Simulation is a vital tool during development of JAS 39 Gripen, since money and time can be saved.The Auxiliary and Emergency Power System, AEPS, is a subsystem of the secondary power system in Gripen. It has the function of providing the aircraft with electrical and hydraulical power before activation and after deactivation of the main engine. The system also functions as backup in case of a safety critical problem in the main power supply system. The system basically consists of a control unit and an auxiliary gearbox. The gearbox is driven by an air turbine.

AimThe purpose of this study is to, from a perspective of a PE teacher, look at how teachers of physical education in elementary school designs and assesses the teaching of swimming. The issues underlying the study are as follows:Which elements are included in the swimming education and how do teachers work with these operations?What does the PE teachers classify as swimming ability and what do teachers experience as obstacles for the students development of swimming ability?How do the PE teachers interpret the knowledge requirement in Lgr 11?MethodThe study is based on six interviews of qualitative nature, with PE teachers from various municipalities in the region of Mälardalen.ResultsThe result yielded by the study is that the swimming classes can take different forms depending on whom the teacher is. Common to all the teachers in the study is that they teach emergency management and lifesaving. When it later comes to teaching how to swim and practice, the teachers who teach in the younger age groups work more concentrated and continuously with swimming, while the teachers who work with the older age groups just checks whether students can swim or not.

The aim of this paper is to examine how teachers experience their possibilities to develop democratic teaching in high school and how they reflect upon their position of power within the teaching situation. Four professional high school teachers have been interviewed for the study. The theoretical perspective of the study is an intersectional view on power and a view on democratic teaching which is partly built on the high school curriculum, but mainly defined by deliberative conversations, anti-oppressive education and norm-critical education. The result of the study is focused on three themes, which were shown in the analysis of the interviews. These themes are: choices of teaching content,  authority of the teacher and democratic teaching.

Svenska Kraftnät is (together with the other transmission system operators of the Nordic power system) responsible for keeping balance between the generated and demanded power in the Nordic power system. Spontaneous load variations and system disturbances, however, lead to power imbalance followed by frequency variations. The frequency deviations can be limited to an acceptable level by the spinning reserve, mainly by hydro power control. But there are also other system properties which have a great influence on the frequency and system stability. The frequency and voltage dependence of the loads have a direct influence on the power balance.

HLSC (Haldex Limited Slip Coupling) är en koppling för fyrhjulsdrift i personbilar, och för-finas ständigt för att ge en bättre funktion och körupplevelse. Kopplingen använder ett hyd-raultryck för att skapa momentöverföring mellan fram- och bakaxel, och därför är en förståel-se för vad som påverkar detta tryck viktigt för utvecklingen. Skapandet av en simuleringsmo-dell av hela hydrauliken i kopplingen är ett sätt att förbättra denna förståelse. I detta arbete har HOPSAN använts för att simulera hydrauliken i HLSC och även den meka-nik som påverkar hydrauliken. Fokus i arbetet har lagts på noggrannhet, numerisk stabilitet och prestanda.

In 2005 the Swedish government introduced a law of amnesty for refugees in the country which made the Minister of Integration invite a number of national organizations to discuss this law. After that, seven organizations in Gothenburg also felt that something should be done and they started talking about a cooperation to improve the situation for newly arrived people to Gothenburg. They formed a project, ?Plattform Göteborg?, which in this paper will be evaluated according to a manual from Sida. The project consists of seven organizations which have their separate activities formed by them to improve the integration.

Cats and dogs are often unattended by their owners both indoors and outdoors, and therefore there is always a risk that they will get hurt. In the past, poisoning cases was considered unusual, but nowadays they are considered more common. As a veterinary nurse, it is important to know the common symptoms of poisoning, especially when working with emergency veterinary care. A very essential part of the profession as a veterinary nurse is to inform pet owners about the potentially dangerous substances and how poisonings can be prevented. The purpose of this report was to find out what is written scientifically about some common poisonings in dogs and cats and to present available statistics that covers the number of animals poisoned by various substances in Sweden. Hopefully this essay can also be used as a handbook for professionals in animal health care and to assist in educating pet owners. The report mainly covers groceries found in many homes, often easy accessible.

I denna studie har insamling av referensdata över språkförståelse hos treåringar med typisk språkutveckling genomförts. Till detta har bedömningsmaterialet Sofialådan (Westerlund & Öfverholm-Engström, 1995) använts. Sofialådan bygger som flera andra språkförståelsematerial på den s.k. act-outmetoden där man låter barnet agera med föremål efter en given instruktion. Med hjälp av föremålen i Sofialådan bedöms barnets förmåga att identifiera grundfärger och storleksbegrepp, kategorisera, flytta föremålenligt olika prepositionsanvisningar samt att följa flerledade instruktioner.

In order to maintain a high safety level at a nuclear power plant it is important not only to measure the reliability of the components and systems of the plant, but also to investigate how the plant responds to human actions. One of the most hazardous situations in managing a power plant is fire occurring in critical areas. This study concerns the prospect of the local fire brigade to suppress a fire that has started in one of the most critical rooms for maintaining high reactor safety. The model created gives an indication on the possibilities of succeeding in suppressing a fire. In order to get a more reliable fire fighting the following advice are given:- Let the fire brigade go rounds in the plant together with the personnel, during which recommended fire suppressing methods are determined to avoid long preparation time in an actual situation.- Prepare rooms with two subsystems to make them partly with no voltage.- Give the fire brigade better feedback from actual events on nuclear power plants.- Education and training in suppressing fires in electrical equipment.The probabilistic safety assessment strives to be as realistic as possible.

Suicidalitet, självskadebeteenden och psykisk ohälsa hos ungdomar är ett ökande problem. Antalet suicid i Sverige har minskat sedan 1980-talet. Men i åldersgruppen ungdomar 15-19 år har suicidantalen istället ökat markant. Suicidpreventiva åtgärdsprogram har införts för att på detta sätt försöka stoppa denna oroväckande utveckling. Syftet med detta fördjupningsarbete var att belysa ungdomars suicidalitet samt sjuksköterskans yrkesroll och förhållningssätt vid vårdandet av dessa ungdomar.

SammanfattningDenna rapport utreder hur ett pekskärmsanvändargränssnitt kan implementeras på Syntronic AB?s hård- och mjukvaruplattform baserad på ARM Cortex-M3.Ett pekskärmsanvändargränssnitt kräver två system, ett tryckkänsligtsystem för att detektera och positionera när användaren ger input till systemet och en skärm för att presentera ett grafiskt användargränssnitt.Rapporten börjar med att beskriva de tillgängliga teknikerna för pekpaneler och skärmar. Detta syftar till att ge djupare kunskap om de olika teknologierna och deras för- och nackdelar. Denna kunskap används sedan för att i samarbete med Syntronic AB utvärdera de olika teknologierna utifrån Syntronic AB?s krav.

Most of the information online is difficult for people with cognitive disabilities to understand and assimilate. In this project I have had the expectation that this is possible to change. In cooperation with FUB, a Swedish organization working for people with cognitive disabilities, I have studied how to adapt content, pictures and writing to persons with the levels of mild to moderate cognitive disabilities. I have also taken the perspective ?design for all?, which means that you adapt a design for the weakest persons in the society to make it work for everyone.The purpose of my work is to study how to create a web text where content, writing and pictures are incorporated.To examine how to do this I have conducted qualitative interviews in which I have let the informants look at and read four different texts.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate if an automation of the manual packaging process at Legosan AB is profitable. Legosan AB, located in Kumla, performs subcontract work of dietary supplements and medical products to companies within Europe. The chapterportal robot is used in the other. As there are several options in the choice of packaging robot the suggestions of improvement are divided into two different designs. Other machines and equipment necessary for the different suggestions of improvement are showed and their measurements are presented.

I detta arbete har kraven för miljöcertifieringarna BREEAM och Miljöbyggnad granskats och sammanställts med lösningsförslag i syfte att användas underprojekteringsfasen vid framtagning av byggprojekt på Sesam Arkitektkontor AB. Det är framförallt de energibesparande åtgärderna som framarbetats då dessa varit extra efterfrågade från beställaren av projektet. Båda certifieringssystemen är väldigt omfattande, med en tydlig målsättning inom energi, miljö och inomhusklimat. Beskrivningarna av systemen innehåller tabeller som tydliggör kraven för att uppnå en viss certifieringsnivå. Inledande i rapporten, beskrivs övergripande de olika certifieringssystemen med tillhörande tabeller där krav för respektive system finns specificerat. Fullständig certifiering enligt systemen kan endast uppnås på färdig byggnad. Det arbete som presenteras i rapporten är framtagna till användning i projektering av byggnader.En plan för att nå de energimål som ställs, presenteras i den manual som utgör produkten av arbetet.

Denna studie syftade till att kvalitativt beskriva psykologers syn på DSM-IV-TR och diagnostiseringen som utförs utifrån denna manual. Den syftade också till att utifrån resultatet diskutera relevanta etiska aspekter. Åtta psykologer vid åtta öppenvårdspsykiatriska mottagningar i Stockholmsområdet intervjuades. Intervjuerna bearbetades tematiskt. Två relevanta etiska aspekter diskuteras utifrån resultatet.
