Fondsparandet har länge varit den dominerande sparformen i Sverige. Totalt ägnar sig hela 74 procent av Sveriges befolkning åt aktivt fondsparande, och andelen blir högre vid pensionssparande. Tendensen är tydlig, svenskar ägnar sig allt mindre åt att själva äga aktier och har i stället överlåtit sparandet till banker och fondförvaltare. Storleken på en aktiefond har stor betydelse för vilken strategi en förvaltare väljer. Tidigare studier har funnit att det finns skillnader mellan förvaltad fondförmögenhet, avkastning och risktagande.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att utvärdera två landskapsindex: ett formindex som beräknar formen för varje markanvändningsyta ( eng. "patch"); ett diversitetsindex, som beskriver de olika markanvändningarnas relativa utbredning. Formindexet beräknas på två olika sätt, beroende på om dess storleksberoende inkluderas eller ej. Utvärderingen körs för ett landskap på cirka 50 km2, men även för tre mindre områden i landskapet: åkerbygd, mellanbygd samt skogs-bygd. This study is based on a statistical analysis of fundamental key ratios on the Stockholm Stock Exchange during the period 2004-2012. In total 35 financial ratios of 90 companies were tested, ultimately five ratios remained within the 5% significance level. These ratios were ROA, P/B, Total Yield, EV/EBIT and Operating Margin. A custom made investment model was created based on the purpose to achieve a risk-adjusted excess return. The results in general did not show any significant difference in return between the model's portfolio and index.

The aim of the study was to examine how substance abuse influences social relationships to families, friends and others. Five ex addicts in a treatment centre were interviewed. We used thematic interviews with themes that we regarded as relevant for our study. In the analysis we applied the theoretical concept of symbolic interactionism. Theories of emotions also helped us to explain feelings that arise in the social relationships.

Vi möter i denna uppsats kvinnor som successivt förändrar vår bild av det dubbla straffet, som komplicerar vår uppfattning om ett liv i missbruksberoende och livet på kvinnoanstalt, men som också förenklar föreställningen om den djupa kärleken de hyser för sina barn. Eftersom dessa mödrar har arbetat en hel del med sig själva och tagit sig ur långa perioder av beroende har vi fått känna av den kraft som lösgörs då en människa verkar inom någonting hon brinner för. Att hjälpa andra och att tillåta sig själv att ta emot hjälp har guidat denna berättelse kring människans förmåga att resa sig och gå vidare. Det faktum att kärleken tycks verka sida vid sida med den skuldtyngda problematiken har väckt vårt intresse och diskuteras genom texten som en löpande röd tråd. Genom att låta de individuella känslorna möta sociologiska teorier vidgas perspektivet till en vinkel som berör såväl makro som mikronivå i samhället.

The purpose of this study was to investigate and expand the knowledge of how bereaved spouses in palliative care handled their grief. Attempts were also made to distinguish common patterns among the experiences that the bereaved spouses expressed.  Furthermore the study aimed to understand how the bereaved spouses handled their grief, and to understand what helped them to move on. A qualitative method was used in this essay, related to the purpose of investigating the spouses? emotional experiences. The questions used to reach an understanding of the matter were: How did the bereaved experienced their grief? Were there important contributing factors worsening their grief or making it easier? How did the bereaved persons handle their grief, and what helped them to work things through and carry on with their lives? The result was analyzed by using Antonovsky?s theory; a feeling of coherence, Lazarus? coping theory combined with Folkman?s revised coping theory.

Engineers are a group of individuals who are attractive when companies are in need for competence in technology. Today it is a shortage of these competences in the labor market. Because of this there has grown a competition among companies when they strive to recruit the best engineers. Therefore companies spend more resources on marketing themselves as an attractive employer. This study was set out to find what engineers think is an attractive employer through a demographic perspective.

Modern forestry requires a high degree of machine traffic for clear felling and scarification operations. The machines most frequently used are big and the traffic often results in tracks on the forest ground. There are many small streams running through a forest, in connection to logging operations, machines might cross these frequently. These crossings could result in the erosion of fine particulate inorganic matter, which ends up in the stream. The aim of this thesis was to give a general description of small forest streams of order-one in the county of Värmland and to determine the frequency of machine tracks in small streams.

Hur kan sponsring stärka ett företags varumärke och vilka skillnaderoch likheter finns det mellan hur tjänsteföretag och producerandeföretag använder sig av sponsring i syfte att stärka varumärket?Syftet är att studera hur företag använder sig av sponsring i avsikt att stärkavarumärket samt identifiera skillnader och likheter mellantjänsteföretags och producerande företags sponsringsverksamheter.En tvärsnittsstudie har genomförts på fyra fallföretag. Primärdatansamlades in genom semistrukturerade personliga intervjuer.Den teoretiska referensramen baseras på vår modifieradeundersökningsmodell, AEGM-modellen, som är utformad utifrånbefintliga teorier inom ämnesområdena varumärke och sponsring.Empiri i form av presentation av de undersökta företagens sponsringsverksamhet ochintervjupersonernas syn på hur företagen använder sponsring i syfteatt stärka varumärket.Slutsats: Det förefaller skillnader, men även många likheter, mellan hurtjänsteföretag och producerande företag använder sig av sponsring.Ett varumärke kan stärkas med hjälp av sponsring, exempelvis genomatt kunden involveras i arrangemanget och att sponsringenkombineras med andra marknadsföringsaktiviteter..

This essay examines the limits of marketing strategies in the online casino industry, focusing on how data-driven and advanced marketing practices influence consumer behavior and contribute to problematic gambling consumption. By observing the online casino industry, the study identifies how companies use sophisticated data analysis methods and psychological techniques to attract and retain customers, raising significant ethical and social issues. The study highlights three key perspectives: the consumer's, the producer's, and the legislator's. From the consumer's perspective, it explores how various consumer behaviors, from responsible gambling to problematic overconsumption, are influenced by marketing and gaming experiences. This includes an analysis of how cognitive limitations and psychological biases can lead to irrational decisions and an increased risk of gambling addiction. From the producer's perspective, it examines how gambling companies use marketing strategies and technologies to increase profitability and what incentives they have to take social responsibility according to modern Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) principles. It appears that companies do not see CSR as a business goal beyond the risk of current and future regulatory compliance requirements and policy changes. From the legislator's viewpoint, the current regulatory framework for the gambling industry is discussed, including the changes that occurred in 2019 when the special monopoly form we had in Sweden was transformed into a license market.

Denna undersökning behandlar frågan om vilka faktorer som påverkar nedskrivningen av goodwill. Vi har valt tre faktorer utifrån redan existerande teorier och ställt upp hypoteser kring dessa med syfte till att kunna hitta samband mellan de och nedskrivning av goodwill. De undersökta faktorerna är lågkonjunktur, VD-byte och negativt resultat och urvalet av företag är hämtat från OMX Stockholm index för perioden 2006-2008. Företagens årsredovisningar har analyserats för att få fram nödvändig empiri och sedan har chi2- och Fisher-test utförts för att kunna testa trovärdigheten hos hypoteserna. The construction of an identity among lesbian women during 1950-­?1965 is in focus in this master ?s thesis. My starting point is that identity, such as lesbian or any other identity, is formed in relation to other people and groups, as well as society. This thesis will also examine how lesbian women met and formed bonds with like-­minded, and whether these aspects changed, during the defined time period. The empirics is made up by letters written by women to Riksfo?rbundet fo?r sexuellt likabera?ttigande (a Swedish organisation for lesbian and gays) as well as an interview with two lesbian women who were born in 1938 and 1940.
