This is a report for a bachelor degree thesis in Electronics at Umeå university. The target was to design a fully functional PCB-layout and then solder components to it. In order to do that I had to first proofread a schematic of the system to find things that were not correct and correct them. The project is a cooperation between the author and the company Calmon Stegmotorteknik. During the whole project the people at Calmon supported the author with the appropriate knowledge to complete the tasks.

This thesis for the Master of Science degree was performed at Oppunda Electronics AB. The assignment was to further develop an existing prototype of a dispensing equipment. The dispensing equipment doses a kind of glue, bonding which dentist use to mend teeth. The dispensing equipment is adjusted to dose 12 micro litres of bonding. With the dispensing equipment SafeBond Electronic the user can reduce the bonding consumption with approximately 50 percent.

In Abisko National Park there are a numberof weather stations. To be able toretrieve the data from the nodes in thefuture a Quadrocopter-prototype has beendeveloped during this master thesisproject as a first step. Telia Telesvar is an automatic anwering machine that is provided in your stationary telephone at home. The drawback of this is that you cannot see if anyone has called you. This report describes how a terminal for Telias Telesvar could be designed. Telesvar terminal will show in a display if anyone called you and show the incoming number. It will also play the spoken message in a built in speaker.

In this thesis a number of energy saving methods for a multiplier on algorithmic level are investigated. For the investigation a multiplier is constructed in VHDL, after which the circuit's performance is investigated. A number of techniques for reduced power consumption are introduced in the circuit and are then evaluated. The conclusions are that all investigated methods, pipelining, interleaving and voltage scaling, should be maximally made use of in order to minimize the power consumption..

The purpose with this examination is to build a measureequipment to AerotechTelub AB (AT), who will registrate fault in SRAM-memory in contact with cosmic radiation. The equipment will be created around developcard from Memec Design with FPGA from Xilinx. The logic in the FPGA will be implemented with the hardwaredescribed language VHDL. Detecting small signals with a comparator demands that the total voltage offset is lower than the actual signal. The total offset includes the voltage offset in the comparator and the voltage offset that is created by the offset currents that flows thru the load at the comparators input. The motivation for use an adaptive simulated annealing method for analog circuit design are to increase the efficiency of the design circuit. To demonstrate the functionality and the performance of the approach, an operational transconductance amplifier is simulated. This thesis is performed at Saab Bofors Dynamics in Karlskoga and investigates a technique for ranging with laser pulses. The investigated technique is called Constant Fraction Detection (CFD). Described briefly, the received laser pulse is split into two equal parts, where one part is delayed half the pulse width and inverted. This signal is added to the original pulse. The resulting curve has the shape of a laying S and the detection of the zero level is used to stop the time measurement.
