Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the difference in return between Swedish and Russian hedge funds while considering the risk taken.Method: This study is based on quantitative data on funds' historical returns from the electronic database Morningstar.se. Additional data is taken from the funds websites, the Swedish National Bank and Fondbolagens förening.Result and conclusion: All hedge funds, both the Russian and Swedish performed better thanthe index. The Russian hedge funds nevertheless performed better than their Swedishcounterparts in all three evaluation methods..

With the volume and availability of information increasing as fast as technological development in society a phenomenon called information overload has emerged. The purpose of our thesis was to investigate how university students experience this increase in volume and ease in access to information. In our study we concentrated our focus on the student?s use of electronic resources. So as not to prejudice our study group our questions focused on different aspects of searching for information.

Examensarbetet har gått ut på att uppgradera ett styrsystem och en operatörspanel för en centrifug i en kemisk industri. Projektets syfte är att centrifugen ska köras på ett mer automatiskt sätt med ett nyare system som har större tillgång till reservdelar.          Centrifugens äldre styrsystem från Siemens har bytts ut mot ett nytt Siemenssystem och den tidigare operatörspanelen från Siemens har bytts ut mot Beijer Electronic E1070 operatörspanel. Styrsystemet programmerades sedan i Siemens Simatic Step7 och operatörspanelen programmerades i Beijer Electronics E-designer.                Efter att programmeringen var klar testades kommunikationen mellan styrsystemet och operatörspanelen innan inkopplingen av det övriga systemet skedde.

Uppsatsen är en reflekterande uppsats som behandlar arbetsprocessen av det verk med samma titel skapat under Vt-2007 på Högskolan i Skövde. Den reflekterande uppsatsen inleds med bakgrund och idé till verket och bearbetar arbetsprocessen från mål, avgränsningar, kontext och avslutas med reflekterande diskussion kring resultatet. The purpose of this essay is to examine how public libraries work with children's books, in other languages thanSwedish, regarding acquisitions. The purpose is also to describe what the libraries assignments are in regard tochildren with non-Swedish backgrounds. This is then put in a relation to the libraries democratic assignment.The main questions are: What are the libraries' assignments, as described in the libraries regulations? The purpose of this essay is to study the process of developing electronic subject guides for the Internet. Our focus is the content, structure and layout of the subject guide. The study has resulted in a number of guidelines that may be of help in the development of future subject guides. To achieve this purpose we have studied the existing subject guide at one of the faculties of the University of Lund, Sweden. We performed a series of interviews with the originators, and made a questionnaire for the users.

The vertical electronic excitation energies for the narrow-bandgap polymers LBPF, EP37 and EP62 have been calculated using Density Functional Theory (DFT). Also the vertical excitation energies for the acceptor unit of LBPF have been calculated using the Hartree-Fock (HF), DFT and Coupled Cluster (CC) methods. The calculations cover the visible and infrared wave length region and two strong transitions are obtained, one corresponding to the pi to pi* transition and one corresponding to the pi to Acceptor transition. The excitation energies obtained from DFT are below the corresponding experimental results and attempts have therefore been made to perform bench-marking calculations using a hierarchy of CC methods..

It also results in longer hospital stay and increased costs for health care sector and because of this it?s important to identify and survery the origin and what preventive measures there are to prevent pressure ulcer. AIM: To illustrate the nurses´ work to prevent the origin of pressure ulcers. METHOD: A general literary study where scientific articles were searched and found in electronic databases and through manual searches.

I den digitala världen är elektroniska signaturer motsvarigheten till traditionella namnunderskrifter. Många lagregler innehåller ett krav på egenhändig underskrift. Frågan är om elektroniska signaturer kan anses uppfylla det kravet och på så sätt godtas istället för en namnunderskrift. Om inte, måste lagändringar till för att elektroniska signaturer skall accepteras. I förarbeten och doktrin finns skilda meningar om elektroniska signaturers rättsverkan och vad som krävs för att de skall godtas.

Around the year 2007, several news segments appeared in the Swedish media with focus on the social website Facebook. At the time, an increasing number of people in Sweden started to join the social platform and accepted the terms of contract to get access of the website, without further consideration of what they were agreeing to. This resulted in some private individuals felt violated when it turned out that major points of the contract entail that user?s private information, photos, videos and other publications that was shared on the website, were considered property of Facebook cooperation. Even though this incident made users more aware of what they should, and should not publish on the website, the episode did not result in users closing there accounts on Facebook.

Arbetet initierades i en period som karaktäriserades av stora nedskärningar inom den svenska högteknologi industrin och väldigt få examensarbeten var tillgängliga.Den entreprenöriella processen och tankesättet har varit väldigt tongivande för det svenska samhället. Denna anda har producerat flera stora internationella storföretag. Även om inte alla entreprenörer når de internationella företag i storlek så har småföretagen en minst lika viktig roll för utvecklingen av samhället med det kreativa tankesättet och synen på affärsmöjligheter.Rapporten består av litteraturstudie och en fallstudie Hermes Technologies. Med hjälp av modeller kring den entreprenöriella processen, teorier om de psykografiska förhållandena på högteknologiska marknader samt teorier kring skapandet av en markand och prissättning samt analysverktygen Affärsplattformen har en teoretisk bas byggts upp för att sedan appliceras på en fallstudie.Teorin framhäver hur viktigt upptäckten av affärsmöjligheten är för framgång tillsammans med ett kreativt hanterande av resurserna.Fallstudien består av uppstarten till grundandet av ett högteknologiskt utvecklingsföretag inom marknaden för Electronic Shelf Labeling system, ESL-system.

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), är en e-handelslösning för organisationer som har funnits sedan tidigt 1970-tal. När organisationer använder sig av ett EDI-system innebär det att organisationens affärssystem som till exempel ekonomisystem, ordersystem eller lagersystem utbyter information utan eller med minimal mänsklig inblandning. Denna uppsats syfte är att undersöka hur organisationer utnyttjar möjligheten att förmedla beslutstödjande information mellan deras affärspartners med hjälp av ett EDI-system. Undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra organisationer. Studien visar att organisationerna inte utnyttjar de möjligheter som finns med EDI-systemet i någon större utsträckning.

Many new electronic publication systems have arisen in the past few years, one of them is the weblog. In 1999 there were 23 weblogs, today there are millions thus a need for organisation has appeared, both special metadata and subject indexes have been invented and created. Due to the large amount of the latter we have in this thesis decided to concentrate on those close by the Scandinavian weblogindexes. A more international perspective would however have been possible, as very little is written on the topic. We have looked at these selected weblogindexes, trying to determinate whether they agree with F.

The purpose of this study was to examine the goals, possibilities and rationales that could be found in the discussions concerning the digging of ditches by governmental subsidiaries in order to drain the peat bogs of late nineteenth century Sweden. A further aim was to look at the effect on the landscape on a local level i.e. Släthults moss in Bäckaby parish, Småland in the south eastern part of Sweden. In order to be able to explain the connections between politics and landscape changes in a local population and its deciding bodies, influenced by ideas, science and production, a quadruple helix model developed from a triple helix model by Björn-Ola Linér was used. As a model of environmental history, three step thought was used, borrowed from Donald Worster.
