Det fria ordets makt: En kvantitativ studie om effekten av kommentarer i anslutning till artiklar på nyhetssajter. Vad händer när elektronisk w-o-m blandas med traditionell pr?
This thesis treats the topic of user-generated comments connected with news stories on news sites, meaning electronic word-of-mouth combined with PR. The writers have examined how different types of comments affect consumers' perception of the article and also what communication effects these comments generate in terms of attitudes, purchase intent and word-of-mouth intent. The results interesting to the news site owners, is that lots of comments and negative comments generate a negative effect by making the actual article less credible, attractive and worth reading (relative to the subsequent comments). On the positive side, serious comments imply that the news story is perceived as more interesting, than a news story followed by non-serious comments. From a brand equity perspective, the interesting results show that few comments compared to lots of comments, generate a better attitude to the brand, even though there is no difference in how positive or negative the comments are.

Marknadsföring av människor : En studie kring personliga varumärken med utgångspunkt i traditionell teori om varumärkesbyggande
I denna uppsats undersökte vi fenomenet personligt varumärkesbyggande, vilket kan definieras som en persons namn och de värderingar som kopplas till det. Syftet med uppsatsen var att utifrån befintlig teori samt intervjuer med yrkesverksamma inom området, undersöka om det går att bygga personliga varumärken på samma sätt som traditionella varumärken för företag och produkter. Vi presenterade en översikt över litteraturen kring personligt varumärkesbyggande samt teori om Customer-based brand equity-modellen, vilken vi lät representerade den traditionella teorin. I uppsatsens analysavsnitt diskuterades och analyserades intervjudeltagarnas svar i förhållande till teorin och slutsatsen drogs att personligt varumärkesbyggande har fler likheter än skillnader med det traditionella varumärkesbyggandet. Dock ansåg vi att CBBE-modellen ej var lämplig för direkt applikation på människor, utan presenterade en reviderad modell för byggande av ett starkt personligt varumärke, där bland annat möjligheter med sociala medier inkluderades.

The thesis aims to examine the occurrence of Earnings Management (EM) preceding Seasoned Equity Offerings (SEOs) on the Swedish capital market. EM refers to activities and adjustments carried out by managers. The underlying purpose of these actions is to adjust net income. The procedure is typically done by borrowing income from future periods. Evidence of EM around SEOs has been documented on capital markets around the world, and the effects on firms' post-offering performance are severe.

This essay describes the Swedish furniture business and its strong competition between domestic and foreign producers. As the demand on higher development speed grows stronger, alongside a fierce competition between the companies, long lasting and unique qualities such as customer relations and strong brand names become crucial. Nowadays many furniture producers chose to sell their products through retailers and they therefore miss out on invaluable direct contact with their customers. Consequently, this means that they lack the perquisite to build relations or more importantly, to communicate their brand.To illustrate the problem a case study and a survey have been carried out. The study compares the strategic marketing works between producers who have own concept stores and those who uses retailers.

The purpose of this study is to examine what characterizes brand identity and positioning regarding festivals on the current Swedish festival market. In relation to our purpose we are also going to analyze how festival attendees relate to a festivals brand identity. Our empirical foundation is built on a rich content based on personal interviews.
Varumärkesvärdering : - Ett skott från höften?
Bakgrund: År 2010 infördes ISO 10668, en standard som skulle öka transparensen och kvaliteten i varumärkesvärderingar. Trots standarden så skiljer det idag miljardbelopp på kända varumärken mellan olika värderingsaktörer, något som talar för att det fortfarande finns en problematik kring värderingar. En nyhet som kom i och med standarden var den beteendemässiga aspekten där hänsyn ska tas till kunders uppfattningar, kännedom och associationer gentemot ett varumärke. Standarden uttrycker dock inte specifikt hur värderare ska beakta denna aspekt vid en värdering.Syfte: Studien syftar till att analysera hur kunderna beaktas som en del av varumärkets värde vid en värdering. Dessutom kommer studien beskriva varumärkesvärderingens betydelse utifrån olika aktörers befattningar, samt analysera eventuella skillnader och svårigheter i deras tillvägagångssätt vid värderingar.Metod: För att uppnå syftet har vi använt oss av en abduktiv forskningsansats och tillämpat ett kvalitativt tillvägagångssätt.
Ompositionering - en studie av konsumenters uppfattningar
Avgörande för ett företags framgång är att genom varumärken differentiera sig från konkurrenters alternativ på marknaden. I samband med ett varumärke är positionering i konsumenters medvetande en viktig aspekt då varumärkets position avspeglar konsumenters uppfattningar. Med uppsatsen avser vi undersöka hur en ompositionering av ett varumärke kan påverka konsumenters uppfattningar. Vi analyserar ompositioneringens påverkan med hjälp av att utveckla immateriella dimensioner av brand equity som varumärkesmedvetenhet, upplevd kvalitet och märkesassociationer. Vi har valt att uppfylla syftet genom att använda oss av ett fallföretag.

The purpose with this thesis is to analyze different ways to establish such agreements.A capital contribution can be triggered by a call-off from the board of directors to the contributor, or automatically, when the shareholders? equity falls below 50 percent of the registered capital stock. As stocks have become a more common way for people to save their money, the range of financial information has had a substantial increase. To understand the assumptions that stock valuation and analysis are built upon, it is important for the reader to have an understanding for the models that are used by banks and institutions when recommendations are published.The cash flow model, which is the most commonly used stock valuation tool, is based on CAPM. This model describes the relationship between an assets return and its risk in relation to an index. The risk parameter is called the beta value and has grown to be the dominating risk factor within financial economics literature.The use of beta values has been widely discussed in the world of academics and some researchers claim that the degree of explanation brought about by the beta is so low that it should be discarded, others are faithful to the beta and believe that it still serves a purpose. As a result of this criticism other ways to calculate the beta have surfaced, models that take other factors of risk into consideration.

Sweden's school voucher reform has made the Swedish school system into one of the world's most liberalized. The debate concerning the ownership of Swedish schools is intense and the Swedish Minister of Education is open to restricting private equity owned companies from running schools. Interestingly, fewer calls are heard for restricting smaller profit-driven companies from owning schools. This essay aims to examine whether or not the quality of education provided by an individual school changes if it is acquired by a large private equity owned school group. This is done by conducting a comparative study on four independent schools recently acquired by AcadeMedia, Sweden's biggest private equity owned school group.

This thesis is based on design theory about how to build an application for the mobile platform, a scientific analysis and an application for grocery shopping and meal planning. The thesis also contains a valuation of the research and of the application. The valuation of the application was done by a usability test and an analysis of the results of the test.The application of the thesis has an easy navigation system, which is time saving and simple to use. Finding recipes with the associated ingredients is a quick fix. The search function can be used for searching freely after recipes as well as for separate ingredients. That makes it possible for the user to create own recipes from available ingredients.
