyzing the empirics, we have used the efficient market theory that says that information should not affect the stock market in the degree that abnormal return creates.
pm3-revision : En välgrundad metodutveckling av metod för revision av förvaltningsstyrning
In the field of maintenance management there are but a few models an organization can use. The one model that has risen to the status of being the de facto standard in Sweden is pm3(på maintenance management model). The aim of this study is to lay the groundwork for a new method of evaluate the use of pm3within organizations. Today there is no uniform way of performing such an evaluation, which is necessary in order to diagnose the performance of the systems maintenance organizations.In the process of creating our own method for performing this kind of pm3audit, we further developed the ideas from a study by Lagsten & Nordström (2013) that was performed at the county Region Skåne. The authors of that study had developed ideas about using method rationale as a basis of creating a method for pm3auditing.
Hur motiverar man evenemangsvolontärer att återkomma?
Vad är det egentligen som gör att volontärer vill återkomma år efter år? I analysen i denna uppsats kommer vi till slutsatsen att det finns många faktorer som påverkar och bland dessa beror motivationen på vilket steg på Maslows behovstrappa som man befinner sig på just nu. Alltså är orsaken för att återvända individuell. För att undersöka frågan vidare genomfördes samtal med två fokusgrupper. Den ena bestod av elever från högskoleutbildningen Event management och den andra bestod av individer som alla hade volontärarbetat på återkommande evenemang men som inte läste Eventutbildningen.
Berättelsen, tolkningen, uterummet : en lustgårds-gestaltning på Stadsmuseets innergård
Jag har i detta examensprojekt gjort ett lustgårds-gestaltningsförslag som förhåller sig till ett reellt uppdrag.Uppdraget handlar om att formge Stockholms Stadsmuseums innergård som en samtida -men- sagolik lustgård under två veckor i juni.Innergården kommer att utgöra entrén och vara en förlängning av utställningen ?Stockholm hjärta Kärlek? som pågår inne på Stadsmuseet under samma tidsperiod. En utställning som belyser historiska kärleksberättelser i staden.Utställningen är en del av Stockholms Stads övriga eventsatsning Love 2010. Ett event som går under ledorden; festlig, öppen, delaktig, -ett event där man vill öppna upp staden för dess invånare och turister.Innergården ska fungera dels som en ?happening-oas? med ett antal fasta och tillfälliga aktiviteter, likaväl som ett kontemplativt rum med en ?scenografi sk gestaltning?.
Upplevd arbetsmiljö : En kvalitativ studie om omsorgsgivares erfarenheter av ledningens och organisationens inverkan på deras arbetsmiljö
The aim of this essay was to describe and interpret the managements and organizations impact regarding the caregivers working conditions. To examine this we used a qualitative method. We completed two group interviews and five individual interviews with a total of fifteen enrolled nurses that worked within elderly care. In our interviews we found that the enrolled nurses felt that the organizations economic interests collided with their personal values regarding good quality elderly care. We also found that the caregivers experienced that they had an impact on their working conditions and that their employer was the main reason for making it possible..
Public Sector Scorecard : en ekonomistyrningsmodell med kundfokus
The Public Sector Scorecard (PSS) is a younger version of the balanced scorecard, created for public and nonprofit organizations. The latest model of PSS is divided into three main groups and seven perspectives, while the balanced scorecard consists of four perspectives. Organizations who use either PSS or the balanced scorecard are supposed to have a clear vision spread all over the unit. This study has sought differences between the two models of financial control in both theory and practice. The first part of the study is a theoretical comparison between the models? structures and terms used in them.
Häst- och ridsport utifrån ett kulturpolitiskt perspektiv : Om Karlstad Kommuns ekonomiska stöd till ideella föreningar inom häst- och ridsport
The purpose of this paper is to view Karlstad Municipality and their financial support to non-profit organizations within equestrian sports. Despite the varying representatives of various equestrian sports in Karlstad, there seems to be a single beneficiary within the sport when it comes to financial support from the municipality. The policies and plans concerning cultural development are directly compared to the Karlstad Municipality and its contribution to these organizations within equestrian sports. Through interviews and reports I have studied the process of financial support from the Karlstad municipality using an intersectionality theory based on Nina Lykkes guide on gender studies and feminist theory. Pierre Bourdieu?s theories on field, habitus and capital are also used as a method to enhance the understanding of equestrian sports and its role in modern Swedish society. The conclusion is that the Karlstad Municipality is, for a several of reasons, promoting non-profit organizations within equestrian sports, which are operating as riding schools.

Hur har den finansiella krisen påverkat Västerbottens läns främsta damfotbollsföreningar : - Avseende sponsring
This study is made, on behalf of Västerbottens Fotbollsförbund, with the purpose to investigate how the 2008 financial crisis have affected the sponsorship to the voluntary sports sector in the Västerbotten region, with focus on the womens elite football teams. The background of this study was to investigate the effect of the financial crisis to help the voluntary organizations in the future. The study was carried out with a qualitative approach as depth interviews with ten people representing both the voluntary organizations and the sponsoring companies, which one was a previous sponsor. To understand and interpret the result of the interviews we used models such as the stakeholder model, the A-ERIC model and a communication model for sponsorship from literature such as Donaldson and Preston (1995), Mitchell et. al.
Informationsflöden inom mobila-stationära organisationer
A good flow of information in organizations is one of the key aspects of how we define a well-functioning organization. The information flow could be internal as well as external between actors within as well as outside of the organization. In a logistics organization this flow of information is equally important as in any other kind of organization. In this paper we have explored information flows in logistics organizations by applying, boundary spanning and the mobile-stationary divide perspective. In boundary spanning the main goal is to erase or relocate some of the boundaries within an organization, in our case to make the flow of information internally as well as externally better.
