Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ fallstudie där vi har jämfört två olika forskningsintensiva branscher utifrån en checklista. Utifrån teori och empirisk data har vi analyserat branscherna. Syftet är att undersöka i en jämförande studie, vilka avvägningar som forskningsintensiva företag gör innan de lämnar ut frivillig information avseende FoU och till vilken nytta dessa avvägningar görs.Våra slutsatser är att finns både tydliga branschlikheter som branschskillnader. I båda branscherna lämnar företag mycket information om färdig forskning och produktportfölj. Syftet med att lämna frivillig information är att kunna fortsätta konkurrera på en marknad som präglas av hyperkonkurrens, där företag är i ständigt behov av nytt kapital för att finansiera fortsatt FoU..

The relation between LIS and physical bibliography is examined primarily through an analysis of such LIS literature as applies physical bibliography in research or otherwise discusses its relevance to information studies. Quite a number of scholars are stressing the usefulness of this bibliographical tradition, even though its position in LIS agenda as a whole seems to be less established. These scholars suggest that physical bibliography presents interesting conceptual and theoretical implications for many of the central objects of study in LIS, for example, knowledge organization, information retrieval, and information seeking. It is also suggested that physical bibliography could help deepen our knowledge and understanding of the digital media ecology. Physical bibliography is foremost seen as a method for the analysis of documents, a method in which not least its terminological apparatus may be a significant tool.

The purpose of this study was to find out what are the information needs of the nurses and if the hospital library can satisfy these needs, and see how the hospital library reaches the nurses with their information provision. The main questions are: what kinds of service exist at the hospital library? What kinds of needs have the nurses concerning the hospital library? How are the needs satisfied by the hospital library? What marketing strategies are used by the hospital library to reach out to the nurses? Is it enough to achieve the goal? The method in this study was a case study with the emphasis on the qualitative interviews. The study was conducted at the hospital library at Södra Älvsborgs Sjukhus in Borås. The interviews concerned the nurses views on the hospital library, information needs and marketing.

In this paper we have examined why seniors do not use e-business to the same extent as other age groups. Seniors belong to the age group that, according to statistics from Statistics Sweden (SCB) in 2011, utilizes e-business the least in relation to the number who use the internet. To understand how seniors reason and perceive the possibility to shop on the internet, we have conducted four interviews with people from 65 years and older. We have let the respondents answer questions regarding utility aspects, e-business interfaces, general shopping habits, risks, and whether or not they usually shop online. We also found out how seniors reason when they sell products and services.

Sverige har under många år varit ledande i e-förvaltningsarbetet och har utformat ett flertal handlingsplaner för införandet. E-förvaltningsarbetet har drabbats av svårigheter och problem under åren och år 2008 startades e-förvaltningsarbetet om med en ny handlingsplan. Även denna handlingsplan har utsatts för kritik såsom att det bara en vision som saknar riktlinjer hur e-förvaltningsarbetet skall realiseras. Ledande personer inom forskningsämnet anser att handlingsplanen inte är tillräcklig för att stödja och leda kommunerna i e-förvaltningsarbetet. Studien syftar till att undersöka hur handlingsplanen omvandlas till styrning och strategier i offentliga förvaltningar.

Bakgrund: Föräldrar är ofta oroliga i samband med barnets operation. Studier har visat att god information till föräldrarna kan minska denna oro. Dock har studier även visat att föräldrar till barn som ska opereras får ofta bristfällig information både pre-, per- och postoperativt.Syfte: Syftet med den här studien är att ta reda på hur föräldrar till barn som har opererats, på ett barnsjukhus i mellersta Sverige, upplevde informationen de har fått pre-, per- och postoperativt.Metod: Kvalitativa intervjuer genomfördes med nio deltagande föräldrar. Data analyserades med innehållsanalys.Resultat: Den skriftliga hemskickade informationen upplevdes bristfällig då information om operationen samt hemsidan saknades. Den muntliga preoperativa informationen upplevde vissa föräldrarna som tillräcklig då de fick information angående operationen.

The city of Kalmar has a desire that their 3D maps of the city should come to a greater use and get residents more involved in Kalmar city. The purpose of this report is to show one way to work with these 3D maps when it comes to presenting information about Kalmar for its residents and tourists in a specific area.  The report also includes information about advantages and disadvantages with the use of 2D and 3D maps in different environments. Various reports and other sources indicate an interest in 3D and a use for this, but even that 2D is still seen as a natural way to read a map. By collecting information from relevant literature, interviews and user testing, the group has obtained sufficient background information to present the results of a web site, where the visitor can navigate in both 2D and 3D in a specific area of Kalmar. User tests and surveys have been conducted in two rounds and the web site has been revised after their results..

Internet har under de senaste decennierna haft en explosionsartad utveckling och transparensen som finns har öppnat många nya dörrar. Tillgängligheten har lett till att e-handel tar allt fler marknadsandelar och blir allt vanligare. Detta har dock väckt diskussion kring tillit och trygghet på Internet i allmänhet och vid e-handel i synnerhet. Avsikten med studien är att utröna vad det är som skapar tillit vid e-handel och syftet är att bidra med nya tillskott till den redan befintliga forskningen. Via en kvalitativ undersökning med personliga konsumentintervjuer som forskningsmetod har nya aspekter inom e-handel och tillit plockats fram.

The study aimed to evaluate the information and training the stoma therapist at Uppsala University Hospital has given to patients who have recently undergone stoma surgery. The study was a descriptive cross-sectional study using qualitative and quantitative design. A total of 22 patients who completely or partially took care of their stomas and recently had undergone stoma surgery participated by answering a questionnaire. At discharge most of them experienced they were relatively well-informed but they wanted more information. Before the revisit they weren?t especially safe or comfortable.

Sammanfattning.Bakgrund:Crush syndrome eller traumatisk rahbdomyolys är vanligt vid större naturkatastrofer som tex jordbävningar. Det kan också uppkomma när personer utsätts för tryck mot musklerna vid tex stroke, intoxikationer, byggnadsras, industriolyckor. Inom ambulanssjukvården i Sverige har vi inte någon behandlingsplan för detta tillstånd och därför kan det finnas en risk att dessa patienter inte får rätt omvårdnad.Syfte:Studiens syfte var att belysa ambulanssjuksköterskans omvårdnad vid risk för Crush syndrome.Metod:En litteraturstudie gjordes för att granska redan publicerat forskningsmaterial. Sökningarna gjordes i databaserna Cinahl och Pubmed. Fem artiklar inkluderades och innehållet analyserades med manifest innehållsanalys.Resultat:De patienter som riskerar att få Crush syndrom har följande symtom: skada på muskelmassa, förlängd kompression, komprimerad lokal cirkulation, puls >120 och onormal urinfärg.

This Master's thesis in library and information science aims to shed light on the concept of information literacy in higher education, particularly as manifested in two dissertations on the subject. Two models of information literacy are compared: Christina Doyle's list of ten attributes for students to master and Christine Bruce's seven conceptions of information literacy. The cognitive-behaviourist tradition in Doyle's study and the alternative, phenomenographic approach in Bruce's research are compared and commented. The taxonomies and internal relationship between separate components in the two models are investigated, as well as the ways the models relate to each other. The respective views of knowledge and learning are described.

This two years master?s thesis consists of a domain analysis on the local Swedish newspaper Gefle Dagblad (GD). The domain analysis was developed by the Danish library and information scientist Birger Hjørland. The purpose of this theory is to understand the information behavior of individuals by studying the social and collec-tive context which surrounds this person. According to Hjørland, four different areas need to be studied in order to analyze a domain.

The potential of information technology as a means to invigorate democratic practise is constantly under discussion. Regardless of the differing opinions as to the most suitable way to utilise IT, there are certain democratic core values that have to be considered. One of these is freedom of information, defined by us as the right of every citizen to seek, obtain and express information. The aim of this study is to explore whether the use of IT as a means to enhance democracy can strengthen the citizens right to freedom of information. As an instrument for analysis we use an article by Jan van Dijk, professor of communication science.

Bakgrund: Palliativ vård innebär den lindrande och stödjande vård som ges till patienter när kurativ vård inte längre är effektiv. Kommunikation mellan sjuksköterska och patient är en av den palliativa vårdens fyra hörnstenar och utgör en betydande del av omvårdnaden kring dessa patienter. Kommunikationen kan involvera svåra besked, emotionella och existentiella frågor samt tragiska sanningar. Syfte: Att undersöka hur blivande och legitimerade sjuksköterskor kan utbildas för kommunikation med patienter som vårdas palliativt. Metod: Litteraturstudie med viss systematik.

This essay focuses on tourists' information seeking. The main focus was to examine whether there is a connection between how the informants in different tourist styles the different tourist styles are presented by Eva Wolf as the tourist of recreation, action, culture, compromise, and individualism seek information to their forthcoming vacation. The result was reached through a qualitative method, where ten informants with various tourist roles were interviewed separately. The informants were chosen by personal contacts. In addition to these interviews, three representatives from the tourist industry were contacted and interviewed by e-mail.
