Föreliggande systematiska litteraturstudie syftade till att samla information och söka evidens för bröstcancerdrabbade kvinnors omvårdnadsbehov från sjuksköterskans i form av stöd för psykiska, sociala eller informativa behov. Sexton vetenskapliga artiklar valdes ut via databasen CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature) och fulltextdatabasen ELIN (Elecronic Library Information Navigator) för vidare granskning. Till sökningen användes sökorden breast*, cancer*, nurs* och support. Alla utvalda artiklar som härrör till syftet kvalitetsbedömdes genom på förhand bestämda granskningskriterier från modifierade förlagor efter Forsberg och Wengström (2003) och Willman, Bahtsevani och Stoltz (2007). Av resultatet framkom det att det fanns stark evidens för att kvinnor med bröstcancer har ett omvårdnadsbehov av socialt stöd, psykiskt stöd och även av information av sjuksköterskan.

Can you ensure that your smoke detector will sense fire and sound the alarm in the middle of the night?In 80 percent of the cases where emergency pulls out, smoke detectors are missing where the fire occurred. In the year of 2009, 118 people in Sweden died in fires ? most of them would have survived if there had been a functioning smoke detector.Earlier development of smoke detectors has mainly been focusing on components that sense smoke and alert in case of fire. But in most cases the problem has not been whether the smoke detector was working or not as fully assembled, but rather that it was missing.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva hur vårdare inom äldrevården upplever sin arbetssituation. Metoden som använts var en beskrivande litteraturstudie. Data samlades in via databaserna Medline via Pubmed och Cinahl. Sökorden nursing homes, elderly care och geriatric care kombinerades med experience och personnel för att ett så stort område som möjligt av äldrevården skulle ingå i sökningen. Sökordet Scandinavia valdes för att författarna ville fokusera studien på skandinavisk äldrevård.

 To enjoy work, and be satisfied in the work you do, is important to most people. Work scientific research shows that dissatisfaction with physical or the psychosocial work environment often gives negative effects on the performed work. The purpose of our study is to chart the experience in work satisfaction and psychosocial work environment amongst nurses within psychiatric care. It is an empiric cross section study. The participants in the study contains nurses who are either employed on a conditional tenure or have a temporary post (>3 months) in policlinics and wards in general adult psychiatric care (n=126).

 Background: Self-injury can be defined as deliberate harm one's own body without conscious intent to commit suicide. These patients need skilled care. Purpose: Illuminate nursing staff attitudes and treatment of patients with self-injury behaviour for individuals diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. Method: A general literature study has been made. Based on the objective was a literature search in various databases with ten relevant articles were selected and reviewed.

This report is a part of the process of enhanced cooperation between fire rescue services in the region of North West Scania. The aim of the report is to study and analyze how the fire rescue service should be structured, in terms of rescue units and personnel, if no account is to be taking to the current organization. Two types of accident are considered in the report, traffic accidents and building fires. These are more affected by decreased response time than other accidents. Several suggested organizations are presented and they are evaluated with the computer program REP.

ABSTRACTIntroduction: Preoperative hand disinfection aims to prevent surgical site infections. After the preparing hand wash, drying is performed using an aseptic technique. It?s important to dry hands thoroughly in order to achieve the full effect of the alcohol based hand disinfection. Due to the lack of a evidence-based guideline on this procedure, the hand drying techniques differ among operating theatre nurses, depending on which technique seen as the most appropriate.

Bakgrund: Personer med diabetes mellitus typ-2 är ofta väl medvetna om komplikationer som föreligger. De lever med rädsla och ångest inför framtiden. Sjuksköterskans roll att stötta och hjälpa personer med diabetes mellitus typ-2 är viktig så vårdtagaren klarar sin egenvård. För att handleda och uppmuntra till egenvård hos vårdtagaren måste sjuksköterskan utgå ifrån evidens vid omvårdnad av diabetes mellitus typ-2. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva effekten av fysisk aktivitet hos personer med diabetes mellitus typ-2.

The aim of this study was to learn how students in specialist nurse education with direction towards nurse anaesthetist experienced tutorial given during their specialist placement.  The chosen method of the study was qualitative interview with phenomenological approach. Twelve nurse anaesthetist students were interviewed about their experiences during their placement at operation wards. The interviews were transcribed and analyzed according to Giorgios (1985) analyze method. The result showed that the students considered that a well functioned tutorial was essential for a successful clinic placement. The tutorial considered as satisfactory if the student and the tutor managed to have good communication and a good relation with each other.

IntroduktionDet är föga dokumenterat hur barnsjuksköterskor upplever att arbeta med att främja anknytningmellan föräldrar och barn inom ramen för neonatal hemsjukvård.SyfteSyftet med denna studie är att undersöka barnsjuksköterskans upplevelse av att främjaanknytningsprocessen mellan barn och föräldrar inom neonatal hemsjukvård.MetodKvalitativ intervjustudie med Fenomenologisk hermeneutisk ansats.ResultatI resultatet framkommer fem huvudteman vilka är: Att samverka, Att vägleda, Att bekräfta ochuppmuntra, Att se och ana och Att vara i hemmet. I den tolkade helheten framkommer det attfrämja anknytning i hemmet bland annat handlar om vad barnsjuksköterskan har för inställning tillanknytning. Detta framkommer när barnsjuksköterskan beskriver vad hon anser är henneshuvuduppgifter. Familjerna kan således ha kommit olika långt i anknytningsprocessen när deskrivs hem till hemsjukvården, beroende på vilket sjukhus de har legat på.DiskussionI hemmet blir föräldrarna trygga, barnsjuksköterskan är gäst i deras hem och är där på derasvillkor. Varje år traumatiseras 200 000 barn och trauma anses vara den vanligaste orsaken till att barn söker sjukvård i Sverige. Sjuksköterskor inom akutsjukvården träffar dessa barn i sitt arbete, men de procedurer och rutiner som finns för omhändertagande av vuxna anses inte direkt vara applicerbara på barn. Syftet med denna studie var att belysa hur specialistsjuksköterskor upplever omhändertagandet av traumatiserade barn. En kvalitativ studie med individuella intervjuer (n=9) genomfördes och analyserades med hjälp av innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i fyra kategorier: upplevelsen av kunskapsbrist, upplevelsen av svårigheter i samband med omhändertagandet, upplevelsen av behovet av god omvårdnadskunskap och upplevelsen av skillnader i gällande rutiner.

Several studies show that the clinical reality in psychiatric care does not correspond to the demand of consumer participation from a variety of policy documents that has been produced recently. Studies also show that there is a lot to do in improving, patients with sever mental illness, becoming more involved in their own care. The nurse has a central role in this work. The Norwegian nursing theorist Jan-Ka?re Hummelvolls holistic, existentialistic model for psychiatric nursing were used as theoretical ground.The aim of this study was to examine how nurses in psychiatric outpatient units, caring for patients with psychotic disorders, experiences consumer participation.Qualitative phenomenological method was used.

Syftet: Syftet med studien var att belysa specialistutbildade sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av transkulturell omvårdnad inom psykiatrisk vård. Metod: Studien genomfördes med en kvalitativ metod med enskilda semistrukturerade intervjuer. Specialistutbildade sjuksköterskor som arbetat inom psykiatrisk vård minst ett år fick berätta om sina erfarenheter av transkulturell omvårdnad.  Resultat: I resultatet framkom det att specialistutbildade sjuksköterskor inompsykiatrisk vård upplever språket som ett hinder för omvårdnaden eftersom språket är så centralt inom psykiatrisk vård då samtal utgör en stor del under vårdtiden. Det visar också att religiösa och kulturella seder kan ha betydelse i möten med patienter från olika kulturer.

Background: According to the Swedish Social Board induced abortions are increasing in the modern day society. Nurses who work with in the gynecological department can come across patients seeking care for an induced abortion.Theoretical framework: The findings of the study will be discussed in relation to Peplau's nursing theory, ethical concepts and nursing concepts.Aim: The aim of the literature review was to illuminate the experiences of nurses working with induced abortion.Method: A systematic literature review with an inductive approach was chosen. The findings are based on seven qualitative and two quantitative studies. The articles were assessed through two different modified templates based on qualitative or quantitative design.Findings: Nurses and midwives experienced their work with induced abortions as emotionally stressful. However, it was highlighted that all women have the right whether to choose abortion or to proceed with the pregnancy.

Due to progresses constantly being made in veterinary medicine combined with increasing knowledge in pet owners, the dogs of today gets older than before. The population of geriatric dogs is there for constantly growing, which makes them an important group of patients on small animal clinics and hospitals. As dogs age, so do their interior organs. Geriatric dogs are prone to several diseases and in this text the author has decided to focus on three of the most common: Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS), cancer and osteoarthritis (AO). All of these illnesses are incurable in dogs, but it is important to remember that they are still treatable.
