I arbetet undersöks hur kunskap om systemtänkande och ekosystemtjänster kan användas vid utformning av ett produktionslandskap ansluten till fjärrvärme i området Elleholm i Karlshamns kommun. Anledningen till arbetets fokus är slutsatser om utbyggnad av resurshushållande växthussystem i Elleholm som drogs under masterkursen Energy Landscapes, våren 2014. Målet med examensarbetet har varit att bidra med djupare analys av växthusutbyggnad utifrån teori och att med en landskapsarkitektonisk vinkling rekommendera placering och utformning av utbyggnad inom ett avgränsat projektområde. Systemtänkande och ekosystemtjänster undersöktes först teoretiskt i en litteraturstudie och applicerades sedan praktiskt i en fallstudie. Litteraturstudien visar att systemtänkande baseras i en vetenskaplig teori, systemteori, som influerat flertalet discipliner och även påverkat teori inom landskapsarkitektur. Landskapet kan ses som ett komplext och öppet system med flera subsystem och systemnivåer. Begreppet ekosystemtjänster (ekosystemens direkta och indirekta bidrag till människors välbefinnande) har i sin tur uppkommit för att försöka påverka och styra samhällsplanering mot beslut som möjliggör ekosystem att fortsätta ?ge? människan ekosystemtjänster. Ekosystemtjänster kan ses som komponenter i ett landskapssystem. I fallstudien applicerades teori kring landskapssystemets nivåer och ekosystemtjänster för att få kunskap om system inom projektområdet i Elleholm.

Buildings and habitations account for approximately 40 % of Sweden's total energy today. To reduce this figure, as needed, more research in the field of energy efficiency is required.This thesis concerns the heating of buildings. Syftet med denna uppsats är att testa olika tradingmodeller inom valutahandel, byggda på tekniska indikatorer, för att undersöka om man kan nå en positiv avkastning.Undersökningen omfattar 24 olika modeller, byggda på fyra olika tekniska indikatorer och med tre olika money management strategier. Modellerna testas på fem olika valutapar under tre månaders tid. Slutsatsen är att det går att nå positiv avkastning och även positiv överavkastning med automatiska tradingmodeller om rätt indikatorer och money management strategier används. Modellernas avkastning är mer känsliga för valet av money management strategi än för valet av vilka tekniska indikatorer och parametervärden som ska användas..

Syftet med uppsatsen är att göra en systematisk beskrivning, utifrån ett aktörs- och aktivitetsperspektiv, av ämnet Crisis Management. Detta för att skapa ett djup och en förståelse kring begreppet Crisis Management och dess innebörd i ett svenskt företag. Vi har för avsikt att först utföra en teoristudie för att sedan kunna jämföra denna med praktiken, för att erhålla den bas som behövs för att diskutera och besvara vår problemformulering. Resultatet av ett effektivt Crisis Management blir enligt oss, att Crisis Mangement utgör en psykologisk effekt på företag och dess aktörer. When a municipality is about to realize an IT investment, e.g. an economy system, theywill need to do procurement according to the laws of procurements. To perform suchprocurement takes time and energy from the everyday work at the municipalities, andtherefore they want to make a quick and efficient procurement. Unfortunately it showsthat municipalities do not always make an assessment that is sufficient enough for theirneeds, which can result in an inefficient system in a longer perspective. Municipalitiesthink more often about the hard values such as costs of the investments, and not alwaysas much when it comes to the soft values, like the user-friendliness.

The thermal response of a borehole field is often described by non?dimensional response factors called gfunctions.The g?function was firstly generated as a numerical solution based on SBM (Superposition BoreholeModel). An analytical approach, the FLS (Finite Line Source), is also accepted for generating the g?function. In thiswork the potential to numerically produce g?functions is studied for circular borehole fields using the commercialsoftware COMSOL.

Web Services har vuxit i popularitet de senast åren. Användningen av inbyggda systemökar också ständigt, och möjligheten att göra inbyggda system tillgängliga via Web Services öppnar nya möjligheter.Detta arbete visar på möjligheter och problem med standardiserade textbaserade protokoll för kommunikation i inbyggda system med små resurser. XML-RPC och SOAP studeras ur detta perspektiv. SOAP befinns vara mer komplext att implementera stöd för än XMLRPC i den begränsade testmiljön, som har 32kB internminne. XML-RPC visar sig ge fördelar över proprietära protokoll främst när det gäller underhållbarhet och återanvändbarhet..

The energy consumption continues to increase as the use of electronics and energy consuming equipment increases. The use of fossil fuels has to be phased out for this to be sustainable in the long run while the use of renewable energy continues to increase. A renewable energy source is solar energy but the production of heat and electricity are today very expensive compared to other energy sources and an important task for the solar energy market to grow is therefore to minimize the production cost of the solar collectors while increasing its efficiency to produce heat and/or electricity. One way to convert solar energy into heat is by using solar collectors and electricity can be produced by utilizing the produced heat, or by applying solar cells.This thesis aims to recommend a reflective material for the next generation solar collectors from Absolicon and to recommend a commercially available coating for the receiver tube of the solar collector. A market study has been carried out to investigate the cost-related aspects along with the optical and durable aspects for the optical material of the solar collector.

AbstractThe real estate sector is today responsible for 40 per cent of the total amount of energy consumption within the members of the EU. All over the world there are collaborations within research and projects to find ways of reducing the amount of energy consumed by the real estate sector. In Sweden, a directive from the European Union has posed demands on authorities as well as on the private sector to reduce the amount of energy consumed by new building constructions. Together with the directive from the EU there are also new requirements and demands from Boverket for the real estate sector.  These requirements mostly concern the energy consumption of kilowatt-hour per square metre and that the consumed energy also should be renewable.  The aim of this study is to explain what kind of value municipalities experience in using certifications and environmental investments for new and existing buildings. Within the chapter theory, essential areas are described such as; environmental certification systems, economical viability, proceeds connected to building green, difficulties with building green, the performance of green buildings when affected by the behaviour of tenants and customer value.  The following chapter describes the methodology with which we have conducted this study.

The development within the textile industry is always ongoing with development of new andbetter textiles, which often mean the use of non-natural materials like polyester. This doesn?t lineup with the work shared around the world against an improved environment, so the idea came touse a form of linen fibers instead of polyester as the reinforcing material together with cotton.The idea was to use flax, linen of low quality, which is seen as a waste product and garbage inthe production of high quality linen and flax seed oil. This flax of low quality needs to beseparated before it can be used in cotton spinning machines. Fireball 2 is just that, a process toseparate flax fibers through the treatment of a technique called electrohydraulic discharge.The thesis works goal is to evaluate the Fireball 2 process ability to separate flax fiber.

Holmen Skog is one of the largest forestry companies in Scandinavia and they depend heavily on a large network of forest roads for production and logistics in connection to their forestry operations. The company recently introduced a new system for planning of road management. The system will also be developed with the intention to facilitate the monitoring of actions performed by road contractors. This report will provide information to support future decisions regarding further development of the system, after its introduction. In addition to a presentation of results from interviews, the report also provides a smaller study of the different subjects associated with roads, process work and process development. The study is largely based on interviews with road contractors that perform work for Holmen Skog today.

CRM-system har visat sig vara ett allt mer vanligt och effektivt marknadsföringsverktyg. Ett CRM-system hjälper ett företag att strukturera samtliga kunder samt information om kunderna på ett ställe. Målet med ett CRM-system är att förstå kundens behov och dess värde för företaget.Studiens syfte är att beskriva CRM och hur ett sådant system kan användas. Vi har valt att undersöka leverantörers och kunders syn på CRM-system, vilka för- och nackdelar de ser med ett CRM-system. Vi har även valt att belysa väsentliga skillnader mellan traditionella CRM-system och så kallade molnbaserade CRM-system, något som har blivit allt mer vanligt.

This paper aims to find out how to implement an information security management (ISMS) system that is based on ISO/IEC 27001-standard into a small organization with high employee turnover. The standard employs the PDCA-method as a course of action for implementing the standard. The reason for implementing such a system is to introduce information security to the organization and to maintain it despite the changes in management. The paper based it?s survey on a case study of a student nation in Uppsala, Sweden.
