The public sector in Sweden outsources its core business to a very large extent, whileinsisting on running its IT operations internally in a traditional way. IT as a service ingeneral and cloud computing in particular has become incredibly popular in recentyears, offering cost efficiency and greater ability for the business to concentrate on itscore activities, which is why it should be a promising alternative to the traditional wayof running IT internally. To achieve an understanding of why IT as a service has yetto take off in the public sector, a study of its use of IT/IS, what the effect of IT as aservice is, and the opportunities and challenges that cloud computing represents, isnecessary.The study, which was conducted using a qualitative hermeneutic approach, was initiatedby a literature review, followed by six in-depth interviews with five respondents,all of which hold many years of experience in the area. The outcome of the interviewsindicated that IT as a service should represent a promising and feasible way of reachinghigher levels of cost control, and a greater focus on core activities. Furthermore,the results indicated that Swedish legislation along with a high level of businesscomplexitymight be reasons for the low amount of IT as a service in the public sector.Through careful analysis and examination of the business? current situation, as well ascomprehensive knowledge of Swedish legislation with regards to the implications ofLagen om offentlig upphandling, the public sector can avoid IT as a service becomingmore expensive and more complicated than necessary, and achieve cost efficiencyalong with a greater focus on its core activities through it.Future research could examine the possibility of a framework for the integration ofcloud services within the public sector?s IT/IS environment, and whether there is aspecific size of a cloud implementation at which it?s more cost efficient to go withtraditional IT operations..

To make wave power more competitive on the market Uppsala University leads projects that examine how to accomplish better efficiency in the production. One of these projects is described in this report and examines whether it is possible to make the production of dovetails more efficient by using an industry robot of type ABB IRB6000 S3 M91. This project is using an already presented working method, from a previous project, which involves that the robot picks up the dovetail and moves against fixed cutting machines where the dovetail will be drilled, threaded and milled. Drilling and threading are the sub operations that will be examined in this project where experiments are made with the presented working method and with equipment from Uppsala University.Experiments show whether it is possible to drill the holes in the dovetail within specifications by using the specific robot and the presented working method. The threading operation is examined theoretically if it is possible to accomplish by using the same working method.

In some cases we have not claimed for compensation since we consider the process as too complicated or that we lost the original receipt. Ernst & Young (2009) say in their research that within the financial management area, Swedish operations loses billions of Swedish crowns due to bad routines. Okada and Hoch (2004) mention that if time were not considered as a resource, time would not be a hinder.

In Sweden a person is either unlimited or limited liable to tax. It is important to define this status since the consequence of being unlimited liable to tax according to chapter 3 § 8 Swedish income tax law (1999:1229) is imposed tax on every revenue from Sweden and overseas. When deciding the fiscal status Sweden uses the principle of domicile which makes the home of the taxable person important.Despite domilication in another country a person can be considered to have such bonds to Sweden that they still should be unlimited liable to tax here. During the development of the Swedish communal tax law (1928:370) the term essential linkage was introduced. There are numerous factors which can affect this assessment but in case-law some factors have been considered more important than others.

Bakgrund: Vid hjärtkirurgi kyls patienten via ECC (extracorporeal circulation) till 32-34 °C för att minska metabolismen och syrekonsumtionen i vävnaderna. Efter att operationen är klar är det viktigt patienten blir normoterm då hypotermi medför många negativa effekter.Syfte: Att undersöka om värmemadrassen Inditherm Alpha® hjälper patienten att hålla en normal kroppstemperatur efter ECC-avslut samt om andra faktorer, dels demografiska, dels procedurrelaterade, kan påverka utfallet av uppmätt kroppstemperatur.Metod: Femtiofem patienter som genomgick elektiv CABG och/eller klaffoperation med ECC-inducerad hypotermi inkluderades konsekutivt. Undersökningsgruppen (n=29) genomgick kirurgi med värmemadrassen Inditherm Alpha® medan jämförelsegruppen (n=26) genomgick kirurgi utan värmemadrass. Grupperna var jämnt fördelade i alla avseenden förutom kön.Resultat: Flertalet patienter sjönk i kroppstemperatur efter ECC-avslut (p < 0,0001) men majoriteten av patienterna var normoterma vid ankomst till intensivvårdsavdelningen. Undersökningsgruppen hade inte högre kroppstemperatur vid något mättillfälle jämfört med jämförelsegruppen.

The aim of this study is to investigate attitudes among relatives and Emergency Department staff, concerning relatives possible presence during resuscitation. Seven scientific articles revises in the studys method. The articles have been searched for in CINAHL, Elin and PubMed. Articles have been analysed using Polit, Beck and Hungler (2001) instructions to evaluate scientific quality. The findings of this study show there it seems no longer appropriate routinely excluding relatives from family presence during resuscitation.

Abstract A phenomenon that has been noticed more and more in media and the public space in recent years is what is called guerrilla gardening. It means the illicit cultivation of someone else?s land. This report's intention is to analyze what impact guerrilla gardening could have on today's urban space in terms of stable changes in norms and physical design. I have also focused on guerrilla gardener?s choice to carry out these actions illegally, without asking for permission, and what impact that could have on the issue of appropriating public space.

Modern forestry requires a high degree of machine traffic for clear felling and scarification operations. The machines most frequently used are big and the traffic often results in tracks on the forest ground. There are many small streams running through a forest, in connection to logging operations, machines might cross these frequently. These crossings could result in the erosion of fine particulate inorganic matter, which ends up in the stream. The aim of this thesis was to give a general description of small forest streams of order-one in the county of Värmland and to determine the frequency of machine tracks in small streams.

Sedan år 2005 har personal vid Sahlgrenska universitetssjukhuset utvecklat ett triage system utifrån Manchester triage system till det svenska Medical Emergency Triage and Treatment System (METTS). Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om METTS är ett stöd för ambulanssjuksköterskor/sjuksköterskor i deras bedömning av patienter. En kvantitativ design har valts genom att samla in enkäter från två olika län i Sverige. Insamlad data sammanställdes via statistikprogrammet Statistical Packagefor Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20.0 och analyserades i deskriptiv och analytisk statistik. I resultatet framkom det att METTS var ett system som hjälpte sjuksköterskorna i ambulansen i sin bedömning av patienter prehospitalt.

Introduktion: Akut hjärtinfarkt är en vanlig dödsorsak. Viktigaste behandlingsinsatsen vid hjärtinfarkt är att snabbt öppna det ockluderade kranskärlet genom primär Perkutan Coronar Intervention (PCI). Viktigt är även att behandlingen förhindrar att kärlet åter ockluderar. Detta görs genom att behandla med det blodproppshämmande och kärlpåverkande läkemedlet Clopidogrel. Enligt en ny behandlingsrutin ges Clopidogrel redan i ambulansen vid konstaterande av hjärtinfarkt för att uppnå effekt så fort som möjligt.

This thesis describes a tool for data mining used to optimize ambulance preparedness. The goal with the tool was that it should be able to retract the information necessary to be able to analyze and calibrate the preparedness model used in the software ResQMap. ResQMap is used by SOS Alarm, who are responsible for the Swedish emergency number 112, as a decision support tool for ambulance operators. It is developed by Carmenta AB, who are the supervisors of the thesis work. Also, a minor study of the preparedness models variables has been performed in order to be able to evaluate the function of the tool.

This final thesis is performed on commission of Torsby forestry administration, Stora Enso Skog. Stora Enso Skog is one of the major forestry companies of Sweden. The main business area is located in and around the region of Bergslagen. During the last decade the practice of forest management has rapidly changed due to a new forest legislation. The new law has resulted in that the production goal is equal to the environmental goal within forestry.
