AbstractThe purpose of my essay was through economically, socially and psychologically aspects examine the impact Bethesda Children´s Ministry made on families. Special interest have been taken to how Bethesda is dealing with responsibility and expectations. Also I´ve been interested in which vital change the boy have gone through during the rehabilitation? I´ve got the information from staff, parents and former street boys through interviews done in Kenya.The first result showed that rehabilitation at Bethesda means socialisation of the boy, from the behaviour of the street, to a functional family member. A great change for the boy was stopping using drug and start live in a family.

Intressenter har under de senaste åren ställt högre krav på att företag ska ta ett socialt ansvar vilket har bidragit till en omfattande debatt om Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Denna uppsats ämnar att undersöka hur Ericssons CSR integreras på organisationens huvudkontor i Kista. För att kunna svara på samhällets förväntningar är det väsentligt för företag att integrera CSR djupt i organisationen. För att integrera CSR presenterar denna uppsats en fyrstegsprocess som bygger på att företag bör ha en intern CSR röst, att de ska mäta CSR aktiviteterna, att företaget ska ha ett proaktivt synsätt och att det ska ske en attitydförändring angående CSR i företaget. Genom att analysera Ericssons CSR-aktiviteter utifrån denna process kan vi konstatera att Ericsson integrerar sina CSR aktiviteter via sitt ledningssystem, sin Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability rapport, intern kommunikation och utbildning och dialoger med företagets interna intressenter.

Bakgrund: Etik och moral är något som ständigt finns närvarande i sjuksköterskans dagliga arbete. Moralisk stress uppstår när en person vet hur hon/han önskar handla, men hindras från att utföra sin handling. Syfte: Syftet var att kartlägga i vilka situationer som sjuksköterskan upplever moralisk stress. Metod: Litteraturstudie genom analys av 10 vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultat: Det är framför allt den livsuppehållande vården, personalbrist, att arbeta med personal som har bristfällig kompetens och patientens behov av autonomi som skapar moralisk stress hos sjuksköterskan.

Abstract"The war on terror" has resulted in numerous exceptions from the constitutional order. This thesis is an attempt to give empirical support to Georgio Agambens theory that these exceptions should be regarded as a constant element in modern societies based on a constitutional order. The results of the case study of the empirical exceptions in the American context give Agambens theory validity. The exception is a reappearing phenomenon, which implies that the constitutional order is fragile. What then is it that makes the legal norms fragile? In this thesis I will discuss the causality of moral panic.

AbstractKlimatpiloterna är ett projekt utformat av Kalmars kommun. Projektets mål är att skapa kunskap kring en klimatsmart livsstil. Studien syftar till att skapa en fördjupad förståelse för deltagarna i projektet klimatpiloterna. Förståelse för deltagarnas attityder och värderingar kring miljöfrågor utifrån moral, ansvar och livspolitik. Klimatpiloternas miljömedvetenhet undersöks genom kvalitativa intervjuer.

Då arbetsplatserna kan upplevas som allt tystare är det av vikt att det trots allt finns individer som larmar om oegentligheter inom de egna organisationerna. Individer som gör så kallas whistleblowers och denna studie syftar till att försöka förstå en del i de bakomliggande orsakerna till detta beteende. Vi har studerat vilken betydelse den rådande organisationsstrukturen samt individens inre principer har för whistleblowing. Studien är kvalitativ och består av fem intervjuer med såväl personer som agerat whistleblowers, samt personer som i sin yrkesroll fyller en funktion som whistleblowers. Alla våra intervjupersoner är kopplade till människovårdande organisationer.

In this paper we investigate whether power structures in organizations have an influence in the process that leads to burnout. We analyze if these power structures affect the individual?s health condition toward burnout in a way that leads to disability and subsequent absence from work. In the study, six persons who all have been unable to work due to burnout have been studied through qualitative, semi-structured interviews. The material have been coded with three different themes; leadership and hierarchy, responsibility and delegation of responsibility and performance and loyalty.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) har fått en allt större roll under senare år. Fler och fler företag ser värdet av och engagerar sig i frågor rörande miljö, samhälle och socialt ansvarstagande. Under många år har det förts en debatt kring huruvida engagemang i dessa frågor kan ha påverkan på lönsamheten i företag och i så fall vilka samband som finns. Resultaten av tidigare studier har varit olika och ingen tydlig slutsats har kunnat dras. Den här studien syftar till att försöka svara på om CSR har inverkan på företags lönsamhet.

This paper is written to take a close look at teaching methods used at the Summer Academy (SHS), which is held at Södertörns Högskola in Stockholm. SHS is a subdivision of the institution of teaching education, which annually, during summertime, offers an eight-day program for pupils between 13-15 years of age, from different schools located in socio-economically disadvantaged suburbs of Stockholm. The intention of SHS is to give the participating pupils an insight into higher education, especially that of university. The purpose of the activities, such as field trips, guided tours and corporate visits, is to make pupils aware of their own responsibility for their educational situation through different methods of knowledge transfer, to diversify the means of the education, and to bring awareness to the array of possibilities which they have access to within the Swedish system of tertiary education.The study is based on six deep-interviews, three with pupils and three with student mentors. Together with 131 surveys from the course given during the summer of 2014, and theories of John Dewey on ?Learning-by-doing?, the results show that pupils participation in SHS give them a better understanding for, and knowledge about their own educational responsibility.Another question this paper seeks to address is how significantly the SHS program is changing the pupil?s experience of education in general and their view upon higher education specifically.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka och diskutera moral och etik i socialt arbete genom en litteratur-genomgång utgående från mötet mellan socialsekreterare och klient. Forskningsfrågorna var: ?Vilken är etikens roll i socialt arbete? Bidrar etik i socialt arbete till att skapa jämnare maktförhållanden i samhället? Och: Hur beskrivs och hanteras frågorna om etik i fyra rapporter om bemötande och etik i socialt arbete?I den kvalitativa litteraturgenomgången ingår moralfilosofiska texter från vår egen tid, monografier om allmän och tillämpad etik för socialt arbete, rapporter om etikens tillämpning och problematik och fyra rapporter om bemötande, från tiden mellan 1994 och 2003. Textmaterialet analyserades utifrån ett strukturellt perspektiv på socialt arbete och en kritisk-diskursanalytisk metod. Som resultat framkom att etik på grund av de stora skillnaderna mellan etiska målsättningar och vardagen inom socialt arbete bara kan betraktas som en faktor bland många andra i värdering av socialt arbete samt att etik kan användas både för att skapa medvetande och bättre psykosociala arbetsförhållanden men också för att kamouflera verkligheten och därmed bidra till förtryck..

In January of 2014 a newly founded company held a press conference in central Stockholm. The purpose of the conference was to inform about Lexbase, the largest database on the Internet with legal information about the Swedish general public. The aim of this particular paper is to use news reports about Lexbase as material to identify the theses and their types presented in Swedish newspapers, and to examine the ideology constructed and presented by the theses in the said news reports. The questions asked in the paper are 1. What the distribution of different theses looks like and is there a type of thesis that more often invokes an implicit argumentation? 2.

The purpose of this essay is to discuss the base of sociology from an existentialistic perspective. The discussion takes it's position in the debate on the crisis of sociology, and aligns with Alvin Gouldner's understanding of the crisis. Gouldner believed that the crisis of sociology was mirrored in a sociological method that failed to describe the social reality that it meant to describe; a lack in self-criticism and self-reflexivity, a lack in self-containment in relation to state interests and a lack in moral engagement. This raises a number of questions, which I discuss in the essay. What is the role of sociology in our society? How shall we form a method that responds to the social reality that we sociologists aim to describe? How can we make sociology more moral?Existentialism offers a starting point to describe these questions.

Intensivvårdssjuksköterskor uttrycker upplevelser av moralisk stress i det dagliga arbetet och detta kan leda till utbrändhet eller behov av att byta yrke då de inte lyckas bemästra sin situation. Studiens syfte var att kartlägga moralisk stress hos intensivvårdssjuksköterskor med hjälp av Moral Distress Scale(MDS). Studien utfördes med en deskreptiv metod av tvärsnittsdesign där 45 sjusköterskor med intensivvårdsutbildning i västsverige tillfrågades att vid ett tillfälle besvara en enkät med en validerad svensköversatt MDS. Resultatet påvisade att det finns signifikant höga nivåer av moralisk stress hos intensivvårdssjuksköterskor yngre än 45 år(p=0,044) och även i gruppen med kandidat/-magisterexamen(p=0,003). De högsta nivåerna av moralisk stress kunde uppmätas när intensivvårdssjuksköterskorna ställdes inför situationer där de upplevde att ingen var beredd att fatta beslut om att avsluta livsuppehållande behandling.

This paper examines how individual social welfare officers argue about the conditions in foreign aid. The paper is a qualitative interview study there nine social welfare officers from four local governments have been interviewed.The results are divided into two areas. First, the client's responsibility over their own lives   and self-determination. These two areas are then analyzed separately.The analysis assumes an aletisk hermeneutics where the basis for the attribution of the result is Max Weber's vocation ethics and the more recent research about foreign aid.The conclusion of the study was that social workers believe that the client's responsibility for their own self-sufficiency outweighs supply. Financial assistance must be justified in order to be paid regardless of whether this causes rejection of application for financial aid..
