This paper describes a factor analysis applied at the data of the European Union structural indicators. These are the official indicators for wealth and economic development in the European Union with main use to evaluate the outcomes of the year 2000 Lisbon goals for making the European Union the world?s strongest economy by 2010. The purpose of the data is to serve for comparing and ?learning by doing?-policies, but have, due to size and format, so far been hard to use for a good compare between member countries.

May Purpose of study: The aim of this study is to create an understanding of how leaders trough a Structural ethical climate can contribute to a Situation-based ethical decision-making of their employees. Method: We have used a qualitative method and conducted semi-structured interviews with respondents from real estate agent firms. When we studied our phenomenon, our overall research deign was qualitative interviews. Our data has been analyzed with an abductive method of analysis, influenced by Grounded theory. Results and conclusions: The study shows that leaders in the real estate agent-business trough a Structural ethical climate contributes to a Situation-based ethical decision-making of their employees by acting as role models, leads by example, highlighting the office values and rewards & punishes behaviors to control their employees? ethical decision making. Suggestions for further research: We believe that future studies can be conducted through observations to study both leaders and employees, to pay attention to employees? opinions and reflect on what affects them.

I studien har jag ställt frågorna; vad är masskommunikation och hur kan den beskrivas? Vilken väg transporteras en händelse i massmedias infrastruktur? Ambitionen är att undersöka hur masskommunikationen fungerar, därför har tre specifika händelser valts ut för att studeras. Teoretiskt utgår studien ifrån ett mediefilosofiskt synsätt i en postmodern tradition med medieteori av McLuhan, Baudrillard och Bourdieu. Undersökningen har genomförts med kvalitativ fallstudie. Tre händelser har identifierats och kategoriserats i empirisk, definitiv och producerad händelse.

The railway line was located to areas outside the ordinary routes and a number of communities were built up along its way.Älmhult was one of the communities that was built up due to the railway. The real estate company Ihus is facing an expansion of its comfort cooling in Noatun,Uppsala, to provide the buildings in the block with cooling. The buildings in Noatunare mainly used for office premises, where the requirements for an accepted indoorclimate is great. However, it?s uncertain whether Ihus should continue, as currently,producing comfort cooling by themselves using a compressor chiller, or if they shouldconnect themselves to Vattenfall?s district cooling net.The purpose of this report is to examine which technique of cooling is best suited forIhus and their buildings in Noatun. It should also work as a guideline for othercompanies facing the same problem as Ihus.

This thesis has been conducted at Volvo Bussar ABunder a period of ten weeks. Within the organizationVolvo, the work is conducted with leaders and teamson every level; from production to top management.They have three tasks, besides executing their dailywork, they are expected to actively work on improvingtheir individual work as well as themselves as persons.The two latter are future value adding activities for theorganization. When doing so, however, it has beennoticed that they often lose the grasp of their dailywork. The question that consequently arises is whythis happens. Is it because of lack of time or it isbecause the co-workers do not have the competenceand simply do not know how they are to execute thethree tasks? Or, is it because the motivation to executethe three tasks is not enough? With this in regard, thestatement of issues for this bachelor thesis were thefollowing: how can the conditions for leaders and theteam be improved, in order for them to execute thesethree tasks.To find out why the execution of these threeassigments did not always succeed, the decision wastaken to conduct a survey and interview study in reallife and at the plants.
Användning av statisk GNSS-mätning för höjdbestämning av fixpunkter vid införande av RH 2000
Detta examensarbete utfördes under våren 2009 och avhandlar bestämning av fixpunkter i ett höjdnät med hjälp av statiska Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) mätningar. Ämnet är högaktuellt med tanke på att många kommuner står inför en övergång till Rikets Höjdsystem 2000 (RH 2000). Det kan vara ett problem vid en sådan övergång om det finns isolerade delar av det lokala höjdnätet som inte är anslutet till huvudnätet. Tidigare har den enda lösningen på ett sådant problem varit att genomföra ett höjdavvägningståg, ett både kostsamt och tidskrävande företag. Syftet med denna studie är att ge svar på hur noggrant det går att göra en höjdbestämning av fixpunkter med statisk GNSS-mätning. Fältarbetet har utförts i Sandvikens kommun där ett antal höjdfixpunkter i RH 2000 nätet använts som referens vid GNSS-mätningar.

This master's thesis is about alternative career opportunities for library and information science graduates. Ever since the beginning of our education we have been interested in working outside of the traditional libraries. Now that we are about to receive our degrees in library and information science we are doubtful if the competence we have obtained is enough to meet the demands of the labour market. The employment field we have been studying in this master's thesis is information management, since this is a field that we find comparable to library and information science. Our study involves a qualitative survey amongst recruiting companies to investigate how the recruiters value different educations, competences and personal skills when they employ staff within the field of information management.
"Man är väl aldrig riktigt fullärd" : specialidrottslärares utbildning och kunskaper
Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med den här uppsatsen var att ta reda på vilken utbildning de lärare som arbetar med ämnet specialidrott har samt om de upplever att de saknar kunskap inom vissa områden. Vilken utbildning har de lärare som arbetar med ämnet specialidrott? Har lärarna själva varit aktiva inom den idrott de undervisar i? På vilken nivå i så fall? Upplever lärarna att de kan undervisa i hela det centrala innehållet utifrån den utbildning de har? Eller är det någonting som de vill ha mer kunskap/utbildning inom? Hur gör de lärare/tränare som saknar formell lärarutbildning med betygssättningen?Metod44 enkäter delades ut till elva skolor runt om i Stockholmsområdet. Två "riktat öppna" intervjuer genomfördes. 8 kvinnor och 36 män deltog, alla arbetar på ett RIG eller NIU med någon eller några av specialidrotts sju kurser.
