Examensarbetet har genomförts på den produktionstekniska avdelningen på Volvo Construction Equipment i Hallsberg.Syftet varatt ta fram ett nytt koncept för hyttsvetsproduktionen på fabriken;hur produktionsprocessen skulle kunna se ut i framtiden. Man vill göra flödet i linan mer effektivt med avseende på kvalitet, flexibilitet samt eliminera tidsslöseri som idag är ett problem.När fabriken påbörjade sin produktionproducerade man två olika varianter av hyttertill anläggningsmaskiner, idag har man ökat produktionen till fyra varianter. I takt med att varianter samt orderingång ökat har man byggt på befintlig produktionslina istället för att utveckla en ny, anpassadlinafördet nya läget. Resultatet har blivit att maxkapaciteten är nådd och linan klarar inte att hantera en planerad produktionsökning.En grundlig analys av hyttsvetsprocessen, innehållande intervjuer med bland andra platschef, teknisk chef och flera tekniker genfördes för att få förståelse för processen. Övrig information såsom effektivitetsmätningar på utrustning, värdeflödesanalyser och avvikelserapportering har funnits tillgängligt och legat till grund för arbetet.

Flexicurity is a union of the English words flexibility and security. The union of the two words to one common term, hints that flexibility and security does not have to be each others counterparts in order to achieve good economical development and employment. Flexicurity, as it is found in Denmark, is described as a three part model composed of active labour market politics, generous financial compensation in the case of unemployment and flexible labour law. The existence of strong collective agreements and three part cooperation is of great importance for the good flow of the Danish model. The same goes for education of different kinds.

This project includes development of new packaging for dry spices and an investigation of how to automate the production line. The preliminary investigations show needs of an environmental friendly packaging possible to re-close. After screening for suitable materials three concepts were developed, a stand-up pouch, a plastic jar and a metal can. The pouch was excluded in a concept choosing process. In this process it was also decided to further develop the metal can concept.

Det har under en lång tid i Sverige funnits ett intresse av att minska på lagernivåerna. I samband med den ekonomiska krisen på 1970-talet riktades allt mer fokus mot det kostsamma bundna kapitalet i lagret. Under 1980-talet började Just-In-Time introduceras i Sverige, senare även LEAN production. Dessa filosofier spädde på intresset för att minska på lagernivåerna ytterligare. Sedan dess kan vi se att en förändring har skett, exempelvis har leveransernas ledtid blivit kortare samt orderkvantiteterna mindre.Synen på lager skiljer sig dock åt mellan olika forskare.

This work consists of two studies. One is based on an inquiery to nurseries with production of woody plants, and the other on visits to gardencenters, primarily in Skåne but also in Stockholm. Inquieries where sent to 87 nurseries, 48 of them replied. The purpous of the inquiery was to make a thorough investigation of the ligneous production at the Swedish nurseries, what is produced and in what quantities. Within the inquiery was also a thorough look at the fruit tree production. This to be able to conclude what cultivars that are produced and how large part of that production that is certified according to the Swedish Board of Agriculture (SJV).

Byggsektorn befinner sig i ständig utveckling där nya produktionslösningar och konstruktioner tas fram för att öka effektiviteten och minimera kostnaderna. Syftet med denna rapport är att utvärdera två relativt nya produktionssystem: rullarmering och den mer beprövade självkompakterande betongen. Data har samlats in för att analysera enhetstider, kostnadseffekter, kvalitet, hanterbarhet och arbetsmiljö för de nya metoderna. Lean Production är resurssnål eller mager produktion översatt till svenska och är en ide för utformning av produktionsprocessen som ett flöde utan spill. Grundtanken i Lean Production är att få rätt saker, till rätt plats, vid rätt tidpunkt, i rätt kvantitet med minimalt slöseri samtidigt som produktionen är öppen för förändringar.

The report is about efficiency of a current production group where there is no clear production flow and there are some buffers between the operations. The efficiency is done with the help of a tool that is calledWork process of flow production which is used by Atlas Copco CTO. The most obviously results are that the lead time drops from 25 hours to 425 minutes and that the balancing loss decreases from 85 % to 8 %. The report focus on decreasing transports, decreasing buffers, more reliability in lead time and quality. And a more stimulating labour content for the workers is another result..

Mapping a process enables a greater understanding of the work, and is standard to evaluate and improve a process. This thesis is conducted at Test Bed Mechanical Design at Scania in Södertälje. Test Bed Construction is a complex process, characterized by a large amount of creative work, technical challenges and coordination between different people and different organizational functions.The aim of the thesis was to identify the Test Bed Construction Process and to develop a visual model of the workflow that also served as support for the engineers in their daily work. During the mapping process, comparisons were made with previous research in lean product development to identify process improvement.A literature review on process mapping and process visualisation resulted in a method for process mapping. The study showed that research on process visualisation is neither structured nor well defined.

At present, the Swedish pig industry is in transition. Prices have been low, but feed prices have increased. Therefore, many pig producers have stopped their production. Producers that lack an integrated production may contract piglet?s producers, or may use the mediation services that slaughterhouses provide.

Problem, Lean är en arbetsmetod som blir allt vanligare inom offentliga förvaltning eftersom det förväntas effektivisera verksamheten. Ett krav som allt fler organisationer behöver ta ställning till.Inom akademiska kretsar diskuteras leans effektivitet samt vad som egentligen ingår i begreppet. Trafikverket har implementerat lean som arbetsmetod inom en specifik del av organisationen, vilken berör Trafikingenjörer från sex olika regioner. Syftet är att effektivisera fyra olika arbetsgruppers ärendehantering. En tidigare kvantitativ undersökning har visat att upplevelsen av lean och av dess implementering varierar i de olika regionerna.

Lean produktion är en filosofi vars förenklade syfte är att producera mer produkter och samtidigt använda färre resurser genom att eliminera slöseri i systemet. I grunden är det företag som ägnar sig åt stycktillverkningen som anammat tekniker inom lean men på senare tid har denna filosofi spridit sig även till andra branscher. Utvecklingen av lean mot processindustrin har däremot gått mycket långsammare vilket medför att den industrin fortfarande har mycket att lära när det kommer till lean. En del kritiker menar att möjligheten att använda leantekniker i processindustrin är väldigt begränsad medan andra hävdar att det bara krävs ett annorlunda angreppssätt och att de olika metoderna måste anpassas efter processindustrins förutsättningar.Då lean syftar till att eliminera olika typer av slöseri ur systemet finns det en generellt vedertagen metod som heter värdeflödesanalys. Denna metod används för att kartlägga material- och informationsflödet för att man på så vis ska kunna identifiera slöseri som existerar i systemet.

The main purpose for this thesis is to investigate why female academics choose to work as temporary workers. Through profound interviews I look at the reasons the women gives to why the have chosen the role as a consultant but also why they choose to stay on in the position. I?m relating their answers to widely spread theories about gender and social structures. I also investigate theories about job satisfaction and how these women?s answers can be interpreted from these theories.

Denna rapport fokuserar på lean systemutveckling inom multiprojektorganisationer. Dessa organisationer står idag inför problemet att hantera flera parallella IT projekt samtidigt som kraven ökar på att leverera mer effektivt. Nyckelord som nämns är lean, agila arbetssätt och scrum allt för att effektivisera och arbeta smartare, detta medför förändrade arbetsprocesser, attityder och beteenden. En huvudtanke är att om man investerar mer tid och pengar i att systematiskt arbeta med förbättringar kan man drastiskt minska företagets kvalitetsbristkostnader varigenom verksamhetens totala kostnader minskas (Sörqvist, 2004). Erfarenheter från verksamheter som framgångsrikt arbetat med ständiga förbättringar, t ex Toyota, har i praktiken styrkt detta resonemang.Syftet med denna rapport är att analysera hur en förändring i ledarskapsfilosofin, som lean är, påverkar organisationen den appliceras på.

The ethanol plant has been studied in combination with Händelöverket, the combined heat and power plant which provides the ethanol process with steam. The purpose of this study was to determine the energy consumption for the whole production chain from grain to ethanol. The analysis has included the energy consumption for cultivation of grain, production of chemicals, the production chain for wood chips, the steam production and the ethanol plant. The grain and wood chips are both considered raw materials there for the energy content in these are not included as energy input in the system.
