Anställdas attityd till miljön och miljöledningssystemet: ALSTOM Power Sweden AB

Today environmental management systems (EMS) are common documents (more correctly, a combination of documents) that direct, steer and regulate environmental efforts within many companies. The intention of EMS is that its guidelines are reflected in how the employee carries out his everyday work tasks. This study aims to illuminate the attitudes that exist regarding the EMS at ALSTOM Power Sweden. By using questionnaires and interviews as a method to communicate with employees,a study of the existing attitudes regarding the EMS was carried out. The results were analyzed categorically and statistically and show that there are consistent attitudes among employees, but that there are also inconsistent attitudes.

?Vi har alltid utmaningar på HR? - nuvarande upplevelser och framtida behov vid användandet av IT-personalsystem

The aim of this thesis was to investigate how the use of the IT-personnelsystem influences human resources and the new challenges and future requirements that may occur, while IT-personnelsystem is used more extensively in the HR-function.Previous research referred to in this study, has focused on how the HR-transformation has contributed to the development of an IT-personnelsystem, which has been used with increasing frequency. This use has created a significant change in the HR-function. This thesis focuses on investigating, describing and analyzing how the practice and development of the IT-personnelsystem meets the needs of the HR-transformation.This study uses qualitative research methods to investigate sixteen users? experiences and our understanding and conclusion is based on both semi-structured interviews and webb surveys. Initially deductive, later on our study took a more abductive approach.The result indicated a variety of uses for a specific IT-personnelsystem dependent on the users? function and positions and also how HR-activity was organized within the business.

Vittnesskydd

Syftet med denna uppsats är att belysa vad vi har för vittnesskydd i svensk lagstiftning och om skyddet är tillräckligt med tanke på de eventuella hot som kan förekomma mot vittne i samband med förundersökningar och rättegångar. Titeln på uppsatsen är ?Vittnesskydd?. Syftet är också att reda ut om det skulle vara möjligt att vittna anonymt, utan att sätta rättssäkerheten ur spel, eller om det finns någon annan möjlighet att skydda personer som skall vittna. Jag har använda mig av en traditionell juridisk metod, lagtext, praxis, proposition och doktrin.

En hemtjänstgrupp fast i en negativ spiral?

Abstract We have chosen to figure out why a majority in a home-help service group in west of Sweden is, or has been sick-listed. The purpose with our work has been to investigate our area to be able to come up with different factors which can have contributed to the high numbers of this particular group. We have worked with qualitative method and conversation-interviews to be able to answer our purpose at the best way. We had separate interviews with the ten employees at their work and these interviews we chose to record with a computer. The result we got were that the group had existed for about four years and since then, they have had several different directors.

Medarbetares behov av kommunikation : Ett medarbetarperspektiv på kommunikation vid en organisationsförändring

Changes are occurring in most organizations today and due to the fact that changes often are harder to implement than they seem, it often takes much longer time to implement them than the management have planned. During an organizational change theorist claim that communication between managers and employees is one of the most important things to consider. Therefore, in this essay, our aim is to closer investigate which needs of information and communication co-workers have during a planned organizational change. To collect data, we interviewed five co-workers and one manager who works in an organization which has gone through a major change. Our theoretical framework comprises former research of organizational communication, employee?s needs of communication, change communication and theories of uncertainty during organizational change.

Fichtelius-affären och public service-ideologin

With this master thesis I wanted to find out whether Erik Fichtelius, an SVT employee, interview project with prime minister Göran Persson is acceptable according to the public service ideology. In order to do that I used Swedish newspaper articles to analyse the so called Fichtelius affair. I also gathered material on SVT and the public service ideology. The master thesis is based on sociologist Manuel Castells theories on mass media and television as presented in the Information Age. Castells claims that in our time different areas, such as politics and television, are melting together.

En meningsfull möjlighet att säga sin mening? : Petitioner och JO-anmälningar som politiskt deltagande i Tyskland och Sverige

This thesis compares political participation by the public through the Swedish Parliamentary Ombudsman (PO) and the German Petitions Committee of the Bundestag (PC). Through studies of literature and statistics I examine how citizens can participate through the institutions, how frequently they do and the likelihood of sparking a debate while participating.Using media theories as well as theories of participatory and representative democracy I study how citizens can use these institutions for purposes of control and proposition.Both institutions deal with complaints but the PC also deals with propositions for legislation, making the institution more versatile. The PO deals with more cases than the PC and has more far-reaching competences and areas of inspection, although neither institution has binding decisions. Thus the direct advantage for citizens using the institutions is the chance of reaching out to media and the public through freedom of information laws and the German online petition forum.The PC to a larger extent fits the representative model while the PO in some respects is more a legal than a political institution, being managed by lawyers instead of MPs. Neither institution meets the ideals of participatory politics although the German official petition is closer to it..

Ett Feministiskt initiativ. Hur och varför?

In Sweden, a new feminist political party (?Feministiskt initiativ?) was founded in 2005. The main objective of this thesis is to study the reasons and driving forces behind the establishment of the party, as well as to explain the timing of its foundation in 2005. The theories that are used in the study are focused on the individual founders, and the empirical material comprise in essence of interviews with founders.The study reveals that several individuals, as well as political movements were involved in the process of the party establishment. Various interacting factors influenced the founders to choose the strategy of setting up a political party.

Bredband till alla : en teknikinventering

Sveriges regering lade den 28 mars 2000 sin proposition 1999/2000:86 Ett informationssamhälle för alla. En av propositionens huvudinriktningar är att alla företag och hushåll skall kunna ha möjlighet att ansluta till ett rikstäckande datanät med bredbandskapacitet.Regeringen är medveten om att glesbygdsområden och landsorten, dvs områden utanför själva kommunernas stadskärnor, är eftersatta vad gäller tekniktillgänglighet, men specificerar inte hur och med vilken teknik dessa områden skall ?vävas? in i nätverket.Detta arbete beskriver de övergripande tekniker som finns idag och som är under utveckling, varvid två huvudgrupper kan urskiljas; trådburen respektive trådlös kommunikation. Inom dessa huvudgrupper finns ett antal olika tekniker som beroende på bl a standarder, kapacitetskrav, avstånd och antal anslutna användare kan användas i olika sammanhang.Arbetets slutsatser är att det inte finns någon generell lösning på problemet med att ansluta en kommuns ytterområden till stadsnätet, utan varje situation är unik och får bedömas var för sig. Whistleblowing: Ingvar Bratt, hjälte eller förrädare?

An employee that informs on illegal or unethical behavior in the workplace is what has been called a whistleblower. Employees that have become whistleblowers have often faced tragic consequences, like threats from the organization, unemployment, bankruptcy and divorce. The purpose of this paper is, on the basis of different ethical perspectives to describe the justification of the whistleblowing phenomenon and apply this to the Swedish whistleblower Ingvar Bratt who ?blew the whistle? when he found out that Bofors AB, the company he worked for, were smuggling arms to the countries Dubai and Bahrein. The method that has been used in this paper is what Björn Badersten call a normative ?givet att?- analysis.

Uppfattningsskillnader om ledarskapet : En undersökning om hur ledarskapet uppfattas av medarbetare

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze how employees perceive their leader / manager. How the leader / manager perceives himself in relation to employees and what differences exist.Research Method: The information was made through a qualitative approach. The study includes interviews with semi-structured questions and a subjective selection. The authors interviewed seven respondents from a service company. Based on the information the authors have attempted to draw parallels between the leader?s behaviour and theories involving different leadership styles and see how the employees perceive the leader.Conclusions: The employees and the leader have the same ideas about what is a good leadership.

Strandskydd Jämförelse och tillämpning av ny lagstiftning

Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att jämföra Naturvårdsverkets förslag till en förändring av strandskyddsbestämmelserna, som kom år 2002, med de nya strandskyddsbestämmelserna som i fullo trädde i kraft den förste februari år 2010. Vidare har frågan hur de allmänna intressena tas till vara i strandskyddsbestämmelserna ställts samt hur förändringarna i lagstiftningen har påverkat detaljplaneringen av strandområden i tätortsområden. En fallstudie gjorts över ett strandnära område där ett planförslag har gjorts för att visa hur de nya strandskyddsbestämmelserna kan tillämpas vid detaljplanering. Avgränsningen av arbetet har varit intresseavvägningen mellan de allmänna intressena och de privata utmed strandkanten vid detaljplanering samt till att studera strandskyddets påverkan vid detaljplanering i strandnära lägen. De huvudsakliga källorna har varit Regeringens proposition ?Strandskyddet och utvecklingen av landsbygden?, Naturvårdsverkets rapport, ?Kartläggning m.m.

Sweden needs a policy that stimulates economic growth. Year 1996 the Business Reorganization Act (1996:764) came into force. The goal with this law was to savebusiness, make it profitable and avoid unnecessary bankruptcies. Shortly afterwards itturned out that the law had no positive effect. A very few numbers of companies appliedfor reconstruction and the number of applications for bankruptcies continued to increase.In 2004, in order to stabilize the situation and bring about neutrality between twoproceedings, company reorganization and bankruptcy, the government proposed thereform of priority rules.

Lex Sarah : Vad händer sen?

This paper aims to find out what lex Sarah is and how the process looks like when it comes to the investigation, from reporting to registration to the IVO, the inspection of health and social care. Who investigates, the objective of the lex Sarah and how many cases of reports that comes to registration from the year between 2010-2014. Which legal consequences it can be for an employee who has been notified is investigated also. Previous research only deals with freedom of speech, criticism and the complaint goes to the asset, and because of that, this paper focuses on individual cases where employees ' perception of a lex Sarah-registration gives a psychosocial approach. The paper is limited to a municipality where statistics are retrieved and a comparison at a national level is performed.
