Background: Of those who start companies, only about 30 % are women. Women's companies also often have both fewer employees and lower turnover. Several efforts are therefore being made to try to influence and encourage more women to start businesses and to get them to expand. Two of these ventures are special network for women and about women Entrepreneurs as role models, something that also the theories believe is very important for a more egalitarian business. While Entrepreneurship is encouraged for growth in the community, it also has a male character, something that needs to be considered.Purpose: As both the EU and the Swedish government through measures such as Tillväxtverket, is investing large sums to promote networking and role models, we intended to analyze the importance of networking and role models for Entrepreneurial women.

Introduction: How to implement and integrate cultural aspects in strategy making and planning in order for cities and regions to reap both social and economic benefits has been widely discussed in recent years. This method of working with culture, both as an economic, as well as an identity strengthening tool has come to be labeled as cultural planning. But in order for these ideas about cultural projects and institutions to become a reality, something has to be done. This is where the Entrepreneur enters.The Glass Factory, a newly opened cultural establishment in the heart of the Glass Kingdom in Småland, Sweden, became the subject of empirical investigation for this paper. As this originally was an initiative from Emmaboda municipality the planning and start-up procedure could be viewed as a cultural planning process.

För entreprenörer som arbetar med projekt i en "start up"- fas kan det vara svårt att lyckas med finansieringen. Detta beror på att det inte finns någon ekonomisk historik att visa upp för finansiärerna. För att lyckas få in tillräckligt med kapital för att kunna finansiera ett projekt kan man vända sig till olika typer av investerare. De vanligaste sättet är att man antingen vänder sig till banker, venture capital-bolag eller affärsänglar. Vad som motiverar dessa aktörer är olika, men det gemensamma för dessa aktörer är att det är svårt att få dem att investera i ett projekt.Under senare tid har det dock skapats ett nytt sätt för entreprenörer att få in kapital till sina projekt.

This is a 20 points graduation thesis, performed at the Department of Urban and Rural Development at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala. The main aim of this thesis is to examine what it is like to combine studying with working and starting your own company. Furthermore, I want to be able to convey this knowledge to others. An important part of being a landscape architect is informing people, and making rather abstract issues tangible. The word 'Entrepreneur' is originally French. Today, we think of Entrepreneurs, or contractors, as energetic people, who dare to try new ideas. There are many reasons why people start their own company, but the most common ones are the wish to fulfil oneself and to be able to plan one's own time.

Fornföreningen Fibula on the Aland Islands contacts the author because its members want to create a museum.The purpose of this two years master?s thesis in Archive, Library and Museum studies is to shed light on what a museum really is. The research question I have answered is ?what is a museum and is this what Fibula really wants in their reconstructed Viking village??. Based on interview material, ethnographic field studies, relevant research in the subject and documents from Fibula, I have answered the research question.

Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva legitimerade arbetsterapeuters erfarenheter av att driva eget företag inom ramen för arbetsterapi och visa vilka möjligheter det finns med att vara arbetsterapeut och egenföretagare.För studien valdes en kvalitativ ansats med semistrukturerade intervjuer som datainsamlingsmetod. Sex arbetsterapeuter verksamma med eget företag intervjuades. Det insamlade materialet analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys varpå det framkom fem kategorier.Resultatet visar att den breda kompetensen som arbetsterapeuter besitter ger möjligheter att driva företag och erbjuda tjänster inom flera olika områden. Deltagarna lyfter nyttan av tidigare erfarenheter, friheten med att vara egenföretagare, samt egenskaper och kunskap som är till nytta i företagandet. Vidare beskriver deltagarna hur de marknadsför sig själva och sina företag, samt vikten av att ha ett nätverk, dels för att få råd och stöd, men även för att generera kunder.

One of the areas in which current theory on Entrepreneurship is ambiguous is in the explanation of how Entrepreneurs act when entering a new market. One author that has attempted to contribute in this area is Saras D. Sarasvathy who has tried to explain the Entrepreneurs reasoning through the theory of causation and effectuation. The former refers to a reasoning that takes the effect of an Entrepreneurial action as given, while the latter looks upon the effects as uncertain, while only the means are given. With a foundation in this theory, Sarasvathy claims that when Entrepreneurs enters a new market the level of environmental uncertainty is so high that reasoning based on causal relationships is rendered useless.

I Sverige blir det en alltmer globaliserad ekonomi, som leder till strukturförändringar i näringslivet. För att Sverige ska klara av den framtida tillväxten behövs fler företag startas. Företag är bra för samhället. Med inspiration från Gartner´s resonemang om att intresset inom entreprenörskap skall fokuseras på hur organisationen uppstår och bildas, är vårt syfte med uppsatsen att studera och klargöra faktorer som påverkar framväxten av entreprenörskap.

Forestry is increasing on an industrial scale where collection of logging residues takes a greater part. This has resulted in more machinery and heavy machinery driving in the clear felled area, this increases the risk of soil damage that will occur in the form of soil compacting and rutting in the clearings. This affecting on the nature in a negative way and especially in rivers and lakes that are affected by siltation and acidification leading to increased levels of heavy metals and methyl mercury. The purpose of this study was to investigate why there is damage to the ground when working with the slash in forest management from the forest officer point of view. A self-designed questionnaire was used and 45 questionnaires were sent out to various companies all over Sweden.

In this study, I intend to examine some aspects of the activities of cultural companies in the town of Arvika. The study is qualitative in nature and based on in-depth interviews with self-employed cultural workers, as well as representatives from Arvika municipality. Cultural policy documents have been studied to clarify the self-employed status in the cultural sector and thus their importance to the cultural life in Arvika overall.My hope is to get a glimpse of what it means to work as a self-employed within the cultural sector in Arvika and the conditions that exist, in order to successfully run and develop their businesses.There is a shift in cultural policy, which has led to permanent forms of employment becoming fewer and self-employment to grow ( Karlsson & Lekvall, 6 ). One can say that the cultural sector has moved in the direction from a public matter, to the more privatized ( Köping , Lantz & Stenström, 3 ). The problem with this is that the policy of self-employment has not progressed at the same rate as the amount of business.

Title: To make a living by library music; Opportunities and prerequisites. The purpose of this essay is to investigate how a music producer or composer can achieve placement of his or her music in commercials, TV-shows, computer games, and other media. What is required to make a living by composing and producing music today? This is a qualitative study made by interviewing six persons, who all in some way work with this kind of music. The result shows that in order to reach out and place the music, an active net working, a deep knowledge in music production, in a wide range of music genres, is crucial.

Within the fields of business as well as the academic, there is a growing interest for the role images play in an organized conception of the world. This paper acknowledges the relevance of such images and ideas, and its purpose is to examine the fixed ideas and conceptions of the world as they appear in a Swedish organizational context. The Swedish Trade Council is a hybrid organization between the state and private sector with an outspoken purpose of defining an image of the outside world for small and medium size enterprises in Sweden. The underlying question in focus for this study is: What central conceptions of the world appear in the Swedish Trade Council?s information films ?Världens möjligheter?? Within organizational studies, a postcolonial theory has to a large extent been overlooked.

Kan det då finnas kunskapsluckor hos Tomas Lindberg själv som har ett indirekt samband till dåliga försäljningssiffror? Vilken betydelse kan det ha för företagande och tillväxt om det finns skillnader mellan att vara en företagare eller entreprenör och uppfinnare eller innovatör? SyfteSyftet med studien är att undersöka problematiken en ensamföretagare kan ha med att skapa större intresse och acceptans kring sina produkter. VisionMed en vision att kunna komma med ett eller flera förslag på hur han kan gå vidare med sitt företag. MetodFörfattarna har i denna studie använt sig av en kvalitativ metod, genom att intervjua ägaren till företaget. Författarna har genom att göra olika analyser fått fram information till studiens empiri.

The purpose with this essay is to study the public support givers view of the concept innovation and to study how the public support givers discuss and act around the division of public support to Entrepreneurs innovations. The purpose is further to describe if the division of public support favour or not favour environmental innovations and to examine if the public support givers consider the industry for environmental innovations is profitable for the society?s economy.We have done several case studies where we have interviewed eight public support. Support givers in this essay are defined as public authorities and other organisations on local, national and/or international level that gives public support to innovations. The public support givers that take part of the essay is VINNOVA, ALMI Stockholm, Innovationsbron, Energimyndigheten, SU Holding AB, KTH Holding, Västra Götalandsregionen and MISTRA.Our theoretical starting point is Silverman and Baums theory ?Picking Winners or Building Them?.

Från 1918 och framåt har invandringsströmmen varit större än utvandringen i Sverige. Till följd av att invandringen har överstigit utvandringen de senaste 95 åren är detta en av faktorerna som har bidragit till folkökningen i Sverige. Den stigande folkökningen i Sverige har skapat en mer konkurrenskraftig arbetsmarknad, där efterfrågan av sysselsättning ökar men utbudet är begränsat. En del av de utrikes födda har haft svårighet att hitta sysselsättning under en längre period på grund av målgruppens begränsningar. För lösa denna problematik har flera invandrare startat eget företag.Flertal av invandrarföretagare har olika former av begränsningar exempelvis språkliga, juridiska och formella.
