Denna studie syftar till att belysa elevperspektiv på språkintroduktionsprogrammet. Elevernas perspektiv är därmed kärnan i studien. Vikten ligger på elevernas uppfattning om sin tid på introduktionsprogrammet samt introduktionsprogrammets betydelse för elevernas framtida utbildningsval. Genomförandet av studien bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer vilket har skett genom semistrukturerade intervjuer utifrån en intervjuguide. Resultatet visar att eleverna är enade i sin syn på språkintroduktionsprogrammet och dess funktion för vidareutbildning.

The aim of the thesis is to find a deeper understanding and knowledge concerning the interpretation of racism as a phenomenon in the everyday life of children in the age of 12-13 years old. To achieve the aim of the thesis I have used parts of the phenomenographic theories as a methodological implement. The conclusions made are represented through four different themes. The first theme deals with the way children apply to verbal overtones of racism in their everyday language. The second theme is about how some children discuss thoughts on integration and assimilation as phenomenon.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the regulatory power, efficiency and impact of export control on Swedish arms export from the 1980s onwards, linked to the delegation of authority of permit license to the Inspectorate of Strategic Products in 1997. An increase in the administrative sector, based on a collective decision making process and established criteria and guidelines, aimed to strengthen the control of arms export to non-democratic and problematic states. In short, the aim of the study is to investigate and analyze whether there was a decrease in the arms export to problematic states or not. On one hand, it is reasonable to assume that the introduction of the new regulation entailed a more strict arms export policy. However, previous research has showed that regulations are sometimes not effective since incentives to breach these may be present.The study begins by examining the Swedish case and situation in terms of arms manufacturing and export, as well as the delegation of authority and legislation applied to the field over time.

The aim of this review is to assess the ethical implications of aquaculture, regarding fish welfare and environmental aspects. The aquaculture industry has grown substantially the last decades, both as a result of the over-fishing of wild fish populations, and because of the increasing consumer demand for fish meat. As the industry is growing, a significant amount of research on the subject is being conducted, monitoring the effects of aquaculture on the environment and on animal welfare. The areas of concern when it comes to animal welfare have here been divided into four different stages: breeding period; growth period; capturing and handling; and slaughter. Besides these stages, this report includes a chapter on the current evidence of fish sentience, since this issue is still being debated among biologists.

The Arctic region is rich in natural resources such as oil, gas, minerals and fish. Climate change causes the Arctic ice melt, making resource extraction possible as well as opening up new transport routes through the Northwest Passage and the Northeast Passage. This has led to competition and cross-border strife among the Arctic States. The two largest states in the Arctic are Russia and Canada, which are also members of the Arctic Council. Russia and Canada are at the moment involved in several disputes regarding the Arctic territory where the ownership of the North Pole is one example.

I denna studie beskriver vi hur det som tjej kan vara att leva i en hederskultur utifrån organisationers och kommunala tjänstemäns erfarenheter. Studien lyfter även fram de enskilda organisationernas och de kommunala tjänstemännens arbetssätt kring förändrings-arbetet av hedersproblematiken. Hedersproblematiken är ett komplext socialt problem som kan vara svårt att hantera för de involverade i sitt arbete. Vid vår urvalsprocess hade vi i förväg kriteriet att respondenterna skulle ha kommit i kontakt med tjejer som levt eller lever i en hederskultur och på något sätt jobbat med dessa. Studien har sin grund i en kvalitativ metod där intervjuer har utgjort studiens insamling av empiri.

Den problembild som denna uppsats uppmärksammar är den att studenter vid Luleå tekniska universitet i hög utsträckning väljer att flytta från Luleå efter avslutade studier. Syftet med denna uppsats är att utvärdera Luleå kommuns policy gentemot studenterna vid Luleå tekniska universitet (LTU) för att dels undersöka om policyn grundas på migrationsteori, samt om målet med policyn uppnås. I uppsatsen kommer Vedungs interventionsteori att användas som redskap för att synligöra hur kommunens policy är tänkt att fungera. Vid undersökningen av hur policyn är konstruerad kommer Luleå kommuns policy, migrationsteori och studenters åsikter att sättas samman med interventionsteori som grund för att visa hur de olika delarna är tänkt att påverka varandra för att policyn ska få väntat resultat. Den metod som använts är dels en litteraturstudie angående ämnet migration för att undersöka vilka faktorer som påverkar människor att flytta eller stanna.

När en grupp utvecklare jobbar med samma kodbas kan konflikter uppstå med avseende på implementationen av moduler eller delsystem som varje utvecklare individuellt jobbar på. Dessa konflikter måste snabbt lösas för att projektet ska fortskrida och inte stagnera. Utvecklare som sällan kommunicerar framför ofta okompatibla moduler eller delsystem som kan vara svåra eller omöjliga att integrera i kodbasen, detta leder ofta till s.k. ?integration hell? där det kan ta väldigt lång tid att anpassa ny kod till en befintlig kodbas. En strategi som man kan ta till är ?continuous integration?, ett arbetssätt som erbjuder en rad fördelar när man jobbar i grupp på en gemensam kodbas.

In today's society it has become increasingly important for organizations to take into account non-financial values. Sustainability reporting involves reporting the economic, social and environmental aspects of an organization's operations. The trend has been towards an all the more scrutinizing society with an increasing demand for transparency and translucency. A greater focus on environmental issues has also contributed to sustainability?s increasing importance as a topic.

In this study, I intend to examine some aspects of the activities of cultural companies in the town of Arvika. The study is qualitative in nature and based on in-depth interviews with self-employed cultural workers, as well as representatives from Arvika municipality. Cultural policy documents have been studied to clarify the self-employed status in the cultural sector and thus their importance to the cultural life in Arvika overall.My hope is to get a glimpse of what it means to work as a self-employed within the cultural sector in Arvika and the conditions that exist, in order to successfully run and develop their businesses.There is a shift in cultural policy, which has led to permanent forms of employment becoming fewer and self-employment to grow ( Karlsson & Lekvall, 6 ). One can say that the cultural sector has moved in the direction from a public matter, to the more privatized ( Köping , Lantz & Stenström, 3 ). The problem with this is that the policy of self-employment has not progressed at the same rate as the amount of business.

This study analyzes how the Swedish climate policy has changed during the years 1990-2008. Thisis done through a comparative analysis of three climate bills that were developed during this period.With a constructivist approach, and theories about discursive indicators and discursive fields,discursive changes in the bills' content are identified. The results show that changes have occurredin how the problem is described, how the issue is framed, which problem solutions that areadvocated, which legitimizing arguments and key concepts that are used and the extent of theknowledge that the bills are based upon. The conclusions drawn from the results describe adiscursive change between the bills in the form of a shift from a discourse that in a greater extentadvocates active policy responses, based on ethical arguments about fairness towards othercountries and caution towards the environment, to a discourse that more often favor market actionsbased on arguments about the economic viability of Sweden..

The essay?s main focus has been to investigate and analyze the political actions behind the 2015?s grade compromise; an agreement to introduce grades from the fourth year in primary school. Through a game-theory analysis, mainly based in Leif Lewin?s and Jörgen Herman's research on rationality in politics, this study examined the grade debate  during a fifteen year period. The primary task has thereby been to explain the grade compromise through game-theory.

Inledning: Såväl politiker, som media och många andra kritiserar undervisningen av svenska för invandrare (SFI) kraftigt, det diskuteras att invandrarna inte lär sig svenska i önskvärd omfattning och integrationen av de nyinkomna går dåligt. Studien har därför velat undersöka dessa frågor SFI-deltagarnas syn på andraspråksinlärning och deras integration.Syfte: Studien avser att undersöka vad SFI-deltagare anser om SFI:s medverkan till integration och andraspråksinlärning i det svenska samhället.Forskningsfrågor: 1. Vilka diskurser framträder i SFI-deltagarnas konstruktioner av vi och de andra?2. Vad är SFI-deltagarnas syn på SFI:s medverkan till deras integration i samhället?3. Hur har SFI konkret bidragit till SFI-deltagarnas integration, avseende t ex arbete, vänner, kontakter, studieframgång, boende och skola?Metod: Diskursanalys enligt diskurspsykologisk metod.Teori: Den här studien har sin teoretiska förankring i socialkonstruktionism med influenser av postkolonial teori och kritisk teori.Resultat: Antagandet var att bristande språkkunskaper skapar segregation och omvänt, vilket besannades. Sammanfattningsvis kan sägas att informanterna uttryckte en massiv kritik av SFI:s förmåga att hjälpa dem med integrationen och att de även var kritiska mot praktik och arbete och mot den språkträning som de då fick. Men de är inte enbart kritiska till SFI-undervisningen, de ser även positiva effekter av undervisningen.

The report describes an ecodesign thesis performed by the author at the ÅF EcoDesign Center. The basic idea of ecodesign is to develop products with a minimized environmental load, without neglecting other significant product aspects such as function and price. During the last couple of years the public interest in environmental friendly products has increased, which has made it possible for companies to make a profit from their investments in ecodesign. To meet the increasing market for ecodesign services ÅF started the ÅF EcoDesign Center, where the company has gathered all of their competence in ecodesign in order to help companies to become greener. The task was to develop a tool for an Eco Screening.

Körskador i samband med skogsbruk är ett problem. År 2012 togs en branschgemensam policy fram, som innehöll definitioner och rekommendationer för undvikande av allvarliga körskador. Studier har visat att attityder, kunskap och samsyn är viktiga faktorer för att minska körskador. Målet var att belysa hur väl Skogssällskapets policy angående körskador har förmedlats från tjänstemän till maskinförare, samt att undersöka hur kommunikation kring, attityder till och samsyn om körskador ser ut hos maskinförare, produktionsledare och skogsförvaltare. Semi-strukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med 4 maskinförare och 5 tjänstemän. Sedan gjordes en kvantitativ undersökning genom en mejlenkät till 89 maskinförare, 15 produktionsledare och 34 skogsförvaltare, med total svarsfrekvens 36 %.
