Bakgrund: För att kunna stilla kunders behov och skapa kvalitet och därigenom värde, krävs kunskap. Två teoribildningar som talar om värde och kvalitet respektive kunskap var för sig är Service Management och Knowledge Management. Service Management är huvudsakligen externt orienterad medan Knowledge Management är näst intill uteslutande internt orienterad, vilket medför att vissa "spänningar" återfinns dem emellan. Frågan är hur dessa"spänningar"hanteras i kunskapsföretags värdeskapande. Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att analysera vad Service respektive Knowledge Management bidrar till i förståelsen för kunskapsföretags värdeskapande.

Thermia Värme AB is one of the market leading manufactures of heat pumps. In order tomaintain this position, the company wants to improve the vibration characteristics of theirproducts. The aim of this thesis is to develop product design changes that lead to a reductionof vibrations in the heat pump Thermia Diplomat 8.The main cause for vibrations in the system is flow pulsation and mechanical forces inducedby the scroll compressor. Vibration is transmitted through the compressor piping and receivedby the heat exchangers, from where it is further transmitted to the connection points for theradiator and heat source circuits.A number of design changes in order to improve the vibration characteristics have beenevaluated through calculations and practical experiments. The changes have included thecompressor and heat exchanger mountings, the compressor suction and discharge line pipingand also pulsation dampening.The results of the experiments show that the vibration levels in the connections for the heatingand brine circuits can be decreased strikingly through changes in suction and discharge linepiping.

Denna studie utforskar hur en informationsgrafik om ett framtida globalt hot mot folkhälsan, antibiotikaresistens, kan utvecklas och utformas med ett perspektiv mot individens ansvar istället för den mer vanligt förekommande nyhetsvinklingen mot myndigheters ansvar. Detta inom ett statiskt format för publicering i svenska dagspressen.  Uppdragsgivare för grafiken var TT Nyhetsbyrån. Arbetet utgick från tidigare publicerad grafik angående antibiotikaresistens från nyhetsbyrån. För att finna förbättringsmöjligheter genomfördes en formalanalys på materialet.

The Master of Science in Energy Systems Engineering program at Uppsala University started in 2000 and 221 students has graduated since. This master thesis aims to answer what competencies alumni considers most important for successful professional practice. It also seeks to find out how these competencies are reflected in the program to identify potential gaps between importance and how the competencies are being prepared. With inspiration from similar research a method has been developed consisting of two steps: (1) A survey and (2) interviews with alumni. The alumni survey rates the professional importance of 13 competencies and how well the corresponding competency is prepared in the program.

Uppsatsarbetet bygger på 21 PM-arbeten från en högskolekurs i entreprenörskap där studenterna fått i uppgift att intervjua en entreprenör och komma tillbaka med en skapelseberättelse värd att berätta. PM-arbetet bygger på tre frågeställningar som bildar stommen i intervjuarbetet: 1. Hur fick entreprenören sin idé? 2. Hur utvecklades idén till en affärsidé? 3.

Sirat Antar är ett arabiskt folkepos med fästen långt tillbaka i tiden. Detta epos har berättats under åtminstone flera hundra år, och dess innehåll berör stora delar av den arabiska historien, ända tillbaka till förislamisk tid. I dagens samhälle är berättelsen fortfarande välkänd och populär, och utifrån personliga samtal under resor jag gjort i Mellanöstern vågar jag påstå att de allra flesta känner till den hjältemodige Antara och hans förälskelse i Abla. Berättelsen filmatiserades i en egyptisk produktion år 1960 och filmen Antar the black Prince ? Antara bin Shaddad finns fortfarande att köpa i butiker och marknadsstånd.

LättElement AB är ett företag som är placerat i Örnsköldsvik och är ett av Sveriges ledande företag när det kommer till prefabricerade Element av tak, väggar och bjälklag. De bygger med en smart konstruktion där de använder sig av en plywoodskiva överst på Elementet för att denna ska ta hand om tryckspänningarna. Mitten av Elementet är byggt med I-balkar där flänsarna är gjort med konstruktionsvirke, livet består av en OSB-skiva som ska ta skjuvspänningarna i konstruktionen. Undersidan av Elementet spikas det på en stålplåt för att hantera de dragpåkänningarna som påverkar Elementet. Ibland måste LättElement AB skarva deras balkar för att uppnå de längder man vill ha.

This thesis describes the planning and development of a volume meter of pine and spruce cones. The product was designed and developed for Stigsjö Skog och Frö AB in Härnösand. It was developed taking into account a number of requirements set by the supervisor David Zetterlund. The main requirements were that the volume measurement would be fast and give accurate results. These are two requirements that are missing in today's volume measuring method which is very problematic for the company.The plant was visited several times in Härnösand, mainly to discuss the generated concepts with the supervisor and perform tests on the prototype.

This case study examined what impact the neurological disorder Asperger?s syndrome has on the line of reasoning about religion and spirituality. Also, the question of whether the four informants showed any tendency to use the cognitive tools calledtheory of mind (ToM), existential theory of mind (EToM) and hypersensitive agency detection device (HADD) or not was put forth. From the interviews five themes were extracted: a stereoscopical view upon the world, thoughts on physical causality, prayer used as one-way communication, spiritual agency and intentionality, as well as existential and social questions. These themes were subsequently matched with theories on ToM, EToM and HADD.

The essay investigates the visual Element as seen by the audience and artist to be of greatest importance to a musicalperformance. The study was conducted in the form of a field work which included doing interviews with artists, surveys of the audience and interpretive observations of live performance. The fieldwork was conducted in three different environments in which I found myself on the spot and performed the various stages included in the field work. It was done to create a surface that could be used in an essay, and through that use this material to compare and analyze my results and in the end be able to answer my questions. I started from eight different factors which all could beexperienced visually on stage.

In preparation for the autumn term in 2011, the Swedish Elementary school adopted newsyllabuses regarding,inter alia, the civic education (Sw. Samhällskunskap). The civiceducation has traditionally been a disciplinary subject with a main purpose of mediatingdemocratic values as well as providing general orientation in the society. Generally, the civiceducation intends to reflect the world in which people live in, being a complex society whichto a large extent is regularly affected by global aspects and developments.The purpose of this study is to review all the Elementary school?s syllabuses relating to thecivic education with specific focus on the globalisation perspective.

Calcareous fens constitute a specific habitat which is uncommon in Europe and protected by the EU habitat directive due to its importance to several threatened species. Hagebyhöga in Östergötland is a calcareous fen habitat included in the Natura 2000 Networking Programme. Adjacent to the existing fen, a degraded fen area is situated. The area has been used for agriculture for several years but is now going to be restored to its former state by the county administrative board of Östergötland.When working with restoration of degraded fen areas it is important to aquire knowledge about the chemical soil conditions. Plant growth limited by phosphorus and low fertility are characteristic conditions for calcareous fens, whilst arable land usually is highly fertile and limited by nitrogen.The purpose of this study is to bring forth useful knowledge for restoring the degraded calcareous fen of Hagebyhöga.

The purpose of my study is using a narrative approach from a student perspective through the feelings that show the cultural encounters of immigrant students with the Swedish school. I want through my study have an understanding of how students are affected in their interaction with the Swedish culture. I also want to analyze and understand their feelings and experiences. Are emotions negative or positive? My theoretical framework includes the following concepts: Emotions, treatment, ethnicity, identity and code-switching.An important Element of my study is to understand students' emotional experiences.

Denna reflexiva rapport är menad att guida läsaren genom mitt arbete som designer under designmomentet: utveckling av stridssystem till spelet Colosseum. Texten är skriven på dagboksform för att ge en inblick i mina framgångar och motgångar i utvecklingen. Eftersom arbetet pågår mellan två spel har jag valt att kalla det första Colosseum för PreGen (Previous Generation) och det nya för NextGen (Next Generation). Frågorna jag strävat efter att besvara är om jag kan identifiera de tråkiga bitarna med PreGen och hur jag ska gå tillväga för att inte göra om tidigare misstag. De tråkiga bitarna identifierades snabbt med speltestning samtidigt som mina tidigare erfarenheter hjälpte mig undvika dessa misstag under utvecklingen av det nya systemet.Vid framtagningen av kontrollschemat har jag låtit mig inspireras av tidigare, lyckade spel samtidigt som jag satt min egen prägel på det.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att synliggöra diskurser kring äldre i en offentlig text samt vilka konsekvenser dessa kan medföra för äldre inom äldreomsorgen utifrån begrepp som makt, socialt ordningskapande och åldersordning. För att uppnå detta syfte har vi studerat den statliga offentliga utredningen ?Värdigt liv i äldreomsorgen? (SOU 2008:51). Metod och teori har varit en kritisk diskursanalys som betraktar att diskurser genom språk och text är en del av konstruerandet av den sociala verkligheten. Den kritiska diskursanalysen uppmärksammar även att det finns icke-diskursiva Element som påverkar diskurser i dialektik.
