This paper describes the work done trying to diminish the noise present in the signal from an IR-detector. The project was aiming towards two different kinds of applications; heat protection and presence detection. The hypothesis was that the signal-noise ratio would decrease if a filter and a proper installation were used for the detector. Some experiments were executed to determine what kind of filter were the most suitable for each application and how these could be installed. After executing the experiments and evaluate the results we recommend to use a specific filter for each application.

Resultatet genomsyras av att förskoleklassbarnen har olika förutsättningar gällande de sociala och lärande situationerna beroende på förskoleklassens organisatoriska hemvist..

Syfte: Vårt syfte med denna studie är att undersöka invandrarungdomars upplevelse av delaktighet och integration till det svenska samhället. Vi vill öka förståelsen för språkets betydelse för integration och delaktighet. Frågeställningar: 1. Upplever ungdomarna att de är en del av det svenska samhället och därmed integrerade? Har det i så fall någon betydelse för vilket land de identifierar sig med, det vill säga ursprungslandet eller Sverige?2.

The main reason for doing this kind ofproject was to find out if it was possible to make a relatively advanced application with user friendly tools. We tested the software MIT App Inventor, and the ability to create a useful application for people who wants to get an overview of their energy intake.During the process we found out that it was possible, but minor setbacks occurred. The main idea of our vision; to make a calculator and a registry with different kinds of food and their amount of calories, was completed quite easily. Later on, design alternatives and more advanced functions were not possible for us to make.This might have been because of the short amount of time the project was given, but also, and more likely, because the software did not contain that kind of advanced functions. The purpose of this study is to look into what part libraries take in the integration of mentally disabled persons into the society. What I wanted to know more about was how the mentally disabled persons experience the library. I also wanted to find out what librarians and persons working with mentally disabled persons have to say about the part libraries take in the integration of mentally disabled into the society. The study is based on interviews and literature studies. I have interviewed two librarians, four mentally disabled persons and two persons working with mentally disabled people.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att skapa en förståelse för hur integration och etnisk tillhörighet kan påverka ensamkommande barns identitetsutveckling. Uppsatsen bygger på en kvalitativ ansats där empirin består utav semistrukturerade intervjuer med fyra unga vuxna som kom till Sverige som ensamkommande. Vi har analyserat intervjumaterialet genom att utgå ifrån Meads teori kring symbolisk interaktionism, Antonovskys tankar om att individen behöver en känsla av sammanhang och empowerment. Resultatet visar att språkkunskaper, utbildning och meningsfulla fritidsaktiviteter är viktiga faktorer för en god integration för ensamkommande barn, och att deras etniska bakgrund är viktig för deras identitet. Hur integrerade de är påverkar både deras möjligheter till att "lyckas" i Sverige och ökar chanser för en starkare identitetskänsla.

This degree project is made for Cervera in Norrköping and Linköping. The task was to create a professional interactive homepage for the company where the company's range of products can be presented. Besides a homepage aimed towards potential customers, an online Internet-application where the company's employees can update, erase, and create posts that are stored in the database was created. The main programming languages have been PHP and HTML in combination with databases in MySQL. The final result was a functional, professional and informative homepage with a simple and pedagogical application for the employees.

The PhonePages of Sweden is a company that develops software for mobile units, especially cell phones. This thesis treats the development of, and contingencies for, a mobile phone directory, using the limited resources found in a mobile unit. The project was implemented and executed at The PhonePages with the intention of creating a product to sell to a third party.By studying different solutions, their benefits and drawbacks, an abstract picture of the product was constructed. Problems covered include compatibility problems caused by todays platform diversity as well as problems with saving, organizing and presenting data.The main goal was to create a phone directory which does not make external information retrievals. The service should contain both company and personal information, with name and phonenumber.

The purpose of this thesis was to examine if there where fallacies in the design solutions for the business system IFS Applications from a user perspective, and if so, correct these from a cognitive science approach.Data collection consisted of three main portions. These where; workshop, individual interviews and observations. The collected data was analyzed and resulted in identification of two main areas in the application that where found lacking.The result of the study showed that the usability for processing large amounts of data and the lack of customization where the main flaws in the application. Two low fidelity prototypes where created with the purpose of rectifying the underlying flawed design solutions that where identified from the collected data..

The aim of the study was to examine how the public libraries participate in the integration of immigrants in the Malmö-/Lund region. Librarians and immigrants were interviewed about the services offered by the libraries in the area of multiculturalism and what kind of service that is requested by the immigrants. The interviews also included possibilities to contribute to increased knowledge among the native Swedish people about different cultures represented among immigrants in Sweden. From the qualitative analyses it is concluded that the libraries represented in the study contribute to the integration of immigrants. The respondents gave multiple examples of the libraries? usefulness in the integration process by offering immigrants possibilities to develop their knowledge in the Swedish language, and also to find information about the Swedish society and culture.

 Syfte med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur romer upplever sin integration i Malmö. Vi har använt oss av den kvalitativa metoden då vi har genomfört sammanlagt åtta intervjuer med män och kvinnor med romsk bakgrund. Vi har utgått från två sociologiska teorier: Pierre Bourdieus två begrepp, habitus och kapital och Erving Goffmans teori om stigma samt att arbetet präglas genomgående av begreppet integration. Dessa teorier anser vi vara relevanta för vårt valda ämne där habitus och de olika kapitalen har som syfte att förklara hur våra intervjupersoner betraktar sin integration i Malmö genom de olika möjligheter de har. När personer upplever svårigheter med integration kan detta på olika nivåer associeras till Goffmans teori som handlar om stigmatisering.

On the 1st of January 2009, a new regulation regarding interest deduction limitations was enforced. The aim was to prevent tax structure with interest deductions in a community of interest. The changes meant that intra-group share transfers, which generates an intra-group loan structure, can lead to borrower losing their right to deduct interest expenses. Except from the main rule two exceptions were also introduced. These eliminates the limitations, and accept the deductibility despite the above conditions.

This thesis treats the normative power of the European Union and its affect on Macedonia. The main purpose has been to look closer with the use of the application of Ian Manners theory of normative power on the Macedonian case. The focus will be to answer the following questions: Does the European Union act as a normative power in relation to Macedonia, if so, how are these values diffused? Has there been any effect of the spreading of these values? Based on six interviews and the available material of European Union strategies for the Macedonian membership I have attempted to understand to what extent the European Union?s normative power has had an influence in Macedonia. The assignment was about finding a need for a mobile application, making a requirement specification document with design documents and parallel to this constructing a prototype. How can a user centered perspective be used in the process of making the requirement specification document and the design documents?? How do guidelines for usability apply to a mobile application?Three visits to companies in the forest industry were made to find a need for mobile information technology solutions. After a small analysis of the different companies? problems and conditions the decision was to use Tenhults Impregneringsverk AB in the case study.We used the FA/SIM method in our job of finding the organization needs for change and the principles of User Centered Design in the work of constructing a prototype.The result of our work is a requirement specification with design documents and a prototype.
