Denna studie syftar till att få en ökad förståelse för vad som kännetecknar affärsutvecklingen hos snabbt växande företag. Författarna närmar sig problemet genom att de använder Starbucks som fallstudie och analyserar företaget med hjälp av fyra olika teorier. Starbucks har under en kort tid vuxit relativt snabbt och företaget finns idag etablerad i 34 länder. De teorier som behandlas i uppsatsen bearbetar ämnet affärsutveckling. Varje teori fokuserar på olika aspekter av vad som kan leda till att ett företag växer och expanderar.

Syftet med studien är att söka förklaringar till varför svenska organisationer inte har inrättat heltäckande konflikthanteringssystem och/eller uttalade strategier för konfliktförebyggande. Jag har sökt förklaringarna genom HR-chefers synsätt på konflikter, konflikthantering och konfliktförebyggande arbete. Jag ville också försöka finna vilka eventuella hinder som kan finnas och vilka nödvändiga förutsättningar som är förknippade med utvecklingen av konflikthanteringssystem. Hur resonerar HR-chefer kring frågan om det är möjligt eller önskvärt att ha ett konflikthanteringssystem?Jag har valt att studera synsätt hos HR-chefer/strateger på olika typer av arbetsplatser, såväl privata som offentliga.

Organic food is produced in a way that strives towards maintaining and improving natural resources. The welfare of both producers and consumers is central, also taking both animals and the environment into account. The Swedish government finds this important and in 2006 they made a resolution that the consumption of organic food should be stimulated. The goal was that 25 % of the municipalities? consumption of food should be organic in 2010.The municipality of Ludvika reached the government's target in 2011 and is currently increasing their proportion of organic food by one new product every year.  Ludvika is a member of The National Association of Swedish Eco-municipalities and the town of Ludvika is also a Fairtrade city.

This project investigates the cooperation between architect and engineer. The context of the investigation is the design of buildings for a sustainable society. The goal of the project is to further the development of the sustainable built society by increasing the knowledge of the interdisciplinary cooperation between these two fields. The focus is a close cooperation already from the start of a project. By involving both fields in the early design stages it is thought that the knowledge and skills of each field is better utilized.

Sammanfattning Syftet med studien är att beskriva och analysera, samt bidra med ökad kunskap om, hur olika kommunikationsfaktorer inom en organisation kan främja lärande. Mer precist är syftet att studera hur chef och medarbetare uppfattar vilka faktorer som påverkar digital och verbal kommunikation. Samt hur dessa faktorer kan påverka lärandet i organisationen. Studien är kvalitativ med en induktiv ingång och för att få empiri har intervjuer utförts på ett företag, med såväl chefer som medarbetare. Resultatet visar på att följande faktorer visade sig ha betydelse för kommunikation i organisationen; kombination och alternativ av kommunikationskanal; tydlighet; ansvar; riktlinjer och socialt samspel.

Bakgrund: Under 80- och 90-talet startade en debatt om den ekonomiska styrningen där styrning efter finansiella nyckeltal kritiserades. Att enbart styra ett företag efter finansiella nyckeltal ansågs inte enligt kritiker förbättra områden som kundnöjdhet, innovation, kvalitet, cykeltid samt motivation hos medarbetare. Balanserade styrkort används som ett redskap för planering och uppföljning. Ett styrkorts främsta syfte är att översätta strategiska mål och visioner till ett antal sammanhängande prestationsmått. Dessa mått delas in i olika perspektiv som vanligtvis är finansiella, kundfokuserade, processfokuserade och innovationsfokuserade.

Sweden's aging population makes the need for a viable health care urgent and telemedicine can be a solution to enable older people to receive or give themselves care in their homes. Furthermore, implementation of telemedicine has the potential to realise profits in society by increasing the accessibility of health care and minimizing travel costs. Sweden?s low population density and geographical configuration makes the advantages of telemedicine even more appealing. To illustrate the differences between the county councils? use of telemedicine and thus increasing the possibility for coordinated care between them, the authors have on behalf of the Innovation Centre at the Karolinska University hospital mapped the amount of telemedicine technologies that are available in the Swedish county councils? today. To collect information an electronic survey and video or telephone interviews were used.

The world around us is shrinking and globalization and capitalism are processes affecting the world. Global trends, like outsourcing and relocation of firms to low-cost countries, have become more common. This creates a huge vulnerability in the municipalities that today are concentrated around a single large company. One of these is Olofström which today is one of the most vulnerable municipalities in Sweden and whose survival today lies in the hand of the company ?Volvo Cars Corporation?.

Problembakgrund: Den digitala underhållningsbranschen växer så det knakar och allt fler försöker starta egna spelbolag eller skapa egna succé-appar. Branschen kryllar av entreprenörer och nyligen gjorda empiriska och teoretiska studier indikerar att ekonomistyrning är ett viktigt element för ökad innovation. Dock visar tidigare studier på tvetydighet gällande ekonomistyrning och entreprenörskap i samma kontext. Även olika situationsfaktorer som till exempel storlek, regleringar och konkurrenter påverkar designen av ekonomistyrning. På grund av brist på tidigare studier inom valt fält är vi intresserad av att undersöka företagens design av ekonomistyrning och hur den påverkas av verksamhetens särart.Syfte: Författarna har utfört en mindre pilotstudie i den digitala underhållningsbranschen, där ett fåtal företags design av ekonomistyrning undersöktes.

The thesis aims to describe the current sales climate in the context of complex sales in business-to-business. The purpose is to increase the clients knowledge of sales and test the clients hypothesis that the sales climate is changing from Solution Selling to Insight Selling, further the thesis aims to contribute to the scientific debate of sales. Solution Selling is characterized, as the name suggest, by selling of solution to the customers needs. With Insight Selling the seller has a provocative approach towards the customer and the seller is searching for customers in the need of change. This is a qualitative study conducted with eight interviews and one focus group.

Denna uppsats diskuterar och söker förståelse för hur en researrangör producerar resor. Studien grundar sig på en fallstudie med en av Sveriges största researrangörer. På grund av konfidentiella skäl har researrangören i denna uppsats döpts om till ett fingerat namn, nämligen Charterbolaget. Studien handlar om hur Charterbolaget planerar och implementerar nya resmål. Vilka faktorer är inblandade och vad krävs det av en researrangör för att producera och etablera ett resmål? Denna studie vill ge kunskap och förståelse för hur reseföretag producerar och etablerar nya resmål.

Studiens bakgrund är en förändrad samhällskontext där Svenska kyrkan har möjlighet att omdefiniera fokus för sin verksamhet. I ett sådant reflektionsarbete kan den lokala församlingens organisationsidentitet, exempelvis i termer av ?folkkyrka?, vara en drivkraft för förnyelsearbete. Bakgrunden beskriver utvecklingsprojektet ?Aktör för välfärd? samt tidigare forskning på området.

AbstractThis thesis is the final part of the Innovation and Design Engineering Programme (180 ECTS credits)at the Faculty of Health, Nature and Engineering Science at Karlstad University. The extent of thisthesis is 22.5 ECTS credits and has been performed independently by Hannes Jernberg during thespring of 2013. Metso Paper Karlstad AB is the task maker of this project, and Arvid Johansson is thecompany Representative. Metso Paper Karlstad AB is one of the world leading developer andmanufacturer of tissue paper machines.In the current situation, the company has developed and patented a power management systembased on a Cross Flow Turbine. The current construction is limited to a paper width of 2.9 meters.The company wants to take advantage of all the opportunities provided by the patents, to develop aturbine solution paper machine with a paper width that is wider than 5.5 meters, and give the abilityto manufacture paper for lower energy consumption which is an important part of the production asit is very energy intensive.Problems arise with the increasing length of the turbine, ultimately resulting in that the deflectionbecomes too big and that the momentums, due to the increased torque the turbine blades breaks.By applying the design process, this work has resulted in a number of potential solutions to theproblem.

New innovation and technology have influenced the development of product development processes and the four largest banks in Sweden have more or less been forced to adapt their products and services along new customer requirements. It may therefore be considered appropriate to involve customers in this process. This by collecting customer information and allow customers to influence the process to a greater extent. The payment solutions of Sweden?s largest banks' continue to evolve and to pay with electronic money has come to change banks' product development processes of payment solutions.

Different techniques for precision agriculture have been available during the last decade. Some of them are more widely used than others. The main purpose of this thesis was to investigate the different attitudes to precision agriculture that exists among farmers and advisors in Sweden. Eight advisors and sixteen farmers were asked for their opinion of a number of specific techniques for precision agriculture, such as yield-mapping, precision liming, the Yara Nitrogen Sensor and site-specific fertilization with phosphorous and potassium. They were also asked to describe the way in which the counselling in Swedish agriculture is used and also about it's importance for the adaptation of new techniques. The high costs are mentioned to be one of the most important reasons why precision agriculture hasn't been more widely spread. Several farmers refer to their farms as too small to bear the costs that come with the techniques. The individual interest for technique among the potential users plays an important role.
