Antalet patienter som söker sig till akutmottagning på grund av smärta är mycket omfattande. Smärta är en subjektiv upplevelse, därför är smärtlindring en komplex omvårdnadshandling som ställer höga krav på sjuksköterskans kompetens. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa vad som påverkar sjuksköterskors omvårdnad vid smärtlindring av vuxna patienter på akutmottagning. Studien genomfördes med en systematisk litteratursökning med utgångspunkt i problemformuleringen. Genom strukturerade sökningar identifierades, granskades och analyserades relevant forskning inom området.

The aim of this masters thesis is to examine the supply of magazines and periodicals for young people at the library. We also examine young peoples reading of magazines and periodicals and compare the librarys selection with what young people read. The main questions of this thesis are: What do young people do at the library on their spare time? What weekly magazines and periodicals do young people read? What range of magazines and periodicals do the city- and the school library have? Where is the department located and how is it designed? What kind of relationship is there between young peoples reading and the selection? To answer these questions we have done an interview with a librarian and a questionnaire among 13-16 year old children. We found that it is not often that young people read their magazines and periodicals at the library.

Hematology-instruments that analyze blood cells can at specific cases be followed by manual counting with a hemocytometer. The plastic hemocytometer which has a fixed coverslip and is assigned for disposable use, appears to reduce the problems arising from the use of the traditional glass hemocytometer, for instance coverslip-application difficulty and dust particles. Capillary whole blood sampling may be useful for patients at the Emergency department and in addition, a smaller volume of blood is taken compared to venous blood sampling. This study will focus on the platelet- and leukocyte count (PLT and WBC) in venous and capillary blood, in order to compare the plastic- and glass hemocytometers with Sysmex XN-2000 (Sysmex Corporation, Kobe, Japan), and verify if capillary whole blood sampling can be used for the measurement of these hematological parameters. 30 subjects donated both capillary- and venous blood samples and these blood samples were analyzed with glass- and plastic hemocytometers with Sysmex XN-2000 as the reference method.

Beslutsprocessen vid triage är komplex och triageprocessen bör utföras noggrant. Vid akuta situationer måste snabba beslut tas, oftast med lite information. Det ska under kort tid samlas in data genom observation, frågor och kontroll av vitalparametrar. Syftet med studien var att belysa faktorer som påverkar sjuksköterskans triagering av barn på akutmottagning. Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie där 13 vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades.

This report describes the construction work of a radar antenna for the radar systemCARABAS. CARABAS is a long wave airborne ground radar that has been developed bySAAB Microwave Systems and will now be mounted on a small helicopter, Schweizer 300.The antenna should be able to fold up and down. When the radar is in use the antenna islowered and under transport, start and landing the antenna is folded up. An emergency dropfunction should also be included in the design of CARABAS III.The extent of this report includes construction of the antenna, frame structure attached to thehelicopter, mechanism for folding the antenna up and down and mechanism for emergencydrop function. The mechanical design of the antenna and frame structure is based on modaland stress analysis, vibration measurement of Schweizer 300 and frequency analysis, andcalculations regarding aerodynamic drag and mechanics.The exciting frequencies of the helicopter and accelerations at those frequencies weredetermined by vibration measurement and frequency analysis.

This report is written in cooperation with Eskilstuna municipality public administration for urban planning. The reports purpose is to look into how other public authorities carry out public purchase of consultants and entrepreneurs in the urban planning area. The goal is to come up with suggestions of how Eskilstuna municipality public administration for urban planning can improve its purchasing process in this field in order to minimize the risk where a consultant or entrepreneur files an appeal against the decision of awarding a contract to another rival. The appeal can be filed to the county administrative court.The public administration for urban planning can do its purchases through the model of "lowest price" or "economically most favorable" for them. When using "economically most favorable", the department can value a number of soft parameters by giving them points and the offer which gets most points can be rewarded the right to sign a contract.

When a child is hospitalized, it is usually more than one person who needs attention ? i.e. the child as well as its parents. The emergency ward environment and surgery rooms are unfamiliar and the parents feel anxious, insecure and uncertain about how to act. They are expected to participate in the child?s care, cope with their own anxiety and simultaneously convey a sense of security and stability to the child.

Bakgrund: Till akutmottagningen kommer alla typer av patienter av olika etniciteter, åldrar och kön, med olika skador och sjukdomar och med olika tidigare erfarenheter av hälso- och sjukvården. Patienten har mycket kontakt med sjuksköterskan på akutmottagningen, och därför är det viktigt att mötet mellan sjuksköterskan och patienten uppfattas som positivt. Forskning tyder dock på att detta inte alltid är fallet.Syfte: Att beskriva hur patienten upplever mötet med sjuksköterskan på en akutmottagning.Metod: En litteraturstudie av mixad metod med konvergent design baserad på fem kvalitativa och fem kvantitativa studier.Resultat: Fyra teman framkom: Brist på information och kommunikation; Patienten vill inte vara till besvär; Ointresse och dåligt bemötande samt Bra vård och ett gott bemötande.Slutsats: Mötet mellan sjuksköterskan och patienten på akutmottagningen blev ofta lidande på grund av bristande information, ointresse och dåligt bemötande från sjuksköterskan. Mötet var mer positivt på akutmottagningar på landsbyggden, med anledning av att stressen och arbetsbördan där var lägre.Klinisk betydelse: Genom att öka medvetenheten om problemen som belyses i denna studie och genom att implementera resultatet till akutmottagningar, ges möjligheten att förbättra vården och öka välbefinnandet för patienterna på akutmottagningen..

In central Jönköping, on Munksjöns northern waterside a shopping centre will be built, on the block Atollen. The construction will begin in autumn of 2007 and will be finished according to plan in 2009. Atollens goal is to counteract the competition from external retailers and strengthen the retail trade in the city centre, leading to more attractive and competitive city centre.Atollen will not be a shopping centre in traditional style and design, it will be focused on shopping and experience. The shopping centre shall be a natural venue with a wide and exclusive store mix, concentrated against trend conscious customers. This will be created with the help of a futuristic design and architecture, with light, open and transparent spaces.

The aim of this study was to explore how social workers interpret the part of the Swedish social services act that regulates each municipality?s responsibility of the people staying in it. The study?s general methodological approach connects to sociology of law. The research questions were: (1) What factors are considered important by the social workers in assessments of responsible municipality? (2) Are there variations in the assessments of responsible municipality and in that case; how can the variations be explained? (3) What discretion do the social workers consider that they have in assessments of responsible municipality? Previous studies have found considerable differences in professional social work assessments in Sweden.

Att söka hjälp på en akutmottagning kan många gånger innebära ett första intryck i vårdkedjan på ett sjukhus. Mötet på en akutmottagning är ofta kort, därför är det av stor vikt att bemötandet blir så bra som möjligt. Syftet med studien var att beskriva patienters upplevelser av att söka vård på en akutmottagning. Metoden som användes var en kvalitativ litteraturstudie där 12 vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades med stöd av Burnand (1996) samt en arbetsgång enligt Fribergs (2006) fem steg. Resultatet identifierade sju huvudområden om patienters egna upplevelser på en akutmottagning.

Bakgrund: Hög omsättning av patienter och ett högt arbetstempo på en akutmottagning gör det svårt att etablera en relation. Det har visat sig att det tekniska genomförandet går före omvårdnaden. Mötet spelar en central roll för omhändertagandet vilket bör präglas av medmänsklighet, trygghet och omtanke.Även god kommunikation är en förutsättning för god omvårdnad.Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva patienters upplevelse av omvårdnad på en akutmottagning.Metod:En allmän litteraturstudie, där vetenskapliga studier sökts i databaser varav 13 stycken valts ut.Studierna granskades, analyserades och resultatet delades in i fyra teman.Resultat: De fyra teman är: Patienters upplevelser av medverkan, upplevelser av information, upplevelser av stöd och upplevelser av miljö. Medverkan påverkades framförallt av av hur vårdpersonal väljer att integrera patienter i vården. Upplevelsen av information handlar om och hur informationen ges till patienter.

Syfte: Att undersöka i vilken utsträckning sjuksköterskor på en akutmottagning följde riktlinjer om våldsutsatta kvinnor, sjuksköterskors inställning till att rutinmässigt fråga om våld, sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av att upptäcka och bemöta dessa kvinnor samt om det fanns skillnader mellan öppen- och slutenvård samt mellan kvinnliga och manliga sjuksköterskor. Metod: Tvärsnittsstudie i form av enkätundersökning. Ett bekvämlighetsurval gjordes och enkäter lämnades ut till sjuksköterskor (n=110) på akutmottagningar. Svarsfrekvensen var 45 %. Resultat: Få sjuksköterskor frågade om våld, de flesta gjorde detta endast vid misstanke om våld.

En stor del av anmälningarna som kommer till patientnämnden handlar om dåligt bemötande. Patienter som söker vård ska inte känna sig underlägsna eller otrygga på grund av vårdpersonalens bemötande. Ett professionellt vårdande bemötande kan skänka kraft och öka välbefinnandet hos patienten. Ett ökat välbefinnande kan reducera känslan av ohälsa hos patienten. Den patientgrupp studien fokuserar på är de patienter som kommer till akutmottagningen med en icke-brådskande diagnos.

This master thesis is performed at Scania Axles and Gearboxes, a production plant located in Södertälje. Within the plant axles, gearboxes as well as central gears are assembled from components to finished products. All production is conducted on production lines, with a pre-determined rate, which is supplied with components by the material handling department. Since the production quantity and the mix of product variants produced on the production line is customer order-based, the number and type of components needed for production as well as appropriate staffing within the material handling department is difficult to predict. Scania is currently using a number of different resource planning tools for each material handling-department within Axles and Gearboxes to visualize the workload within the departments.
