As most developed countries Norway has an ageing population meaning that the number of pensioners is predicted to grow rapidly over the coming years. As a consequence the Norwegian pension system will not be able to provide for these future pensioners. Meanwhile, a rising number of early retirees and disability pension claimants is diminishing the real retirement age. Also the individual pension amount is growing while the pension system itself reaches maturity. In short, major reforms are needed in the Norwegian pension system.

Lantmäteriet använder idag ett verktyg för fastighetsvärdering, detta verktyg består av ett system med spridd arkitektur för att lagra fastighetsdata och geografisk information. Studien syftar till att undersöka vad det finns för alternativa tekniker och lösningar för att integrera spatialdata och fastighetsdata i samma databas. För att finna svar på detta analyseras litteratur, svar från enkäter som besvarats av slutanvändare samt resultat från djupintervjuer av systemexpter. Resultatet visar att tekniker som t.ex. ArcSDE och Oracle Spatial kan lösa det angivna problemet.

Översvämningar förekommer regelbundet på stora delar av jordklotet. Utgående från de klimatförändringar vi ser idag med, bland annat, kraftigare och intensivare nederbörd är det troligt att det blir fler och större översvämningar framöver. Områden som inte tidigare varit översvämmade kan komma att bli översvämmande. Varje land eller område med regelbundna översvämningar har någon form av varningssystem. Översikter över olika typer av system för att varna för översvämningar är svåra att finna. Syftet med denna uppsats är att:Undersöka viktiga principer för effektiva varningssystem för översvämningar som orsakas av kraftig nederbörd och/eller vårflöden.Skapa en systematisk och strukturerad sammanställning över nuvarande system för att varna för översvämningar orsakade av kraftig nederbörd och/eller vårflöden.Ge praktiska exempel på några svenska kommuners system för att varna för översvämningar. Litteratur- och internetsökningar kring varningssystem för översvämningar samt intervjuer med ?översvämningsansvariga? i Ödeshög och Vetlanda kommuner utgör grunden för informationen i denna uppsats. Exempel på olika typer av varningssystem för översvämningar presenteras.

Common problems with this design are for instance scratch marks on the strip and problems with the flatness measuring system.  One way of circumventing the aforementioned problems would be a non-contact measuring system. The market of today only offers systems based on the Doppler principle.This report evaluates three different systems for non-contact speed measurement. Important areas in the evaluation have been the ability to operate under normal rolling conditions, integration in existing control system and how well the sensor can be fitted to the rolling mill.

This thesis is an attempt to shed light on how the authors of the Swedish Government Official Report, SoU 1999:83, speak about how the globalization affects democracy. The method used is critical discourse analysis and ideological analysis, with the main emphasis on the former. The results of the analysis are then interpreted with central parts of Jürgen Habermas? The theory of communicative action. One of the main conclusions is that an absolute majority of the authors, talk about how the globalization affects democracy in terms of the economic market and the European union.

The government regulations for energy use in buildings will be tightened in the future. At the same time the interest in environmental classifications and certifications of buildings is increasing. This has meant a new situation for solar energy. The designs of solar heating systems are often based on experience and/or rules of thumb, rather than calculations and simulations. This thesis examines whether simulation tools, in this case Polysun, are useful in this work.

Long transport of products is an environmental issue discussed to an increasing extent. The consumers are increasingly aware of how far our comestibles really have been transported. The increasing levels of environmental emissions are something that concerns people. The question is nevertheless delicate and many choose to ignore it. This is no longer an option.

An Interoperable Fare Management system for public transport has been a struggle for the actors in industry of public transport. A lot of effort has been put into creating a smart card solution that enables the travellers to use the same card for paying and holding the ticket regardless geographical position in Sweden. That project has failed, mostly due to a lack of taking non-technical actors and aspects into consideration during the project process. This thesis highlights the major actors and their responsibilities. The ARKTRANS framework is used as analytical tool to identify different roles. Throughout the thesis a sociotechnical perspective is used. The developed method in this thesis is suitable for mapping of actors and responsibilities in a network surrounding a complex technical system.

Vertical hydropower units has a rotating mass of up to 1000 tons. For the generator and turbine to work well the rotating system is required to be centered in relation to the surrounding structure. This is achieved by means of radial bearings. The dynamic characteristics of these bearings have a strong impact on the overall rotational dynamics of the total system and thus influence the vibrations in the unit. At Vattenfall Research & Development in Älvkarleby ongoing research is taking place on how the bearing parameters should be represented in the rotor dynamic calculations.

The Library of Uppsala University has decided to change their classification system from the Swedish SAB system to the American Dewey Decimal Classification. One of the main reasons for this decison was that Kungliga biblioteket also has made an exchange between these systems. Due to that, the national bibliography of Sweden classifies Swedish documents according to Dewey Decimal Classification and the SAB system is no longer maintained. A transition to Dewey Decimal Classification will enable Swedish librarians to import foreign catalouge posts and classification codes and will provide them with a common standard between their libraries and other libraries due to the use of the same international classification system. It is disputed whether the Dewey Decimal Classification is equally suitable for all subjects.

This thesis was made possible by the company Verendus system AB, which is the leading developer of dealership management systems in the caravan and camper market. The goal of the thesis was to create a statistics module for a new producer system envisioned by Verendus. The new system is aimed at manufacturers and importers of caravans and campers, with the goal of enabling its users to create more effective production lines. By providing statistical data to mentioned users they will be able to predict market trends and customize their production lines accordingly. Today such software does not exist which leads Verendus to think that its arrival would lead to a success on the market.Before the development and design of the producer system began, a new agile method had to be developed, MAM (Minimum Agile Method).

Denna rapport behandlar en prisjämförelse mellan fyra olika elsystem i fyra valda referensmiljöer. Uppdragsgivaren till detta projekt är företaget Arexor som har utvecklat en ellist som de ska släppa på marknaden under hösten och därför vill ha en prisbild på marknaden idag. De olika systemen är i huvuddel Thorsmans TEK-123, KB-systems DWP, Eubiqs PTS samt det traditionella sättet med kablar och VP-rör infällda i väggen. Även en presentation av projektets uppdragsgivare Arexor och deras ETS finns att läsa om. För att kunna utgå från en realistisk bakgrund är referensmiljöerna valda så att en standard kan sättas för utformningen.

Ett företag kan göra sina för- och efterkalkyler i MPS-systemet eller i ekonomisystemet. Hur den ekonomiska uppföljningen är fördelad mellan de olika systemen är helt upp till företaget med avseende på företagets olika behov och krav.Den centrala delen av detta examensarbete är de besöksintervjuer som genomförts på fyra utvalda företag. Dessa intervjuer ligger till grund för mitt resultat och analys. Utifrån det insamlade materialet har jag besvarat den frågeställning jag hade: Hur hantering med för- och efterkalkyler sköts samt hur ekonomisk uppföljning är fördelad mellan MPS-system och ekonomisystem.Det resultat och slutsatser som jag kommit fram till finns presenterat i denna rapport. Det visade sig att de undersökta företagen sköter arbetet med förkalkyler noggrant.

The thesis presented in this report has been made on behalf of Scania and their basic frame design department with the subject to solve an implementation of a weight sensing system in the chassis. The system is supposed to be implemented in the seat springs, and the reason for this is that all the force will have to go through the weight sensing transducers. With all the force going through the transducers the weight sensing system will not be sensitive for the differences in tolerances from manufacturing. The transducers could be pre-calibrated to avoid a calibration of the whole vehicle after it?s completed from the manufacturing line.Weight sensing systems is today a reality in trucks with air springs.
