Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka vilka föreställningar flickor och pojkar har om boxning, om kön och om varandras fysiska förmåga.Vilken är synen på boxning i ämnet idrott och hälsa hos några pojkar och flickor i en årskurs 5?Vad kan flickors och pojkars deltagande i en boxningslektion och utsagor om sitt deltagande säga om deras syn på flickors och pojkars föreställningar om kön?Vad kan flickors och pojkars deltagande i en boxningslektion och utsagor om sitt deltagande säga om flickors och pojkars fysiska förmåga?Metod Undersökningen är kvalitativ och baserad på teoretiska undersökningar om genus, idrott och idrottshistoria. Undersökningen innefattar åtta kvalitativa intervjuer och ett boxningspass med barn i en årskurs 5. Samtliga intervjupersoner kommer från en och samma skola. Intervjuerna med barnen spelades in och transkriberades ordagrant.

Världen blir allt mer globaliserad och många företag väljer att försöka etablera sig påutländska marknader. Då varje lands marknad är unik kommer målmarknaden alltid att ivissa aspekter skilja sig från den inhemska marknaden. Att identifiera dessa skillnader äravgörande för att företagens internationalisering skall lyckas. Även mellan närliggandemarknader, som ur många perspektiv kan vara likartade, existerar skillnader inom kultur,organisationsstruktur och andra områden. Dessa kan vara väl maskerade och med dettaföljer en risk att företag antar att marknaderna är mer lika än vad de i realiteten är.Med denna uppsats ämnar författarna att analysera betydelsen av psykisk och institutionelldistans mellan närliggande marknader vid internationalisering av ett företag.

The aim with this essay is to find out what the expected changes in the subject physics will lead to for teachers and their pupils in ?gymnasiet?. The new fields we have chosen to focus on are electronic structure of condensed matter, nanotechnology and material physics. By studying earlier used curricula and textbooks, we illustrate what teachers may have come into contact with in their teaching careers. The main focus lies on what teachers claim to know about the fields mentioned above and if there is a need for further education.

Applications for mobile devices, also known as apps, are today the backbone of a huge market where the company Apple is one of the key players. Apple develops, among other things, handheld electronic devices, which are powered by the operating system iOS. Through iOS, millions of customers get access to Apple?s App Store.During a period of two months, an app in the form of a game has been developed for iOS in the programming language Objective-C. The user of the app is presented intuitive menus and interactive graphical objects that seemingly obey physical laws.

The purpose of this thesis is to historically describe how Fédération Internationale deFootball Association (FIFA) interprets how the discourse of anti-racism has developed withintheir own organization throughout the years. In doing so, the thesis lands in a present timeperspective and then aims to identify the norms which FIFA, according to the organizationitself, stands for in regard to anti-racism within world football. That standard of behavior isthen put in contrast with the hidden ideological conceptions which, with the applying of apost-colonial perspective, can be found in the rhetoric used by FIFA in expressing themselvesabout their anti-racism stand.The methodology used in this thesis builds upon a qualitative text analysis approach inwhich solely primary sources available through the official website fifa.com are considered.The study finds that anti-racism is a relatively young concept within FIFA and that the communicatedideal standard of behavior circles around terms such as unity, diversity, solidarityand equality. Further on, FIFA clearly articulates how the universal power of football as suchcan unite people and that FIFA, as the administrator of this the world?s greatest sport, can setan example for the rest of the world to follow when it comes to notions of tolerance and solidarityin preventing racism in the future.In following the terminology provided by the post-colonial theorists Homi Bhabha andGyatri Spivak, and applying the concepts of fixity and essentialism on the rhetoric aroundanti-racism, the study discovers that FIFA, in sharp contrast to the articulated norms, in factexpress ideological conceptions of skin as a barrier of difference between people, and thatFIFA on good grounds can be accused of reproducing racist stereotypes rather than bridgingthem.The study concludes that its findings clearly demonstrates the increased need of consideringsports, and more specifically international sport organizations, as a basis for researchwithin the academic field of International Relations, and that a postcolonial perspective verymuch can provide alternative understandings of how these actors operate and what influencethey might have in the international system..

Effects of Menstrual Cycle and Oral Contraceptives on Sport Performance During the menstrual cycle, there is a variation of the female steriod hormones estrogen and progestogen. These hormones has mainly reproduktive functions, but do also affect other physiological systems, which may have an influence on athletic performance. The use of oral contraceptives among female athletes matches the use among the general population. There is a concern among female athletes and there coaches weather oral contraceptives can affect the performance. The purpose of this litterature review is to determine the effect of the menstrual cycle and the use of oral contraceptives on athletic performance.

The horse has been domesticated for several thousand years. It has gone from being used primarily for food and transportation, to become one of the most popular pets in Sweden. With over 150,000 practitioners, horseback riding is one of the biggest sports in Sweden and there is a variety of specializations to choose from. One orientation is western riding which is a broad sport with several disciplines where most originate in cattle work and other ranch tasks. Western riding is a growing sport in Sweden with an increasing number of practitioners and with many different organizations and associations, it is important that the correct knowledge of the equipment used is disseminated. Artificial aids are available in a variety of designs and the most common variants used by western riders in Sweden is draw reins or some forms of martingale.

This study presents a survey of the seroprevalence of Toxoplasma gondii and Neospora spp. in equids in three municipalities in Pará, a Brazilian state with the Amazonian rainforest and the Amazon River as dominating features. A case study was conducted on two Swedish retailers, CDON and Homedownloads.

Ordet spel och dess betydelse är svårt att beskriva. Spel har många definitioner och studien kommer därför att använda ordet spel för att beskriva applikationer, datorspel, hemsidor och geografiska verktyg. Jag är uppmärksammad på att det finns stora skillnader mellan datorspel och exempelvis Google Earth och har inte som avsikt att klassificera dessa som samma. Dock kommer samtliga att beskrivas som spel eller teknologi, främst för att det underlättar läsningen. Idag använder allt fler personer dator och Internet.

Ridning är Sveriges näst största sport, bara fotbollen är större. För många tjejer är stallet mer än en plats där själva sporten utövas. Stallet blir till en slags fritidsgård där nästan all ledig tid spenderas, även om själva ridaktiviteten ibland utförs endast en gång per vecka. Vad stallvistelsen betyder för tjejernas identitetsutveckling vet vi inte särskilt mycket om. Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på hur tiden i stallet påverkar tjejerna i deras identitetsutveckling.Studien genomfördes med en kvalitativ metod.

Syfte och frågeställningI hur stor utsträckning används tävlingspraktiken i Idrott och Hälsa, och hur påverkar detta ämnets karaktär?Jag ska i min undersökning försöka se hur elever i skolan upplever tävlingar under idrotten i skolan. Jag kommer att använda mig av Lars-Magnus Engströms (2002) teori om idrottens praktiker och logiker, vilka redogörs närmare för under punkten Teoretiskt perspektiv. Jag vill finna de känslor och tankar som uppstår då eleverna försätts i den s.k. tävlingspraktiken, där aktiviteten i sig handlar om jämförande.

The purpose of this essay, entitled ?Heja Sverige! Heia Norge?, was to study the difference in nationalistic tendencies between Swedish and Norwegian news coverage of the 2015 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun, Sweden, which took place between 18 February and 1 March 2015. It was the fourth time the event took place in Falun, previous games having been held in 1954, 1974 and 1993.I performed a critical discourse analysis of a total of twelve articles split over two race days ? one where Swedish athletes outperformed Norwegian athletes and vice versa. I did this order to study if the news coverage in each of the two countries? most promininent sports papers; Sportbladet in Sweden and VG Sport in Norway, was charaterized by a nationalistic discourse, as well as comparing the two to find similarities and differences between them.Having based my analysis on theories and previous research regarding media events, nationalism, national identities, ?us and them?, imagined communities et cetera, I came to the conclusion that a nationalistic discourse is, without a doubt, present in the news coverage ? something very unique for sports journalism as a genre.
