Partille municipality is planning an extension of the building Forellen. Green environments in health care have been shown to improve the health of patients, especially in elderly care. This report addresses the possibility of using the leftover space in close connection to a dementia and short-term accommodation to a winter garden and a terrace. The report also analyzes the impact of these green spaces on the residents.The purpose is to find alternative answers on the issue through the study of nursing homes and green spaces, and that these may be useful for Partille municipality and inspiration for future projects. The goal is to get conclusions in to a report, drawings, and an oral presentation.The results show that the design of environments can affect human well-being and also be healing both mentally and physically.

Odefinierade platser värderas ofta negativt och förnippas frekvent med social problematik och oattraktiv utformning. Det finns dock en alternativ inställning till dessa platser. Till skillnad från många offentliga ytor som kan inrymma exkluderande och kontrollerande designelement finns odefinierade platser där olika sociala grupper kan mötas utan mallar och begränsningar. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka odefinierade platsers eventuella sociala värde ur ett kommunalt stadsplaneringsperspektiv i Sverige och jämföra det med den alternativa inställning som presenteras i litteraturen samt med de eventuella värden som observerades vid platsstudier i Uppsala. Det kommunala stadplaneringsperspektivet erhölls genom en enkätundersökning som skickades ut till trettio kommuner i Sverige varav sju svarade.

How are you going to act to keep the quality on the potato during the storage, with a minimum of weight lost? My aim with this thesis is to get a view over how the potato act in storage space. This means being able to see that the public space could be different and to recognize the potentials for it to change. This project examines the underlying ideals of urbanism and investigates the potentials of the City when shaped by these ideals.

The aim of this masters thesis is to explore a mediators practical procedure during booktalks. The main question is: Why do librarians have booktalks and what does it mean to have booktalks for children? In order to answer our main question, we have used these three questions: - Why do our interviewed librarians have booktalks? - How do our informants prepare their booktalks and what do their presentations look like? - Do our informants have any follow-ups of their booktalks and if so, how do they do that? To limit the thesis, we have concentrated our study to Swedish public libraries and to children in the elementary school. We have conducted qualitative interviews with three librarians who do booktalks for children as a part of their job. The thesis theoretical basis is Aidan Chambers theory about the Reading Circle and especially the parts enabling adult and selection.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka hur grupper inom en industri skiljer sig från andra typer av arbetsgrupper från en större population. I den här studien användes Team Diagnostic Survey (TDS). Today there is a large consensus about the importance of Swedish schools providingconditions enabling students to develop the ability to manage and learn through information technologies (IT). The goal of this study was to describe and examine how national education goals for the use of IT transformed into municipal IT-strategies for the school. A content analysis was conducted of thirty-eight municipal IT-strategies collected from Swedish municipal websites on the Internet. The content in the municipal IT-strategies was compared with the content in both the Swedish education act and the national curriculum. The results showed that the content in the Swedish education act and the national curriculum in fact was translated into municipal IT strategies, but that the range of strategies concerning technology, pedagogy and content in relation to IT was broad.

This thesis examines how power is constructed through language use in the Swedish mining policy with the legislative change proposition to enabling uranium mining. The aim is to analyze differences in how the government and municipalities formulate and justify their positions. The study adopts a qualitative case study design and applies Fairlough?s critical discourse analysis.
