Utvärdering av möjligheten att tillvarata energi ur processvatten : En undersökning gjort vid Olofsfors AB på uppdrag av UMIA AB.
The company Olofsfors AB manufactures drive belts for forest machinery, known as ECO-Tracks, and abrasion-resistant steel and cutting edges for graders, excavators and tractors, known as Bruxite and SharqEdges. Manufacturing these products requires the steel to be heated and molded, then submerged in water and hardened. The water used in the hardening of steel is pumped to the process from pits below the floor and then pumped back to the pit after it?s been used. Since the temperature of this water rises after being used to harden the steel the temperature of the pumping pit needs to be adjusted to maintain its setpoint of 21°C.

Outages in the electric grid can be costly for society. Because of this, reliability is one of the parameters used to regulate network companies. Reliability in electrical grids can be measured with SAIDI, system average interruption duration index, which for Fortum Distribution has increased in Stockholm?s distribution network (11 kV) in the early 2000?s.By using outage data for Stockholm from 2011-2013, sets of parameters to be used for reliability calculations in the network information program Tekla NIS were derived. Two different options for investment were then analysed: changing old cables with high fault frequencies, and installing automatic switching in distribution substations.

This is no longer a problem that can be ignored, especially as the net owners are beginning to charge the reactive power they transport.In this thesis a couple of different methods of compensation and their prices will be discussed and evaluated. Problems, such as self-excitation, that can occur if one fully compensates the wind power plant will also be brought to surface.

This report summarize what have been done during the Master of Science Thesis that Klas Schjelderup has written for the company RANOTOR Utvecklings AB. The company is developing modern steam engines and this work should develop a machine to perform tests on a new type of piston seal that hopefully could be used in the future. The steam engines will be both volumetric and energy compact, around 1600hp/literof cylinder volume, and it will have a lot of practical applications.The new type of piston seal is hydrostatic lubricated which means that a fluid is separating two faces that normally is in contact. In this case pressurized water is used to separate the piston seal from the cylinder wall. RANOTOR have earlier formulated that at least the expander in the modern steam engine have to be oil-free, due to other components functionality in the closed water system.

This Diploma work investigates internal air ventilated crawl-space in respect to construction and damp. The Diploma work assumes from a general description of crawl-space and general dump problems in ground construction. An internal air ventilated crawl-space is a construction where you take the ventilation air from the building and bring it down to the crawl-space and lets the air circulate before it passes through a retaining aggregate on the way out from the crawl-space. In this matter you get a worm space under the building and a lot less dump problems in form of · Ground damp · Build damp The ground dump reduces through draining around the building, different layer of gravel between the ground and the building and ventilation of the crawl- space. The build dump reduces through ventilation of the crawl-space as fast as possible.
Produktionsutrustning för rörunderhåll
Syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att införskaffa lämplig utrustning
till förbearbetning och oförstörande provning. Utrustningen ska användas till
rör som svetsas på insidan. Arbetsgivare är Areva Uddcomb i Karlskrona.
Vi har använts oss av metoder från Fredy Olson. Detta för att få en enkel och
sammansatt struktur i arbetet.
Problemställningen har såvida varit att bearbeta rören på insidan för att kunna
applicera en svets och att kunna lokalisera om en defekt uppkommit i svetsen.
Investeringskalkyl baserad på ett flerbostadshus energiprestanda
The aim of this study is to find a method to incorporate the energydemand of a building in the investment cost estimate.The study is based on an actual apartment block. The significant energyaspects are identified, and changed to more energy efficient options.These are then simulated using the energy calculation program VIP+.The calculated energy need is used in the investment cost estimate, andthe simulated alternatives are compared in regards to their economicalprofitability.Depending on the focus, different alternatives are the most advantageous.Since this study aims to show which alternative is the mosteconomically profitable, the annual profit is the parameter of mostimportance. This means that individual measuring of heating and hotwater use is the recommended change of the original house. A changeof the windows to new ones with a U-value of 1,0 as well as 0,8W/m2K also results in a positive change of the annual profit comparedto the original house..
Tillståndskontroll av hydraulmotorer med hjälp av magnetindikator
Detta examensarbete är utfört vid Luleå Tekniska Universitet på uppdrag åt Hägglunds Drives AB i Mellansel. Hägglunds Drives tillverkar kompletta hydrauliska drivsystem, som inkluderar hydraulmotorer. I en hydraulmotor uppstår det slitage när metalliska ytor kommer i kontakt med varandra när till exempel ett lager får otillräcklig smörjning. Slitaget ger upphov till metalliska partiklar som cirkulerar i hydrauloljan och samlas upp i ett filter. Genom att samla upp och studera slitagepartiklarna kan man uttala sig om hydraulmotorns kondition.

This thesis has been carried out at Diac Metal AB at Torsvik outside of Jönköping. The company produces parts for, amongst others, office furniture and store equipment. The essay will be concentrated on one detail which is included in many of their products.Today the company uses an ordering quantity based on experience which is rarely updated. Furthermore the operations are performed in both the company?s own engineering workshop but also an external workshop.The purpose with the report has been to check whether an updating of today?s batch shaping and ordering system can mean simpler storage control and possibly cost reduction.

Intern företagsutbildning via e-learning är ett aktuellt ämne, framförallt eftersom företagen ser det som en chans att bli effektivare och spara pengar. Av de fretagsanpassade utbildningsapplikationer som finns på marknaden idag, är nästan samtliga skapta för att förklara fr användarna (kursdeltagarna) hur saker och ting ska fungera. Deras stora svaghet ligger dock i att förklara och förmedla varför dessa saker fungerar, varpå man riskerar att misslyckas med att förmedla en djupare förståelse och skapa en bättre kunskapsbas. Därför finns det troligen många anställda på företag som har fått lära sig hur allt runt om kring dem fungerar, men inte varför det nu fungerar som det gör. Denna examensrapport redogör för vårt arbete med att ta fram en webbaserad applikationsmodell, utvecklad i Adobe Flash, tilltänkt för utbildning, och som på ett enkelt men effektivt sätt synliggör hur olika typer av företagsflöden fungerar och, framförallt, varför de fungerar på detta sätt.
Molecular analysis of insecticide resistance in pollen beetle (Meligethes aeneus)
The escalating usage of pyrethroids has resulted in an increased awareness about resistance towards pyrethroids in insects. Pyrethroids inhibit voltage-sensitive sodium channels (VSSC) in nerve cell membranes and are composed of synthetic molecules based on pyrethrins present in pyrethrum extracts from Chrysanthemum species. VSSC are transmembrane proteins that are important for electric signalling over the membrane in insects. Mutations in the gene encoding the sodium channel have proved to be a common reason for resistance against pyrethroids. Pyrethroid resistance among pollen beetles is spread all over Sweden and also abroad and is increasing.

Marknaden för mobila system har utvecklats enormt snabbt de senaste åren. Idag är det ett område med en allt större omsättning och det har vuxit fram som en helt ny gren inom Software Engineering. Utvecklare av mobila applikationer står ständigt inför en utmaning när det gäller att välja vilket mobilt system man ska satsa på när man utvecklar applikationer. Valet av system kan vara helt avgörande för om man hittar rätt målgrupp av konsumenter och därmed kan generera tillräckligt med omsättning för att driva lönsam utveckling av applikationer. Det räcker inte att enbart kolla på vilket system som har mest användare eller vilket system som genererar mest omsättning, utan man bör noggrant överväga de förhållande som gäller för just den applikation som ska utvecklas.
