"Man borde kanske prata med de man tycker illa om" - tre elevgruppers arbete mot rasism

The aim was to investigate three anti-racist groups of pupils, their thoughts about respectively their work against racism. The aim was divided into the following questions: - What is, according to the groups, racism and what does the situation look like at the schools? - What does the dynamics in the group look like? - What courses of action are the groups using and how can they improve their work? - How can the groups be described according to the terms work group and basic assumption group? To answer these questions I made three group interviews, one with each group. I analysed the results partly according to earlier research and literature, partly according to the group theory of WR Bion, using the terms work group and basic assumption group. My conclusion is that the word racism seems to have been affected by inflation, since the groups include bullying as well as anti-racists.

The purpose of this paper is to examine if the sales people in the consumer electronic industry can influence the customer to buy a more expensive product and what the effects the upselling has on the customers' attitudes.

This study examined gray areas within professional ethics of a public library organization and investigated the relationship between the library as an organization and the librarian as an employee when it comes to support and opportunities to make exceptions to rules and regulations. This relationship is then related to workplace issues.Data were gathered via interviews with six librarians who were placed into two focus groups. Library organization documents that contain rules and regulations (guidelines) were examined. The presumption was that conformity between librarians? experiences and actions and the organization?s guidelines will tell us something about workplace conditions.

Tvångsinlösenpris vid kontantbud efter Balken-målet

The purpose of this paper is to investigate what consequences the discussed Balken-case have had with regards to freeze-out prices decisions for cash bids. In order to evaluate this, a comparison with a previous study is made. Last but not least, the aim is also to see what kind of arguments the minority successfully can make use of in order to reach a higher freeze-out price nowadays. Underlying the results is basically an empirical survey based on arbitrations disclosing the tendencies after the Balken-case compared to before. The empirical investigation shows that practice has become more clear and uniform after the settlement of the Balken-case where a movement from theoretical values towards market prices is recommended.

Problemformulering Den befintliga forskningen om vad som motiverar anställda att leva upp till varumärkeslöftet är ostrukturerad. Forskare använder olika nämnare för att beskriva vad som motiverar anställda men det saknas forskning som sammanställer och ger en strukturerad bild av ämnet. Därför är det nödvändigt att systematisera nämnarna för att strukturera den befintliga forskningen.Syfte Syftet med studien är att systematisera de nämnare som driver anställdas motivation att leva upp till varumärkeslöftet.Forskningsfråga Hur kan nämnarna som driver anställdas motivation att leva upp till varumärkeslöftet systematiseras?Metod Studien består av en tvärsnittsstudie av anställdas motivation att leva upp till varumärkeslöftet. Det genomfördes en kvantitativ undersökningsmetod där kvantifierbar data samlades in med hjälp av enkäter.Slutsats För att strukturera befintlig forskning framkom det att nämnarna kunde systematiseras till de fyra faktorerna självständighet, delaktighet, ledarskap och bekräftelse.

Feline Odontoclastic Resorptive Lesions (FORL) is a painful disease that affects feline teeth and that is increasing in prevalence. The ethiology is still rather unknown. However, research on the ultra structure of the feline tooth may help us understand why FORL is so prevalent in cats and not in other species. Since the ethiology is still unknown, there is yet no profylaxis. The pathogenesis is rather well known; the hard structure of affected teeth gradually undergo odontoclastic resorption and resorptive lesions are often partly replaced with bone- or cementum-like tissue.

Throughout history there have been several cases of success, regarding these kinds of operations, but also failure. Much can be taught from organizational behaviour studies, applied on these military organisations in their cooperation with each other. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the cooperation between the Swedish army and air force to determine the functionality of their process.

The educational underachievement of children in foster care has been known for a long time. This study aimed to compile and analyze the current knowledge about interventions, intended to improve foster children?s school achievements. The method used was a systematically undertaken narrative review. Despite a comprehensive searching strategy, only ten relevant studies were found, indicating that little has been done to improve the educational outcomes for children in public care.

"Avslagsbeslut" : En enkätundersökning om hot och våld bland anställda vid Migrationsverkets förvarsenhet

Threats and violence, or the risk of being subjected to threats and violence in the workplace, is a major health and safety problems that exists in many professions. To be exposed to threats and violence can have serious consequences for the employee's health but also for the organization in question. The aims of this study was to investigate the prevalence of threats and violence at the Swedish Migration Board detention, and to examine whether there were health problems among employees who may be exposed to threats and violence. A web-based questionnaire was answered by 29 employees (response rate = 51 percent). The results showed that more employees had been exposed to verbal threats (66 percent), compared to physical violence (10 percent), and they showed a greater tendency to report physical violence, as opposed to verbal threats.

Three-Component Model (TCM) of commitment i svensk kontext : En undersökning av relationen mellan commitment gentemot organisation och närmaste chef

Syftet med studien var att undersöka relationen mellan commitment gentemot organisationen och chefs-commitment i en svensk kontext med hjälp av TCM Employee Commitment Survey. Metoden för att undersöka detta var en webbenkät som delades ut till sammanlagt 188 personer, med en svarsfrekvens på 35%. Respondenterna arbetade i tre olika organisationer inom offentlig sektor. I enkäten fick respondenterna ta ställning till påståenden rörande sin organisation och sin närmaste chef. Resultatet visade att ju lägre continuance commitment är gentemot närmaste chef, desto högre är affective commitment gentemot organisationen.

Överviktens gåta : en intervjustudie om framgångsfaktorer för initiering och vidmakthållande av en livsstilsförändring

Övervikt och fetma anses vara ett globalt folkhälsoproblem, vars omfattning tycks ha ökat de senaste årtiondena. Förklaringen till det anses ofta vara en västerländsk livsstil bestående av kaloririk kost och bristande fysisk aktivitet. Att lyckas med en livsstilsförändring tycks därmed viktigt, men svårt. Syftet med studien var att identifiera framgångsfaktorer som bidragit till initierande och vidmakthållande av en livsstilsförändring. Enskilda intervjuer, med tre kvinnor och tre män, genomfördes därför med individer som vidmakthållit en livsstilsförändring i minst två år.

"Alla känner alla" : En studie om musikbolags relation till media

The purpose of our study has been to analyze the character of the interaction between music labels and media and to examine to what extent the artist brand is being considered in music labels relationship with media. This has resulted in our research question:What characterizes the large music labels relationship with media?For this study we have used a qualitative approach to achieve a deeper understanding of our chosen topic. We have conducted seven interviews with representatives from both major record labels and media companies with great knowledge about our subject. Five of the interviews were conducted face-to-face and two were performed via e-mail.In the final chapter we answer our research question and thus present our conclusions.
