Den här uppsatsen undersöker om IMF, genom sitt agerande under den finansiella krisen i Indonesien 1997-1998 gav upphov till moral hazard. Problemet analyseras dels kvalitativt genom att titta närmare på de förväntningar som IMF hade på den indonesiska staten och jämföra dessa med den faktiska utgången. Den kvantitativa analysen baserar sig på den monetära betalningsbalansteorin. Genom att observera förändringar i den inhemska kreditexpansionen mäts huruvida den indonesiska penningpolitiken var expansiv eller åtstramande. Såväl den kvalitativa som den kvantitativa analysen visar att IMF bidrog till att moral hazard uppstod..

Sammanfattning I det här arbetet har syftet varit att undersöka vilka delar det går att upptäcka inom de olika världsreligionerna att använda inom momentet etik och moral i skolans undervisning. Undersökningen har skett utifrån vad gymnasiets kursplan i religionskunskap uttrycker om momentet samt vad läroplanen nämner om ett etiskt förhållningssätt. För att uppnå syftet har en innehållsanalys av läromedel gjorts och därmed en analys av hur de olika världsreligionerna presenterar begrepp som etik/moral och livsfrågor. Detta har medfört en sammanställning av ett eventuellt material att använda inom religionsundervisningen med utgångspunkt i etik och moral. Metoden som använts är en innehållsanalys av både kvantitativ och kvalitativ art.

This paper examines the possibilities of using video games as a tool for education of virtue ethics. By comparing learning aspects in Marc Prensky?s theory Digital Game-Based Learning and Aristotelian virtue ethics, this paper tries to look for similarities in how each theory looks at learning. Prensky?s theory is about how one can use video games in education, which is why it is used here.

The purpose of this paper has been to reach a greater understanding in how moral inflicts social workers way of handling everyday situations. In what way, if in any way, moral comes to play a part in the making of decisions. In order to reach this understanding we have interviewed two different groups of social workers which we also later on came to compare . One of the groups contained six interviewees and the other group contained five interviewees. Both of these groups were in the ages between 27 ? 52.To shed some light over this phenomenon did we use two theoretical perspectives, first Kant?s morale theory and second, consequentialistic utilitarism theory.As a result from the interviews we?ve made, we came to an understanding that the meaning of morale and in what way it can be applied in the everyday work differs between these two professional groups.

Arbetet omfattar en studie i värdegrundsarbetet i skolan. Vi har tittat på vad lärare anser ingå i arbetet med värdegrunden och vad de anser om sin egen etikundervisning. Med hjälp av frågeställningar vill vi få reda på huvudsyftet, nämligen att ta reda på hur olika lärare arbetar och resonerar kring värdegrundsarbetet i år 4 ? 6, för att kunna känna igen och förstå etiska situationer i klassrummet. Våra frågeställningar är följande: Vad anser lärare ingå i området etik och moral? Vilka etiska situationer kan man finna i klassrummet? Vad anser läraren om sin egen etikundervisning? Studien är byggd på fem lärarintervjuer och klassrumsobservationer i grundskolan år 4- 6.

This study examines the possibilities of interpreting the moral values and ethics presented in the current curriculums in a way that makes them inclusive and constructive. The study also reveals how the liberal democratic ideal, presented in the curriculums as a hyper-ideology, is not at all easy to define or live up to in the pluralistic school of today.By close-reading and criticizing the curriculum for the Swedish senior high school (Gy11)and by looking at it from two different points of views, as rules or norms and as a process, Ishow how the curriculum can be interpreted as a basis or starting point for a communicationabout values. The theme of this thesis is the professional ethics of public librarians. Qualitative interviews have been conducted with fourteen public librarians, with the aim to investigate their thoughts·and opinions concerning professional ethics and their experiences of ethical dilemmas in professional situations.The result shows that the majority of the librarians often discuss problems concerning what's right or wrong but that the discussions are conducted on the basis of practical situations and not in terms of professional ethics. The majority have vague ideas of how the term professional ethics should be applied on the work of public librarians, though all the interviewees consider the professional ethical discussion to be important.We examine the librarians opinions and experiences of ethical dilemmas conceming four subject areas: the principle of the librarian as a neutral and nonrestricting information intermediary, the principle of equal treatment of all the library visitors, difficulties. concerning media selection and the problems based upon the librarians flexibility towards the intemal rules of the library. The librarians experienced the behaviour towards the visitors as the greatest problem.

Whistleblowing är någonting som i dagsläget blir allt mer känt. Edward Snowden och Wikileaks är det första som kommer till tanken när whistleblowing nämns. I den ekonomiska världen förekommer även Enron som en whistleblowing skandal, som många känner till då det är den största företagsskandal som inträffat under modern tid. Whistleblowing definieras som ett verktyg som ska motverka oegentligheter och börjar införskaffas av fler företag. Medan föregående studier undersöker vad som rapporteras, men också vilka individer som blåser i pipan, förekommer det inte någon studie om hur arbetet med whistleblowing faktiskt ser ut i företagen.

The purpose of this study is to examine whether the high school textbook on religious studies differences in how Christian ethics and in what way it is presented in comparison with the presentation of Buddhism, Hinduism and Judaism and it´s ethics. The analyzed material is textbooks from the late 1960s to the 2010s. Due to the survey´s nature the focus is first and foremost the chapters dealing with religious ethical issues and what amount of pages or space the different religions are given in the books. The results from the textbooks are compared with the curriculum that is or was effective during the time the books were published. This is done to determine whether there is a clear link between the books and the guidelines of the curriculum.

Undersökningar visar på att många lärare upplever det svårt att hanterafostransuppdraget, både ur ett tidsmässigt och ett didaktiskt perspektiv. Syftet med denhär studien är att ta del av berättelser av hur de hanterar fostransuppdraget med fokuspå elevernas etik och moral samt att undersöka hur man lär sig hantera uppdraget.Studien har utförts ur ett hermeneutiskt perspektiv och empiriskt material har samlatsin genom intervjuer med gymnasielärare. Resultaten visar på att kursplanernas innehållhar betydelse för hur mycket utrymme läraren ger åt värdegrundsfrågor. Lärarehanterar elevernas etik och moral olika beroende på situation och problemets karaktär.Lärarnas egna mål är bland annat att få lektionerna att fungera, att eleverna kännertrygghet i klassrummet och att öka elevernas förståelse för andra människor. För attlära sig hantera uppdraget krävs att vara där det händer och att våga diskutera etik ochmoral med eleverna.

Jag ska i denna uppsats ta upp tre olika filosofers definitioner och användande av begreppet rationalitet och analysera, tolka och jämföra dessa. De filosofer jag har läst in mig på skiljer sig i det att de argumenterar för olika normativa filosofier. Jag har läst Kant som är deontolog, Singer som är utilitarist och Regan som är rättighetsteoretiker. Jag kommer att introducera och analysera varje enskild filosofs definition och användande för att sedan jämföra och söka efter likheter och skillnader. Jag kommer också att diskutera vad dessa skillnader och likheter kan bero på och vad det kan ge för resultat.

The purpose of this thesis is to deepen the understanding of our contemporary description of digital literacy using the perspective on knowledge from the Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle. I have chosen to deal with the problem using a hermeneutic approach. The method of inquiry is based on close reading of the selected literature. The selection itself has been made after a strategic selection regarding perspective on knowledge and digital literacy. It appears in the thesis that there are substantial differences but also similarities between our contemporary description of digital literacy from Recommendation of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 on key competences for lifelong learning and the perspective on knowledge from the Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle.Still, the result has been possible to use for the purpose of the thesis since the problem has an answer and a deepened impression of the understandings of digital literacy..

Denna undersökning syftar till att undersöka nationella skillnader i moralutveckling och innehåll i moraliskt resonemang. Studien omfattar 445 svenska och 148 amerikanska ungdomar i åldern 14-19 år. De svenska fpp är hämtade från högstadium och gymnasium i Stockholmsområdet, och de amerikanska från två katolska privatskolor i New York. Dessa tog del av ett moralfrågeformulär av Gibbs (Gibbs & Widaman, 1982; Socio-moral Reflection Measure; SRM) som är en reviderad version av Kohlbergs intervjumetod för bedömning av en individs moralutveckling och kvalitativa, moraliska synsätt i frågor rörande moral. Vid analysen förelåg inga nationella skillnader i moralutvecklingsnivå.

The aim of this study is to examine if Kenneth, a character in the novel Nyår by Stig Larsson, takes his ethical responsibility for one of the characters that appears in one section of the book, Ann. Nyår has often been related to morality. This study shows that Levinas philosophy of ethics is a supplement to the discussion of morality. According to Levinas, a person that acts in a non-moral way still can act in a righteous ethical way. With this starting point, it is possible to be close to the text and to bring out new perspectives on the novel.

The main purpose of this master thesis is to explore a selection of Swedish librarians view of professional ethics. The latest master thesis written on the subject was published in 1997, which concluded that the Swedish public librarians had a poor awareness concerning professional ethics. We wanted to investigate if something had changed. We interviewed six librarians from five public libraries, asking them questions concerning ethical guidelines, responsibility, censorship and selection, pressure from lobbyists, and ethical problems relating to Internet. The answers we got gave the impression of a divided profession, and the librarian?s awareness of professional ethics can hardly be said to have been improved since 1997.
