Simplicity, intimacy, freedom and one single threadcharacterize the knitting technique.In my project, I have studied ways of creating three-dimensional shape and structure using single threads and various knitting techniques. I applied my ideas in a collaboration with the singer Sofia Karlsson. The focus has been to design a portable object that can be used in pictures for the cover and promotion of her upcoming album.The material I studied, processed and used in creating the three-part object was linen. In the center stands a collar, that changes expression depending on how it is worn and which side is turned towards the outside. The collar interacts with a cylinder for her hands and a hairnet.

The field of coping has become more developed during the past decades but there is still a lot to be discovered and discussed. Theories of developmental psychology describe the possibility to map a general developmental structure of how the human mind expands. The aim of this study is to contribute to further research in whether there is a reason why we cope the way we do in relation to age. The questions answered in this study was, what coping two girls, whom lived during the Holocaust, used and how the coping found, were possible to interpret from theories of developmental psychology. In order to answer the questions asked a method called Template Analysis Style and three different theories have been applied.

Idag råder en hälsotrend vilket har lett till att det efterfrågas mer hälsosamma livsmedel än tidigare och detta skapar nya möjligheter för livsmedelsföretagen. Ica är den första livsmedelskedjan som har pågående hälsotrenden. Detta arbete beskriver hur Ica har tagit fram Gott liv och hur Ica har gått tillväga för att skapa en medvetenhet kring dessa produkter. Dessutom redogör arbetet för om budskapet har nått fram till konsumenterna, om det stimulerar dem till köp samt hur de uppfattar Gott liv. Arbetet grundar sig på en intervju med Icas dietist Christina Karlsson samt en konsumentundersökning med 100 deltagande konsumenter.

The purpose of this paper is to examine and to analyze the arguments about a possible Swedish law against the veil. I have therefore highlighted how notions about the veil creates and reproduces power-structures and meaning-systems. I structured the arguments in a pro et contra schedule and then analyzed them by using a theoretical framework consisting post-colonial feminism, orientalism, multi-culture and intersectionality together with research produced by Joan Wallach Scott (2010), Pia Karlsson Minganti (2007) and Anne Sofie Roald (2003). The results of the study shows that the people who either argue for or against a veil-law agree that the veil is an oppression of women and that it must be resisted. To be objective in the discussion of the veil seems to be impossible and the women it affects deprived voice.

With this master thesis I wanted to find out whether Erik Fichtelius, an SVT employee, interview project with prime minister Göran Persson is acceptable according to the public service ideology. In order to do that I used Swedish newspaper articles to analyse the so called Fichtelius affair. I also gathered material on SVT and the public service ideology. The master thesis is based on sociologist Manuel Castells theories on mass media and television as presented in the Information Age. Castells claims that in our time different areas, such as politics and television, are melting together.

Självframställning handlar om att konstruera identitet i text. Författaren använder olika strategier för att minnas och att konstruera sig själv och sitt själv i en berättande text. I den här uppsatsen har jag analyserat hur den politiska identiteten skapas i socialdemokratiska memoarer. Undersökningen har visat att berättelserna hålls samman av ett antal karakteristiska teman och berättarstrukturella mönster.För det första kan sägas att självframställningarna förefaller vara en förlängning av politikerrollen. Ett tydligt exempel på detta är hur barndomen betraktas med politikerblicken.

The objective of this project was to develop the visual identityof Halleluja, a brand new booking agency representing approximatelytwenty minor artists within a wide range of contemporarymusic styles.The outcome has been applied to business cards and awebsite yet to be produced. To attract the audience and differentiateitself from other booking companies, Halleluja featuresa minimalist design that speaks of dedication, breadth ofgenres and exclusive taste. Although my sketches have beenapproved by Lars Olsson and Erik Sundfeldt, the co-foundersof Halleluja, I have had the privilege of working quite freely andstarting from scratch, since there was no earlier work done onthe company.Some of the issues I have faced during my process wasabout finding the right tone of voice in type and colour, ordealing with the semantics of the corporate name (meaning»praise the Lord«). En effektiv råvaruanvändning är viktig för att uppnå lönsamhet, särskilt då råvarukostnaden är den enskilt största kostnadsposten för flera skogsindustrier. Vidare kan inköp av skogsråvara med önskade egenskaper leda till lägre produktionskostnader, högre utbyte och ett högre kundvärde genom bättre produkter till konkurrenskraftigare priser. Fördelaktigare råvaruinköp skulle därmed kunna bidra till ökad konkurrenskraft. Moelven Vänerply AB genomför ett omfattande effektiviseringsarbete där bl.a. ökad kunskap om timmerråvarans inverkan på produktionskostnaderna samt utbytet av slutprodukter eftersträvas. Kunskapen skulle kunna öppna upp möjligheter till fördelaktigare råvaruinköp genom att den bäst lämpade råvaran premieras medan sämre lämpad råvara undviks eller köps in till ett pris anpassat till de merkostnader råvaran orsakar. Examensarbetets syfte är att utveckla en kalkylmodell för Moelven Vänerply AB, som utifrån kundernas betalningsvilja för slutprodukten, den egna industrins kostnader och råvarans egenskaper beräknar företagets betalningsförmåga för timmerråvaran.

Uppsatsen handlar om spelet Memory där vi utgår från vissa regler som gör det möjligt att räkna sannolikheter av olika strategier. Vi använder oss av 2 strategier, säker och vågad strategi, för att utifrån olika positioner i spelet beräkna hur många par en spelare kan förväntas få. Vi gör en jämförelse mellan strategierna och undersöker vilken strategi är bäst att använda sig av i olika lägen i spelet. Det vi har gjort i vårt arbete är att utveckla ErikAlfthans [1] grundidé, att spelarna har oändligt minne och att spelet bara innehåller par. Där har vi gjort två förgreningar där den ena handlar om att spelarna har begränsat minne.

Uppsatsen jämför de båda svenska översättningarna av JRR Tolkiens Lord of the Rings: Åke Ohlmarks Sagan om ringen från 1959 och Erik Anderssons Ringens brödraskap från 2004. Syftet är att se vilken översättning som är närmast originalet och författarens intentioner. Genom att jämföra olika uttryck ges en konkret bild av vilken översättning som mest överensstämmer med Tolkiens originaltext. Dessutom tas olika aspekter på översättande i allmänhet upp, likväl som vilka specifika svårigheter som finns i översättandet av bokens olika konstruerade språk. Min slutsats är att Ringens brödraskap är mest trogen originalet och att läsaren i den får mer eget tolkningsuttrymme..
