Syftet med min uppsats är att fördjupa mig kring hur personalen på några förskolor resonerar kring sin skyldighet att anmäla när de misstänker att ett barn far illa. Utifrån detta vill jag förstå om personalen upplever några svårigheter med anmälningsplikten, för att därmed kännatill vilka dessa svårigheter kan vara.Utifrån detta syfte har jag formulerat om följande frågeställning:*Vilka eventuella hinder eller problem kan uppstå i samband med anmälningspliktenvid misstanke om att ett barn far illa?Genom att använda mig av den kvalitativa forskningsmetoden lyckades jag samla in empiriskt material från förskolepedagoger på fem olika förskolor. Jag genomförde sammanlagt 5 kvalitativa intervjuer, varav tre av dem består av gruppintervjuer och två enskilda. Efter insamlingen och bearbetningen av det insamlade materialet kom jag fram till att vissa teorierskulle kunna tillämpas för att ge en förklaring och ett svar på min frågeställning.

The purpose of this essay is to examine whether and how labor consultants, job coaches, guidance counselors promote the possibility of self-realization of the clients they encounter in their work. By analyzing, based on the theoretical framework, six semi-structured interviews of people having the chosen professions answer the questions "Do counselors promote client's opportunities for self-realization in their work?" and "If so: how is this practiced?". In the theoretical framework three important concepts are addressed: "identity", "recognition" and "self-realization". These are explained with the help of works by including Emma Engdahl, Anthony Giddens, Axel Honneth and Allison Weir.

En konstruktion som präglas av att en människa bildar sin självuppfattning i relation till andra människor i det sociala samspelet, vilket den interaktionistiska teoritraditionen menar. I denna uppsats förhåller jag mig dels till Erwing Goffmans teori om ´Stigma´, dels till Anselm L. Strauss teori om ´Identitet´ med fokus på ´vändpunkter´ och ´statusövergångar´. Den tidigare forskningen visar på att fördomar, stigmatisering och diskriminering i samband med fenomenet psykisk ohälsa är vanligt förekommande.

Syftet med studien var att få mer kunskap om vilka motiv människor har till att ständigt återkomma till Sweden Rock Festival och vilka upplevelser under festivalen som attraherar dem. Frågeställningarna var: Varför väljer man att återkomma år efter år till samma festival, och vilka upplevelser under festivalen är attraherande?Till grund för empirin, ligger en kvalitativ studie med intervjuer av sju ständigt återkommande besökare till Sweden Rock Festival. Analysen grundar sig på socialpsykologiska teorier om mänskliga möten av Goffman och psykologiska teorier om motiv. Dessa är bl a; Cromptons teorier om push och pull faktorer och Manells och Isa-Aholas escapeseeking modell.Resultatet visar att informanterna väljer att återkomma för att uppleva sådant de saknar i sina liv till vardags.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate how seven homosexual men in the age between 18 and 26 years experience openness with their sexuality in Stockholm. We wish to investigate how these men experience and handle their everyday life in a community characterized by a heteronormative foundation. We will focus on how they handle their openness in an urban environment and if they experience any limitations dependent on the situation or surroundings they live in, and also how they handle these situations. The study is hermeneutically inspired where seven life story interviews are analyzed within the theoretical frameworks provided by Connell, Goffman, Foucault and Queer theory.The results show that the respondents? openness varies depending on a variety of factors where surroundings, situations and previous experiences are influential.

To investigate adoptions are part of the social worker's duties. The aim of our study was to examine some adoptive parents, to internationally adopted children, experience of adopting, the time before the adoption, the adoption process, and the time after the adoption. The study is based on qualitative interviews with seven adoptive parents. Theoretical frameworks that have been used are a phenomenological perspective, the dramaturgical perspective of Goffman and the theory of rites of passage.The result of our study shows that the adoptive parents have tried ?everything? to be-come parents in a biological way before they came to the decision to adopt.

The aim of this study is to examine how ADHD is discussed in the Swedish mass media. We have examined 21 articles from Aftonbladet, Expressen, Dagens Nyheter, Göteborgs-Posten and Svenska Dagbladet. All articles are reviewed from the newspapers online edition.Theories used are Erving Goffman?s theory of Stigma and Michael Foucault´s theory of categorization as well as Göran Palm's, Renée Skogersson's and Anders R. Olsson's theories about mass media.

Kriminalvårdens vision är att de intagna ska få verktyg att klara av livet utanför murarna, utan kriminalitet och missbruk och deras motto är "Bättre ut". Med denna c-uppsats ville vi undersöka personalens inställningar på kriminalvården (på behandlingsanstalt och frivården) kring påverkande faktorer mot att minska eller motverka återfallsförbrytare, samt om det fanns någon skillnad mellan dessa personalgrupper. I studien medverkade åtta individer från kriminalvården och datamaterialet samlades in via intervjuer. Den teoretiska förankringen bygger på teorier från Foucault, Mathiesen och Goffman. Studien utgår från en kvalitativ metod med en hermeneutisk forskningstradition, vilket har givit möjligheten att använda förförståelsen i tolkningsprocessen.

This study aims to find out what relationship high school students have to social networks at the Internet. This has been done by focusing on norms/standards that adolescents can feel under stress to achieve, through stressing themselves by social networks in a way that is consistent with the norms. The empirical data has been gathered by questionnaires which have been answered by adolescents in randomly selected schools and classes in a medium size Swedish town, Karlskrona. The result showed that all of the participating adolescents have user accounts on a social network. Furthermore it also emerged that a lot of the adolescents thought that norms existed that should be followed in a social network about how to stress oneself.

This study aims to further Work-family conflict research for Social Workers by providing insight into what kind of impact the job role of social workers in Sweden has on their private lives and how they deal with it. The study operates from a qualitative approach and is based on three focus group-interviews and three semi-structured interviews with people working in different fields of social work. The empirical material has been analyzed through the Dramaturgical Perspective and Frame concept of Erving Goffman. The results of this study show that the job role impacts the psychological well-being of social workers, their family life and their social life to varying degrees, mainly due to organizational and client-based aspects, often resulting in role-conflicts and a lack of energy in their private lives. The primary strategies were found to be conversing with colleagues, spending time alone, embracing hobbies and having a clear understanding of individual responsibility. .

The aim of this study was to, with a social constructivistic approach, examine how parents,regarded as neglecting their children, are depicted in 12 LVU-legal cases from the Supreme Administrative Court in Sweden. By using a document analysis influenced by discourse analytical tools, we found that there are repeated descriptions of the parents, which constructs an image of parents as shortcoming in the care of their children. The categories lack of emotions, mental disorder, substance abuse and physical maltreatment were the main reasons for child neglect that the parents were described from. Attitudes towards authority, aggression and immaturity, lack of insight, and deficiencies in the home were repeated in the description of the parent. We further found that mothers were regarded as more responsible of the children compared to fathers.
