Bakgrund: Genomgång av aktuellt kunskapsläge visar att patienter har andliga behov och att de flesta uppskattar att diskutera detta med sjuksköterskor. Sjuksköterskor har vetskapen om betydelsen av andlighet i omvårdnaden och visar förståelse i praktiska kunskaper, ändå blir patienters andliga behov inte bemötta. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att belysa patienters andliga behov ur patienters eget perspektiv. Metod: Det är en litteraturöversikt grundad på tio vetenskapliga originalartiklar publicerade mellan 1997 och 2011. Resultat: Fem teman identifierades: Kärlek till de närmaste, Närhet till det gudomliga, Acceptans av ödet, Människovärde och Strävan efter sanningen.

Hospital records of 32 non-racehorses referred to Skara Animal Hospital and Halland Animal Hospital, Sweden, between January 1995 and September 2001 for intraarticular fractures of the third phalanx, were reviewed, and follow-up information on final outcome was collected to determine whether any injury or treatment factors could be associated with the outcome. Mean age of the horses was 8.3 years (range, 1-20 years), and follow-up time ranged from 1 to 7 years after injury. In 11 (34%) of the horses, injury involved the front limbs. Twenty-two (69%) horses returned to their original level of use. There was no statistically significant correlation between outcome and elapsed time from injury to treatment, treatment variables, or bony union in the present study.

Detta är en rapport över mitt examensarbete som utfördes för Motion Control AB i Västerås.Uppgiften bestod i att ta fram en prototyp för en handhållen ljudlokalisator för döva. Projektet harinneburit arbete med allt från marknadsundersökningar till lödning. Projektet innehåller såvälanalog elektronik som programmering.Mycket tid gick åt till själva förarbetet, kanske lite väl mycket då det kändes som halva tiden gick åtinnan jag kunde komma igång och arbeta. Jag lyckades få fram en prototyp där allt fungeradeförutom mikrofonerna, de visade sig vara för känsliga för att löda för hand. Dock så har projektetvarit mycket lärorikt och intressant..

De senaste 10-15 åren har behovet av avancerade vårdinsatser i hemmet alltjämt ökat och möjligheterna att vårda patienter med komplicerade sjukdomstillstånd har blivit mer möjliga. Detta har medfört att kraven på de såväl medicinska som de specifikt omvårdnadsmässiga åtgärderna har växt. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att belysa ASIH- sjuksköterskors upplevelse av att vårda patienter i hemmet vid livets slut. Metod: Studien har en kvalitativ och deskriptiv ansats.

Quadrotor UAVs are self-stabilizing, autonomous flying machines that has recently become more popular than ever. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles have their roots in the military, where they were developed for use in reconnaissance and combat. During the last few years, advances in the fields of electronic sensors, electric motors and microcontrollers have enabled smaller designs and autonomic flight control even for private use. The quadrotor, which is the particular kind of UAV we are looking closer at in this paper, has 4 rotors in an X-like formation. This configuration has many advantages such as good lift capacity, non-complex mechanical structure and serviceability.In this project we aquired a current overview of the domain and determine whether it is possible to construct a quadrotor UAV designed for use in a WISENET sensor network on a low budget and short time schedule.Based on existing community project AeroQuad, a quadrotor is constructed with a budget of about 500 euro.

BAKGRUND: Alkoholkonsumtionen i Sverige har stigit sedan 1900-talet. En förhöjd alkoholkonsumtion kan leda till både fysiska och psykiska skador. Sjuksköterskor möter dagligen patienter med alkoholmissbruk och denna patientkategori kan ha svårigheter att själva erkänna alkoholproblemen. SYFTE: Syftet med denna studie var att belysa sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att vårda patienter med alkoholmissbruk. METOD: En litteraturöversikt, datamaterialet bestod av tio vetenskapliga artiklar varav fem kvalitativa och fem kvantitativa.

In the electronic industrials, power control of AC motors is commonly used. For example power control of a washing machine motor, a vacuum cleaner motor or a coffee machine motor. The company Rejlers Ingenjörer AB has many projects where power control of AC motors is included. A prototype card for this task can save time and money for the company in the future and this is the reason for this thesis.The motors are power controlled by a TRIAC and control of the trigging pulses to the TRIAC. This card is modularly built and can easily be adapted for future projects where the power control of AC motors are included.The prototype card can be used as a subsystem in a larger electronics projects or as it is in lab environment for testing and evaluating new motors..

Kommunikationen har stor betydelse inom sjukvården och det är många faktorer som kan påverka kommunikationen mellan sjuksköterska och patient. Syftet med denna litteratur-baserade studie var att ur ett patientperspektiv belysa faktorer som har betydelse för kommunikationen mellan sjuksköterskor och vuxna patienter med kontinuerlig kontakt med vården på sjukhus eller äldreboende. Metoden har varit en strukturerad litteraturba-serad studie baserad på Fribergs (2006) sju steg. Resultatet av de nio vetenskapliga artik-larna visar att patienternas upplevelser av kommunikationen påverkas av faktorer relate-rade till sjuksköterskornas personlighet, sjuksköterskornas profession, den individuella patienten samt miljö och organisation. Många patienter var över lag nöjda med kommu-nikationen till sjuksköterskorna.

Introduction Postoperative wound infections leads to increased patient suffering and cost society money because it leads to longer hospital stays. Previous research shows that patient related risk factors such as smoking, diabetes, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), advanced age (>65 years) a low preoperative hemoglobin level (<140g/L) and a high BMI (> 30) increases the risk of suffering a postoperative wound infection. Aim To investigate whether patients that underwent surgery with Coronary artery Bypass Graft (CABG) in a university hospital in central Sweden in 2013 and had any of these risk factors more often suffer from post-operative wound infection.MethodThe study has a descriptive design and is based on an ongoing infection registration area of operations. The study included 148 patients out of 255 (58%) undergoing CABG in 2013. Possible risk factors were collected through medical record review.Results There was no significant correlation between surgical wound infection and patient-related risk factors such as smoking (not quit smoking four weeks before surgery), diabetes, COPD, advanced age (>65 years), low preoperative hemoglobin (<140g/L) or a high BMI (>30) and suffered a postoperative wound infection.Conclusion More research and a larger sample is needed in the field to produce a reliable result could be presented..

The aim of this paper is to define the perceived consumer values that physical record stores create in order to compete with other distribution technologies. A qualitative method has been used, based on interviews with managers of three records stores in Stockholm. Interviews with their customers have been conducted also. The content has been analyzed with passable theories and the two sources have been compared when adequate.The conclusion of the study is that the physical record stores create many different consumer values, and that many of these are hard to transfer to other distribution technologies. One of the most important values for the consumer is that the personnel have a broad knowledge about music.

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common non-melanoma skin cancer. It can be divided in different subtypes. The most common type is superficial and is most frequently occurring on the trunk and on the face. In severe cases it can be difficult to differentiate basal cell carcinoma from other skin tumors, therefore a skin biopsy is conclusive diagnostic method. In terms of treatment, curettage is a common non-surgical treatment of basal cell carcinoma.

Kompressionsbehandling och fysisk aktivitet är de två vanligaste egenvårdsåtgärderna och det ligger ett stort ansvar på sjuksköterskan att motivera patienten till en fungerande egenvård. Syfte; Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva patienters svårigheter till följsamhet av egenvård och att belysa betydande aspekter i sjuksköterskans arbete för att kunna motivera patienter till följsamhet av egenvård vid venösa bensår samt att undersöka kvaliteten på urvalsmetoden forskarna till valda artiklar använt sig av. The main purpose of this essay is to study the role of documentation in Swedish health care today and the consequences of the augmentations in paper work that have taken place during the last couple of decades. The method used in this study is interviews with health care personnel.The following questions are treated:-       What kind of documentation has increased in Swedish health care?-       How is the patient/health care professionals affected?-       How is the work of the health care professionals affected?The conclusion of the essay is that the increasing amount of time spent on documentation that for much part has never been performed before, (such as risk analyses, statistics and writing much more thorough charts), has consequently left very little time for actual patient care. The research also showed that faith in health care professionals has significantly decreased and that one of the major reasons for increased documenting is the anticipation of and therefore protection against potential complaints. During the past few years there has been an observed decrease in physical fitness within different patient groups. As a part of the rehabilitating physiotherapy treatment it is important to acknowledge the physical condition of the patient. Physical fitness testing might be difficult due to physical limitations within different patient groups. A broad range of exercise tests is therefore of importance in clinical practice. The aim of this overview was to describe exercise tests used in rehabilitation contexts, and to define areas of use and restrictions.
