Bakgrund: Sedan 1975 när abortlagen i Sverige trädde i kraft, har kvinnor själva haft möjlighet att avgöra om deras graviditet ska avbrytas innan den 18:e graviditetsveckan. I dagens sjukvård tenderar personalen att se mer till det fysiska vilket gör att kvinnors tankar och känslor förbises. Behovet av kunskap om kvinnors känslomässiga upplevelser av abort är därför betydelsefullt att belysa. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa unga kvinnors känslomässiga upplevelser i samband med abort. Metod: Studien utformades som en allmän litteraturstudie där nio artiklar samlades in och analyserades.

It is not uncommon for math difficulties and reading difficulties to occur simultaneously. Despite this, math and reading difficulties are thought to have different cognitive profiles where math difficulties are linked to number sense; an innate ability to understand, approximate and manipulate both quantities and numerical information, whereas reading difficulties are linked to phonological ability; an innate ability to understand, create representations of and manipulate phonological information. A possible link between the difficulties is that phonological abilities also could affect mathematical ability. Support for this comes from studies where comorbid math and reading difficulties are associated with more severe difficulties in arithmetic ability compared to those with isolated math difficulties. The purpose of this study is to examine whether isolated math difficulties, isolated reading difficulties and comorbid math and reading difficulties can be linked to deficits in number sense, phonological ability or both of these, and whether comorbid math and reading difficulties differ in performance in mathematical tasks compared to isolated math difficulties for children in second grade.

Background: Because of the high unhealthy rates among women in the com-mune a project to reduce it have begun. For this reason we have been given the mission from the commune of Sotenäs to study the character of these women's health. Objective: To study the health among permanent employed women in the commune of Sotenäs. Method: Quantitative method. The data have been collected through question-naire survey.

Ill health takes different expressions during different periods in life and habits during the early years affect the health during the rest of the lifetime. Bronfenbrenners ecological systems theory has been used as a theoretical starting point in this cross-sectional study. The aim of this study was to identify differences in self-rated health and health-related factors between boys and girls and between the compulsory school and the upper secondary school in Sundbyberg municipality as a basis for the planned activity in the Young Women?s shelter in Sundbyberg, as well as in other municipalities A questionnaire consisting of 24 questions based on different variables has identified disparities in health and health-related factors between boys and girls in Sundbyberg municipality (n=323). This paper found pronounced differences between the sexes in terms of sex and relationships, security, emotional support and psychosomatic complaints.

The aim of this study is to increase knowledge and understanding of free play or free fun time importance for children of age around five years in preschool, in order to promote children?s development and learning. The focus was on exploring and better understanding of teacher?s and educators? approach to the free fun play time as a tool in their educational work, and also about their own role in this context as well as analyzing of forms, rules and structures spontaneously created by groups of children having free play fun time. Another important moment of this study was to give more light on approaches to this issue in education theories by Piaget, Vygotsky and Freud among others.As to the practical experimental part of the study it has been performed at a preschool and kindergarten in a suburb at the outskirts of Stockholm, with four employed educators there and with groups of children of age around five.

The focus of this study is on the nature of social support from the rape survivor's perspective. Research has shown that social support is essential to the survivor's ability to recover from rape and that it acts as a powerful tool for the survivor to effectively deal with the PTSD symptoms that follow rape. The research also shows that survivors often receive or interpret reactions after a rape as negative. Hence, these reactions can be detrimental tothe healing process.Qualitative interviews with six women on their experience of social support after rape form the base of this study and Anthony Giddens terms ontological security, fateful moments and bodily self-management are a part of the analytical apparatus. Rape is commonly analyzed from a feminist perspective.

The forgotten group: A study of support for relatives of incarcerated individuals. The daily lives of relatives of an incarcerated individual are affected and changed by the fact that their kin has become incarcerated. This made us want to research what kind of support these individuals are in need of and what kind of support the society is offering them today. Because of their kins behaviour, these individuals are also often exposed to feelings of shame and stigma. Therefore we have, with Goffmans theory of stigma in mind, looked into how this affects the relatives daily lives.

När hjärtat drabbas upplever människor ett hot mot livet och mot allt som känns viktigt att kunna utföra i det dagliga livet. Sådana upplevelser är emotionellt laddade, vilket i sin tur påverkar både patienten och familjen. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva emotionella upplevelser hos personer som har vårdats på sjukhus på grund av hjärtinfarkt. Metod: En allmän litteraturstudie har gjorts där vetenskapliga artiklar har granskats och aktuell forskning har sammanställts under fyra kategorier till ett nytt resultat.

For many years, I have tried to understand why students end up in difficulties in mathematics. As a future teacher, it is extremely important to have knowledge of the various factors that leads to difficulties in mathematics. As a teacher it is obvious to meet the students who find mathematics a difficult subject, and, therefore it is necessary to have a broader knowledge of how to respond and support these students. According to Ahlberg, number of students with mathematics difficulties is increasing every year, therefore, it is important to help students and organize a supporting school environment that promotes and encourages learning (Ahlberg 2001, p. 104-105).

Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur Hallstahammars kommun destinationsutveckling går till, och vilken turisttyp som besöker kommunen. Hallstahammars kommun är en liten kommun, men har olika sevärdheter för både kulturturismen och naturturismen, så som Strömsholm slott, Åsby hem och trädgård, fiskeplatser, Skantzen m.m. Områdena och sevärdheterna ligger väldigt nära varandra, från Skantzö bad och camping till centrum är det ca tio minuters promenad. Att platserna ligger nära varandra, är en styrka som kommunens destinationsutveckling har jämfört med en större kommun. För att destinationsutvecklingen ska gå framåt kan kommuner utgå från bl.a.

Det har blivit mer och mer vanligt med ny, datoriserad teknik i hemmen. Fler människor har ett allt stressigare liv och inte längre samma tid att ta hand om det egna hemmet. Behovet av en hjälpande hand med hushållsarbete har blivit allt större. Tänk själv att komma hem från jobbet eller skolan och så har golvet blivit skinande rent utan att Ni knappt har behövt göra någonting! Det finns idag flera olika robotar på marknaden för detta ändamål. En av dessa är den autonoma dammsugaren, som är det vi inriktat vår uppsats på.

Background: With increasing age follows higher risks of conditions and illnesses which can cause a decrease in health and wellbeing. A meaningful social environment can positively impact the physical health of older people. Dogs are increasingly being used for different purposes within health care and animal assisted therapy aims to improve people?s physical, social, emotional and cognitive function.Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of animal assisted therapy on older people?s health and wellbeing.Methods: A literature review where searches for academic articles in databases PubMed, Cinahl and PsychInfo were performed. The searches resulted in 14 articles which were selected for further review.

Bakgrund: Borderline personlighetsstörning karaktäriseras av stark impulsivitet, långvariga känslor av tomhet, självskadebeteende och destruktiva relationer. Suicidrisken uppskattas till 8-10%. Orsaken till borderline personlighetsstörning är ej helt känd men studier har visat att barndomstrauma och negativa händelser i livet kan vara en bidragande faktor till insjuknade. Majoriteten, 75%, av de som utvecklar borderline personlighetsstörning är kvinnor. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva kvinnors upplevelser av att leva med borderline personlighetsstörning. Metod: En litteraturstudie genomfördes där kvalitativa och kvantitativa artiklar granskades.

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the parent training The Incredible Years in clinical settings. The study included 33 families in clinical practice. There were two parts to the study; a main part with a before and after measurement, and a follow-up study on 12 children one year later. On baseline the children (3-9 years) as a group were on the borderline clinical range, (M = 61.8), with 70 % of the children in the borderline or clinical range. The childrens emotional and behavioral problems were measured with Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL).

Det finns ett stort och konstant behov av sjuksköterskor inom internationellt biståndsarbete. Vad en sjuksköterska gör vid uppdrag skiljer sig från det svenska omvårdnadsarbetet. Arbetet innebär mycket glädje av att göra gott men samtidigt många tragiska upplevelser. Den här studien var empiriskt förankrad med syfte att beskriva sjuksköterskors emotionella upplevelser vid internationellt biståndsarbete för Läkare Utan Gränser. Det empiriska materialet bestod av bloggar, reseberättelser och intervjuer som analyserades och presenterades under kategorierna före, under och efter uppdrag.
