The exposed position of a social worker entails serious demands to their working Environment. The experience of the working Environment is coherent with various circumstances such as physical, technical and psychosocial factors. The aim of this study is to investigate how social workers in Gotland experience their psychosocial working Environment. As a theoretical ground we describe the working Environment regulations and it´s framework. Previous national and international research enlighten issues such as definitions of threat and violence, the significance of education and policys within social work, social support and riskfactors.

The aim of this study is to look at the Environmental effect on toddlers? social interactions during free play in two older and two newer preschools. Furthermore, we would like to investigate four preschool teachers? thoughts about the indoor Environment when it comes to toddlers? interaction during free play.Qualitative methods containing interviews of the preschool teachers and observations of the children during their free playtime have been used to help us reach our conclusions. In addition, our theoretical conclusions have been derived from both the sociocultural perspective and the Environmental psychology perspective.Our results have shown that variations in the preschool Environment are of importance in the outcome of toddlers? different social interactions.

The main question of this study is about how reorganizations influence on the mental social working Environment for chiefs in municipal care. We want to find out how chiefs experience their mental social working Environment in a reorganization. The method we used was a qualitative method. We interviewed eight chiefs in municipal care. The purpose of this study was to make a survey of a larger company in Sweden to analyze if it complied to the stipulated Systematic Work Environment Management rules in Sweden. The company chosen was Hennes & Mauritz. The key question was to see if the company was examining and judging the risks, developing handling plans and if they were making yearly follow ups so that problems could be attended to. Further, I also wanted to examine if there was lack of competence within different departments as well as give some substantiate proposals on educations in Systematic Work Environment Management. The method used to investigate this was interviews and observations on how the Systematic Work Environment Management was handled in the company.

Today?s construction buildings contain more advanced technologies than before. Train travel has increased in Sweden, and future increase of train transports putdemands on the already vastly exploited railroad net. The increased need of capacitycan be seen in the ongoing and planned expansions of the railway track. One part ofthe railroad infrastructure which is affected by an increase of travellers is the design ofthe station platform. Since the platform is the place where the traveller meets thetrain, dangerous situations can occur in this Environment. A number of studies focuson single safety risks, albeit there is no research to show the full picture of safety inthe platform Environment.This study aims to treat and put together a compilation of risks for the traveller in theplatform Environment in the form of a checklist, which can be used as support inplanning and design of a safer platform Environment for existing or planned platforms.The thesis has, through case studies of five ongoing projects within the NationalRailroad Administration (Banverket), interviews with train company personnel andinternational railroad administrators, identified and treated safety (and security) risksin the platform Environment.The conclusion of the study is that the relations between the traveller, the physicalplatform Environment and the project organisation are important to explore andexploit when designing effective safety measures.

Nearly 50 years after the building of the first million programme neighbourhoods many Swedish municipalities faces an extensive restoration work in these neighbourhoods which during their relatively short lifetime have acted as a target for a large amount of criticism. Öster in Gävle is a million programme neighbourhood that has gone through an extensive restoration between 2001-2009 with the aim of improving the living Environment. AbstractThe aim of this study was to illuminate and collect existing research from the beginning of the 21 st century about nurses work Environment in institutional and elderly care in Sweden.A literature review was made by analyzing eleven scientific articles. The result showed mainly information about nurses work load. The information dealt with high work demands, too much responsibility, shortage of staff, time press and stress. Furthermore nurses reported a lack of co-operation between staff and management. An important part in nurses? work was appreciation from colleagues, management, patients and relatives.
