I denna uppsats har jag valt att studera självstärkande inslag i förskoleverksamhetens vardag och knyta an dessa till teoretiker som Erikson, Maslow samt Sommer. Undersökningen är baserad på tidigare forskning, ovan nämnda teoretiker samt en enkätundersökning. Enkätundersökningen genomfördes på en förskola med 16 pedagoger och kan därför ses som en grund för ett vidare forskningsarbete. Studien visade att det vanligaste sättet att stärka barnens självkänsla var att låta dem försöka själva innan de fick hjälp av någon vuxen, uppmuntra dem att försöka på nytt samt att ge positiv respons när de lyckades. Jag fann av svaren flest anknytningar till Maslow samt Sommer, endast några inslag kunde knytas till Erikson.In this examination I?ve chosen to look at educationalists work procedures around children?s self-esteem and how to connect those procedures with theorists as Erikson, Maslow and Sommer.

Vad säger litteraturen samt barn själva om deras sociala betydelse i den fria leken? Hur fungerar samspel, vänskap och vilka känslor finns med när barn leker? Vi tycker det är intressant och kommer att belysa detta utifrån vår problemprecisering, vilken betydelse har den fria leken för barns samspel? För att ta reda på detta har vi använt oss av kvalitativ metod genom intervjuer och videoinspelningar som vi har gjort tillsammans med barn i åldrarna fyra och fem år. I resultatet kan vi se hur viktig den fria leken är för barns sociala utveckling och hur samspelet fungerar samt hur viktiga de sociala lekreglerna är för barn. Våra teoretiska grunder vilar på Fredrich Fröbel, Lev S Vygotskij och Erik H Erikson. Fröbel var en stor inspiratör till pedagogiken i förskolan och han lade en stor vikt vid leken.

The United States is one of few Western nations that administers capital punishment to their condemned criminals. Texas has executed the most inmates of any state in the U.S. This prompted questions about the psychological characteristics of death row inmates. The purpose of this essay is to widen the perspective on inmates serving capital sentences by analyzing their final statements. The focus of this essay was centered on acute anxiety of death among inmates, visible in their final statements, as a result of an accelerated process of dying.

Arbetet är en litteraturstudie över fyra olika teorier om klasser, nämligen Marx, Weber, Erikson och Goldthorpe samt Wrights teori om klasser. Teorierna beskrevs, jämfördes med varandra samt utvärderades utifrån deras förmåga att nå upp till den vetenskapsteoretiska läran falsifikationismens ideal. För att förklara materialet användes diskursanalys där avsikten var att se hur senare texter om klass byggde på tidigare ? d.v.s. diskursiva praktiker.

Dagens ungdomar ställs inför många val som kommer att ha inverkan på deras liv. Gymnasievalet är bara ett av alla dessa val, men också ett bland de största. Från skolors och myndigheters sida gör vi ingen skillnad på de sökande. Det förutsätts att alla hanterar valet på samma förnuftiga sätt. Psykologin visar dock att det finns stora skillnader på individers sätt att hantera val beroende på hur vår mognad ser ut. Syftet med mitt arbete var att försöka finna de faktorer som ligger bakom elevernas val av gymnasieprogram.

Syftet med denna studie är att se hur pedagogerna förhåller sig till lek och hur de agerar i den. Studien tar upp olika lekteorier där bland annat Piaget, Erikson, Vygotskij och Bateson nämns. Den tar även upp pedagogens roll i leken där den vuxne är barnets första lekkamrat, pedagogen som bekräftar och skyddar leken, som tar en roll och som avbryter leken. Metoden för datainsamlingen var observationer och ostrukturerade intervjuer. Urvalet bestod av sex pedagoger på en förskola i södra Sverige.

AbstractBackground: Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide and accounted for 7.6 million deaths, about 13% of all deaths, in 2008. Several factors can affect patients' quality of life such as physical and psychological symptoms, relationship to people around and the environment. In palliative care professionals need to have good knowledge in order to improve patient quality of life and to give them as good a life as possible in the final stages of life.Aim: The purpose of this overview study is to describe the experiences of quality of life in patients with incurable cancer.Method: We conducted an overview study that was based on ten scientific articles. All articles are qualitative studies, from the year 1995 - 2011, and are from Sweden, Finland, UK, Canada and the USA. Qualitative analysis was used to group the various themes and subthemes for overview study purpose.

The purpose of this study has been to examine how elderly people in today?s society look upon themselves and experience their own aging. We have inquired answers to the following main questions: What main events during the life course are emphasized in the elderly?s stories about their lives, and in what way has it affected their experience of growing old? In what way have social relationships, interests and the experience of health changed during the life course? How do the elderly experience their own aging, and what emotions are expressed in the speech surrounding their life course? The results of the study have been analyzed and interpreted with the help of the life course theory, Erikson?s psychosocial development theory and the continuity theory. The results show that elderly people of today don?t feel their age.

Qualitative and quantitative articles were analyzed. Six themes were identified that can be seen as the factors that influence nurses' assessment and measurement. The themes were   pain education, nurses´ experience in the profession, nurses´ level of knowledge about pain relief, documentation about pain, nurse´s perspective on the patient, and pain measurement.

 In this essay our starting point was the question:? How youth experience their ongoing sojourn in the resource school?? We did a qualitative study with interviews. We interviewed totally eight youth with different backgrounds. The head question was youth´s positive and negative experiences about ongoing sojourn in the resource school compared with their home school. In the result, we came until that most of the youth were pleased with their sojourn in the resource school.

Syftet med studien var att studera och undersöka hur lärare i ämnena hem- och konsumentkunskap samt svenska arbetar och förhåller sig till elever med bristande socioemotionell kompetens, både i undervisningssituationer samt i betygsättning. Den empiriska undersökningen genomfördes genom kvalitativa intervjuer med sex yrkesverksamma lärare. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna för studien grundades utifrån Vygotskijs sociokulturella perspektiv, Erikson och det sociala sammanhangets betydelse samt Antonovskys känsla av sammanhang. Resultatet har visat att lärarna är väl medvetna hur de delar in elever med bristande socioemotionell kompetens vid olika gruppindelningar. Vidare visar resultatet att en elevs bristande socioemotionella kompetens kan bidra med ett icke godkänt betyg..
